The location was good it was only a few minute walk from the beach and the local restaurants

The room wasn’t very clean and covered in cobwebs all around the room and bathroom, the bathroom felt very dirty. The staff were reluctant to clean the room when asked as the floor got very dirty. Secondly I was made to feel very uncomfortable about my appearance / weight from the male staff, he made a joke about the size of my clothes compared to my partners whilst doing our laundry, upon checkout he was asking how much I weighed which was unnecessary and was laughing to his daughter making jokes! It was unexpected and didn’t need to be asked! It made me feel very unsettled and uncomfortable I wouldn’t recommend to stay here as a female!

Lovely place! Close to the bus station and to the beach and with clean and nice rooms. Very helpful and caring hosts.

Simple room with a good bed and cooling ventilator. It stays relativly long dark in the morning, so it's possible to sleep a little longer. It's clean and the location is great situated between fishmarket, city center and the major beach of Tangalle. There is basic community kitchen which could be used, and the veranda next to the canal is super chill (no moskitos/dry season). Nihal was a great host, and I would definetly come back the next stay in Tangalle.

Loved the staff, breakfast and location! Great value

The whole hosting family is friendly, welcoming and cannot do enough for you, and always with a smile. The location is good both for the seafront and the town centre.

Excellent place, the room is way more beautiful than in the pictures :) The family also helped us with the laundry service.

The location is perfect for this property.

The bathroom could have been cleaner, but at the price this is an absolute steal and would stay again without a doubt.

Very kind and caring family who welcomed me with open arms, nice communication and tasty tea plus cookies. I slept very well in a comfy bad, had a clean shower and was allowed to leave my backpack over the day at their place. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Very centrally located and at the same time close to the main beach. The room is nice and there’s a very cute terrace overlooking the river. The host family is super welcoming, accommodating and helpful!

Unfortunately the bathroom was dirty while I was there. It might have been because of the low season and the less affluence of travelers. Not an issue for a couple of nights for me.

Great location, very friendly host and nice room.

It was somehow quite warm and our breakfast consisted of just two slices of toast, tea and a juice. Some eggs or so would have been nice.

Very comfy beds, big rooms, everything was clean. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They let us their scooter for 1 day. Breakfast was delicious!

Location was ok

There was no hot water, the breakfast was two slices of bread and jam with a banana. There was no milk for tea and was told we had to pay extra as this wasn’t included in the price. We booked a room with air on that was stated on the website there was only a fan.

Place with a lot of potential, good location regarding closeness to the beach and bus stop/main road. Owners are kind and welcoming.

Unfortunately the rooms are not maintained properly. Plaster is coming off of the walls every time we move the curtains, the room is literally filled with spiderwebs and dust (although it should be easy to remove ??), the bathroom is the worst. Nothing was cleaned, spiderwebs and bugs (dead and alive) everywhere, ... We barely slept at night as we were constantly bitten by ants/spiders in the bed(frame)... (Mosquito nets obviously aren't effective against an ants colony living in/around the mattress and bedframe) Of course nature has its own ways and we can't blame the presence of some mosquitoes/ants/spiders in the (bath)room, but we're sorry to say that this goes way further and is just plain laziness... Such a shame. Also rooms are extremely hot and hard to air, we had to sleep with open door all night (!).
