I can definitely recommend this place! Its very affordable and quiet at night. The 4 bed dorm has its own bedroom and is equipped with everything you need (lockers, fan). Each bed has a mosquito net, an individual fan and a power plug to Charge your phone. The Main house has a little terrace in front which is really chill. There are also some seats in the Backyard where you can enjoy the excellent breakfast. The owner amd his Family are super friendly. He helps you out with anything you need and speaks very good english. If i will come back to dambulla i will definitely stay here again.

This lovely, clean and comfy hostel is just a short walk from the bus station and is owned by an exceptionally generous and kind family. With a large supermarket within 500m and the quiet location away from major roads I can’t recommend it enough, especially for its very reasonable price ! If you get the chance to try some traditional home cooked Sri Lankan food I recommend it!

The homestay offers excellent value for money. The owner and his family are very warm and welcoming, providing lots of information about nearby attractions. You can also book tours directly through them. The breakfast is affordable and plentiful.

Such a nice hostel!! Lovely host family, they are more than happy to help you with anything. Great tips on where to go and what to do. The location of the hostel is great. 5 min walk to city and super close to main bus stops, I could just walk to the hostel with my backpack. But it feels so serene in the hostel garden, with chill hammocks, many beautiful birds to spot, and many wild animals just walking around. Would definitely recommend! :)

Calm place, very friendly owner, very nice breakfast (made vegan) for 500Rs. ~5 min to big Cargills, ~10 mins to bus stop, ~35 to cave temple. Beds have mosquito nets, small individual fans, sockets. Big lockers. Saw a peacock and mongooses in the backyard! (FYI - last bus back from Sigiriya is apparently ~5:30)

Lovely family, great value for money, the perfect place for a quick stop in Dambulla. Host helped book tuktuk and gave us good information for the bus

The bathroom had some dirt falling from the roof so the floor was always a bit dirty. Would be good to have a squeegee to make the bathroom dry after a shower

Lovely family is running the hostel. The hostel has a big garden with nice hammocks. The breakfast is cheap (500 lkr) and really good! You eat it in the garden which is a fun and nice way to meet the other travelers. The host can arrange trips for you which are a good price. Like a tuktuk to the cave temple and Sigriya rock afterwards. Met fun people in this place and played Singalese games with the children. Absolutely loved the stay!

    The location

The bed was not comfortable, the mattress was too thin. The bathroom had a poor shower , without a great pressure you had to slide against the wall to wash yourself and just cold water. The staff was keeping switching off plugs and the fan that was kept on to dry the towel, due to high humidity level. I felt they didn’t want to have a high electricity bill

We were waiting for your review. It's been 8 years since we started the hostel. In those 8 years, we haven't met a bad woman like you. The others who were in your room with you also said about your bad behavior. Do you remember that we gave you food and drink for free? Did you try to book another day because our rooms are not good? Before you posted the review, we informed booking.com about your bad behavior and asked you to stop booking our hostel again. It's okay if you lie. But behave well where you are. Then you can live well anywhere in the world. Thank you!!!

One of the cleanest places in Sri Lanka. The bed was super comfy. There is a big supermarket nearby.

I would like to have a towel for free, but it could cost more money. (200 rupee, if I remember correctly.) The location is somehow confusing, In the evening, there is no light on the road. I went to a family house first, then I could find the real place. Then I realized there was a sign. But in the daylight, it's very easy to find.

    Property response:

Our government should be responsible for the lack of street lights in the evening. Therefore, please inform our government. We also like to put lights on the road.We don't give free towels, our tower costs 100 rupees. In our country, 100lkr can eat only four toffees. thanks.
