The property is up a very steep hill. While there is a shuttle this is not always the most convenient. If you don’t mind a walk, this isn’t an issue.

The hotel has a picturesque roof top pool looking over the mountains which we enjoyed. The location is really close to the main street in Ella although it is up quite a steep hill.

The final slope up to the hotel from the main road is steep! We asked out taxi to drop-off and pick-up from the main road rather than attempt the incline. It's requires a degree of fitness if you're carrying heavy rucks or dragging suitcases. The hotel does however provide an on-demand shuttle service.

Awesome 360 views of Ella village, Little Adam's Peak, Ella Rock, waterfalls and temple from the top floor infinity pool deck and attractive bar terrace. The vantage point of the hotel (atop a steep hill) overlooking Ella village may seem an inconvenience, but Ella's bar can get noisy late at night, so not being too central was definitely an advantage, whilst still having a view of the evening energy. Walking distance to Ella's many bars and restaurants, Nine Arches Bridge, and Little Adam's Peak. Staff were very friendly. We will return to Ella and this hotel again in the future.

Very steep hill to get in and out of town, and a bit noisey from Ella Town

The staff here is kind, helpful and very nice. They offer a free shuttle into Ella Town and will also pick you up. Breakfast is good, and so are the views

The steep access

The steep access to the hotel was a bit of a surprise but they run a shutte service throughout the day and to be honest its a few minutes to walk down and 5 minutes to walk up if you have a reasonable level of fitness. Very close to all that Ella has to offer.

Room did smell a little but we just opened balcony door for a couple hours each day and it was better. Staff was so lovely and kind, but sometimes a little too attentive.

Access to the property is only by the hotel shuttle.. it’s a very steep road to get to the hotel and most cars can’t climb up there.. they have fixed timings for the hotel shuttle so be mindful of that while planning ahead.. outside the shuttle times it’s difficult to check in and out of the hotel..

I booked this hotel for the views, however the room itself did not have a view (well it had a view of the neighbours roof).

It’s just a note for potential guests browsing: it’s true that the road to the hotel is very steep but the hotel offers a shuttle service. We walked up there every time (except when we had the bags!). If you don’t have any issues walking, it’s durable. If you need access directly to the door, consider the shuttle is working until 6 PM.

Stunning views, very welcoming staff, well located! I agree with some reviews that say it’s one of the few hotels that actually are a true 4 stars one. The hotel had a parking space but our car couldn’t make the steep road so we had a shuttle service from the train station which has a non expensive parking. The staff also gave us great advice to explore the surroundings and have guided us on negotiating tuktuk prices. The pool has an amazing view and so does the restaurant and bar on the rooftop. We had dinner at the hotel and it was quite good! It’s not a super small boutique hotel but it has a nice cozy vibe still.

The road to the hotel was slightly confusing and maybe better sighnage would have helped but this is really me nitpicking. There really weren't any other negatives.

The staff were great! They were so friendly, helpful and very professional accommodating some of our requests including getting us in contact with a tuk driver who droves us for the day..We also loved the breakfast buffet with a variety of food. The rooms were clean and spacious and very comfortable. The food and drink options at the bar were excellent and the service was great. The pool area looked good but we didn't get a chance to use it as it was cold and rainy. Maybe next time!

Great hotel with nice views across Ella. Can’t fault it at all. Slightly steep walk back to hotel not a problem for us but some may struggle a little with this. Great staff who looked after us and always available for transport if needed. Ella also a great location with good choice of places to eat and things to do.

I read before the review when someone said it felt like “they’re really trying” so I felt the same. A few things were not on the level you expect it to be paying such a price. In house restaurant is a bit overpriced especially for Ella when you have so many amazing places much cheaper within walkable distance. It’s also located on top of the very steep hill which wasn’t the problem for me but I expect a lot of guests are struggling with the way up.

Very nice property in Ella. Good breakfast and exceptionally friendly staff. Make sure you spend some time by the pool which has stunning views.

Unfortunately and as the other reviewers have pointed out there is a horrendous steep climb to the hotel which can be very off putting if you were considering going into Ellla for the evening, other than the hotel pickup there is no other way of getting up bar walking.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Room was big and clean. Barman Maliksh?? And the other waiting staff last week. Particularly helpful and engaging, as was the minibus driver that always picked us up whenever we were down the town.. The views are stunning
