The air con is only turned on from 7pm-9am so it can get very hot in the rooms during the day and there’s nowhere to cool off. The activities with the hostel are quite expensive, you can definitely get them cheaper somewhere else.

Great location, 30 second walk to the beach. Rooms are fairly clean and comfortable. Staff are nice and it’s a very social hostel, lots of activities to do and free dinner every night is a plus. Perfect for a solo traveller.

There is no option to rent bicycles or motorbikes. Also, the staff took away the AC remote control for whatever reason (energy saving?) which was inconvenient anytime one wants to change the temperature or simply put the AC on.

The staff is great and plenty of activities are organised. You are sure to socialise and meet some cool people. The dorms are reasonably clean. The location is absolutely perfect.

AC was only on in the dorms from 7pm - 7am and the rooms got very hot during the day which made any napping during the day pretty grim - there was no control of the temperature of the AC during the time it was on so one evening it was on 20 degrees all night and everybody in the room got cold and had to put jumpers on etc but the next night it was on 24 and it was much better.

Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. There is a great social area and family dinners hosted each night for a reasonable price so a really good place to meet people. They offer a variety of tours also (albeit we didn't do any personally). The rooms are a good size so there is space to move around and sort out bags etc. Free water refill and space to dry towels/clothes etc.

Great vibe and wonderful freindly staff. Great hostel with large dormitory rooms and fab air com and was spotless and well maintained. Cool garden chilling area and two minute walk from beach. Crocodile tour and sunset was awesome. Great value for money and highly recommend. Thanks to all the staff.

Lots of animals and bugs in the room due to shoddy construction work/tiles. Shower room was big but no hot water.

Good value for money. Jay the host was fun and entertaining. We went out for drinks on the first night. Room was okay - air conditioning and fan worked well.

No mosquito nets. Poor and same breakfast every day, no tea or coffee. Poor cleaning (stayed for 4 nights, during this time no bath cleaning at all). Also there are volunteers in the hostel, who are supposed to help the guests. Some of them, though, were rly very rude and impolite (ex. Israeli girl). The hotel manager should maybe explain them how to work and communicate.

The whole Hostel does look messy. They should definitely improve the cleanliness, especially the kitchen.

The owner is a very nice guy and is great in creating a social vibe. Private rooms have an AC and are very big. They also have a Water refill station for free.

The breakfast could definitely be improved (a little bit more variety). It would also be nice if it could be a bit earlier (on the blackboard it was announced for 8 but it was almost never ready before 8:45).

Very social hostel, but you can also find your own space if you just have an evening where you want to be on your own. We were staying in a private room, which was very spacious and clean with a very good working AC. The family dinner was delicious and a very fair price. The staff is lovely!!

Perfect location, comfortable beds, quiet nights, AC working properly, huge lockers under the beds. Most importantly, the hospitality of staff , they also keeps the place suuuper clean, which is a very big asset for me personally! The AC was broken when we arrived — it took 2 out of our 3 nights to “fix” it, and even then the room was hotter than outside. The staff didn’t take the issue seriously and made jokes when we tried to explain the problem — maybe because they were visibly high at the time. Or even worse, didn’t find any issue here. The shower broke on the first day and wasn’t fixed for 24 hours. They told us we’d get a proper discount for all the inconvenience, but at checkout the discount was barely 25% (which turned out to just be their low-season rate). Worse, they tried to charge us for late checkout after they themselves told us to leave our bags in the room while we went diving. Reception wasn’t even open before 10am. We had to push hard just to get a 35% discount. Overall, the facilities strongly need a refurbishment, the staff are unprofessional and mostly interested in drinking with guests and flirting with tourists. But compared to hostels in similar countries (e.g. Masaya in Colombia), it’s three times the price for a third of the value. Would strongly not recommend. This place is a boulevard for the competition. Anyone opening a half-decent hostel nearby would crush it.

The only saving grace is the good vibe created by fellow travelers, the parties were fun and the people we met were great.
