The manager is very friendly, sincere, and helpful. He welcomed us warmly. He provided information about our room and the surrounding area. The room was very clean and tidy. Everything we could possibly want was available. The hotel is also within walking distance of the city center. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Unfortunately, European tourists think they own the hotel when they rent a room for a few days. They talk loudly in the early hours of the morning and allow their children to make noise. Get rid of the idea that you can do anything because you bring foreign currency into the country. The locals don't say anything to you because Asians are very polite and kind and don't want to offend anyone. Show some respect.

Facilities nice and very clean. Jaye is helpful.

Location is a bit out so u always need Tuk Tuk or car to move around. But this gives u quiet time.

It was quiet and peaceful with a lovely view. Jaye was able to assist us in booking tickets to the cultural dance show which was great. We only stayed for one night but we enjoyed it overall.

There is a steep descent to get to the Homestay and therefor a steep ascent back up so just be aware incase of any mobility issues.

Great location near city centre (walking) but even greater hosts. And this is is nicest place we’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka so far (it’s our 6th place). Very modern, super clean, comfortable beds, and very nice view.

Breakfast included would be a nice touch. Still, we ordered breakfast and it was good.

The property is very peaceful, a short tuk tuk ride from the chaos of the Kandy streets during the Perahera Festival. Jaye advised me to get the Pick Me app, which was a game changer in getting around. The room was clean and comfortable & the breakfast was delicious. Great views too.

The view from the room overlooking Kandy and the surrounding hills is breathtaking; The breakfast was delicious and freshly made: try the local breakfast Jaye (both Junior and Senior) are really welcoming and kind

The breakfast was really good! The room is nice and clean and the bed comfortable. A room with a view! The host is friendly and up for a chat!

The road down to the property is very steep which can be a bit scary carrying heavy luggage.

Very clean, and comfortable bed. Great location with views over Kandy. 15min walk into town or 5mins in a tuktuk. Breakfast was lovely - we had the local choice and we would totally recommend. Owner was really nice and helpful and spent time chatting with us.

Spacious room, with nice bathroom and a good shower. Easy check-in and check-out, with help from Jaye's younger son making it extra special! View from the balcony overlooked Kandy, and was easy to get into town or back to the homestay, either in a tuk-tuk or on foot (our preferred method)

Nothing but just be prepared to walk uphill on the return journey!

Jaye's was the only homestay i did in SL during my 3 week holiday. It was an exceptional experience. The food rivalled the hotels i was staying at (pol sambol was the best I've eaten). Jaye even organised my dinner. Room was large with shower.

It was just the most cozy stay we could imagine. Room was amazing, host took outstanding care of us, breakfast was lovely.

If you’re looking for a comfortable homestay, Jaye has it all. The bed was great, the shower was amazing and Jaye and his family is super friendly and relaxed.

Everything was perfect except the shower that did not turn on… (it was a little to late to ask) the host gave me great recommendations what to do and gave discounts for certain activities

The host was exceptional , very helpful in every way . The room was spotlessly clean and had a good comfortable bed .

We are so glad we chose Jaye's Homestay for our time in Kandy. The setting is lovely --- close enough to walk to town (though on a hill, so can easily take a tuk tuk to town or elsewhere if preferred) but on the edge of the jungle with beautiful lush scenery. Jaye is such a friendly, welcoming and informative host! The room had a comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom and nice balcony to enjoy the view. And the breakfast was plentiful and delicious and served on a scenic patio.

No complaints at all

The host Jaye is very friendly and helpful. I arrived early at 10am and my room was already ready. I had my shuttle service cancelled at the last minute and he arranged a transfer for me at a fair price. The room has everything you need as a solo travelers (including the AC). The location is convenient. Despite the proximity to the city center, you still enjoyed the tranquility at night with a great city view of Kandy.
