Peaceful Location with Great Hospitality I had a very pleasant stay! Although the property is slightly away from the city center, it’s easily accessible and offers a peaceful environment—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. One of the highlights was the beautifully designed common area. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy meals, especially in the morning when the view is serene and refreshing.

"I had a great stay! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool was really nice. Manjula's Sri Lankan food was especially tasty – a real highlight of the trip. Though it's a little far from the beach and restaurants (10 mins by a tuk), the place is so peaceful and relaxing – perfect for a getaway. Would definitely recommend!" Would definitely come again!

Location is very quite and those would like to escape from busy life highly recommended here as staffs are very freindly and accommodating. Good room facilities and breakfast.

I had rented a tuk tuk which had an oil leak, the staff went out of their way on a public holiday to locate and escort me to a garage where this could be repaired, whilst negotiating a price and ensuring this was a fair price. They made what could have been been a stressful experience very easy and it was appreciated.

We loved our stay at Fort Edge! It was a little bit out of the main town, but this is why we booked here!We rented a scooter and had the absolute best time. The staff, facilities, food and everything else was absolutely amazing. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcome and for making our stay unforgettable.

One thing: change the overused beach towels, and you'll be the best! ;)

The staff helpful and kind, the rooms are clean and comfy beds. The restaurant also good one! It is far away from hustle&bustle but everything nearby. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Tuk tuk drivers occasionally found it difficult to find, but this was not a major problem.

A lovely place, with a nice pool, a good Sri Lankan breakfast, and very friendly and helpful staff. The beautiful garden was frequently visited by rare purple-faced langurs, as well as colourful birds and monitor lizards. Would definitely stay there again.

It was a great 5 day stay, the staff, like all throughout SL were friendly and attentive. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and a lovely clean pool. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. The staff were great fun and a great team!

Sometimes it was hard to get a tuk/uber to come, however when the driver is called and the staff assists by speaking in the local language they always manage to find it.

Had an amazing stay here, could not have wished for better facilities, staff was very friendly as well. Rotating breakfast as well.

We didnt expect the place to be so beautiful and clean. The staff were so welcoming and supportive and all the facilities were great quality. Even the rooms felt like a 5 star stay.🩷

Everything was perfect

We have now traveled to 58 countries and the Fort Edge Retreat is definitely one of the best we have ever had. The service is outstanding. We got an upgrade straight away and were able to move into the family suite two days early. Everything is super clean, laundry service, Prrasad, who also works in the kitchen, took us to Unawatuna or Galle and picked us up at any time, just sent a WhatsApp and a short time later he was there. On the last evening we were invited to a traditional curry. The pool is super nice and is cleaned every day. The owner and the manager are also constantly trying to fulfill every wish, organized trips and did everything else to make our stay perfect.
