Pools were not clean so we were unable to use.

Beautiful view of pitons, nice spacious rooms, lovely staff & delicious breakfast. The fresh mangos from the tree were the best I’ve had so far in St Lucia!

The smaller pool was never cleaned so we could not use the small pool which was more convenient for us to get to than the other pool. There wasn’t a lot to do at the resort.

The location and the staff were excellent.

The decor, furniture and the building overall was very tired and dated, the furniture was very dated and mis-matched, there was a small kitchenette in the room and a fridge which was great for storing drinks, there was also air conditioning in the room and that was a saving grace even though I still got bitten by mosquitos, I did see cobwebs on the wall and ceiling of our room, which has not been included in the overall cleaning of the room, the building is made of wood and has rooms on the ground and 1st floor, we were situated on the ground floor and above us was a couple, who were very heavy footed when walking this caused issues for us especially when they returned after a night out, very annoying and we complained but could not move due to sell out bookings!

The bed and shower were the best features, also the infinity pool was well placed, you could see the view of the Pitons and the town of Soufriere, the breakfast was good even though you could only choose 2 options out of 4, we had lunch and dinner at the restaurant and this was very good, I would recommend eating at this restaurant

Room was not very clean and could use some renovations and adjustments

Beautiful views of the bay and Pitons and property but not well kept. We stayed in the Cashew King room and the door handle on the balcony door was broken (used key to open it). The bathroom and the linen were not very clean. The rug was also dirty. Breakfast was good and served in a nice area with Pitons views and friendly staff. There is a nice infinity pool with stunning views if you decide to stay in for the sunset + dinner. The location is also good, few min from town. If you stay in this area go to Mango Tree and Treetop for dinner. Overall, I found it overpriced for the condition and cleanliness but still enjoyable, especially for the nature around it and views.

Great location, views and pool, but the resort could use an update.

The rooms were very basic and outdated. The facilities (steps, pathways, main building) could use an upgrade. The breakfast, which was included, is fine but gets repetitive if you're there for more than a day or two as there are no other options besides eggs, toast, muffin and fruit.

The views from the resort were spectacular. Really lovely infinity pool, although it's a hike to get to it. (The pool closer to the main building was out of service.) The staff were warm and welcoming. It's a great location on the island -- close to lots of activities like hikes, the volcano, mineral and mud baths, etc. Our rooms had air conditioning, which was appreciated.

I can only talk about our room which was away from the main accommodation and restaurant. Our bed was great, everything else was mainly shabby uncomfortable or missing knobs or just scruffy, the safe was unusable, there was no view to start with (main reason we chose that room) obscured by trees, management had them trimmed. When we complained to the manager about anything he just said he would tell the owner.

The location, amazing views of the sea and the Pitons. Huge grounds, very beautiful, quite a hilly walk from the restaurant to our room: Cashew 1. We often drove down especially if we had bags etc. The infinity pool is brilliant, but the very few sun-beds were either broken or very uncomfortable if not dangerous, no chairs or umbrellas.

The La Haut Resort is a Gem

Everything was great, except in heavy rainfall and wind the Wi-Fi in the original building temporarily stopped working but the internet was available at the infinity pool, down the lane, next to the owner's house.

The La Haut Resort offers affordable accommodation combined with amazing views of the lush, green hillside, the iconic Pitons, the Caribbean Sea and the valley of Soufriere. Our spacious, clean room upstairs in the original building had high ceilings, as well as a kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. We enjoyed chilling out on our large veranda, looking at the scenery and listening to the crickets. The separate restaurant onsite opposite our room provides a complimentary breakfast and also has fantastic views. All the staff were very friendly and there was a night security guard. There are 2 swimming pools, one of which is an infinity pool next to the owner's house which is particularly special. The La Haut Resort will appeal to anyone who has the travelling vibe, particularly young at heart couples and groups of friends.

Some of the buildings and grounds looked a bit tired and in need of some TLC. For me a little bit overpriced, but I suppose with a lovely breakfast included it wasn’t too bad.

The property has amazing views of Soufriere and the Pitons and the infinity pool was great. The staff were great too, very welcoming and helpful, we had a big room with a balcony and the bed was lovely and comfortable, the room was clean and had everything we needed for a quick one night lay over. The restaurant was good with a decent menu, food was very nice.

Parts of the property did look tired and required a bit of TLC - but this had no impact on my enjoyment, and I believe the hotel is being renovated in the new year. A vehicle is required unless you have legs of steel as getting from Soufriere to the hotel and getting around would otherwise be quite challenging. Sunbeds at the infinity pool could do with an upgrade as they were uncomfortable to lay on - but spending most time in the pool, again there was a way around it.

Beautifully located overlooking Soufriere and the Pitons, this location is perfect for a relaxed getaway, likewise driving to local attractions is less than 20 minutes - just be aware these roads are winding, with many potholes. Surrounded by nature and being an ex plantation, the resort has a laidback rustic charm about it. Staff are welcoming and friendly, even non-guest facing staff will be acknowledging and willing to assist. The restaurant on-site was predominantly St Lucian and Jamaican, breakfast was lovely and relaxed too.

Overall staff were very courteous and friendly. Except for one. The pool needs to be cleaned and the walls need to be power washed. Love the room attendant Marva.

For a Caribbean island, complementary breakfast should not be limited to eggs and toast.

The management of the hotel needs to be improved. The cleaning staff have brilliant customer service - Martha is truly great and would be brilliant in a more customer facing role. Even in low season the rooms are not cheap so you expect a standard and for staff to communicate with each other as you are the customer.

The location and pools and restaurant are wonderful. It is a magical place. The breakfast was very good with fresh basil and amazing sausages. It was really a great pace.

We had originally booked the cottage but when we arrived we realized the cottage set up was not going to work for us because there were just too many levels and steps that we could not manage. The cottage was not quite as accurate as the photos shown online. To their credit, they did give us a room near the office and restaurant and we did receive a little reduction in price. But not much.

The location with the view of the Pitons was incredible! The people were very nice and friendly. The pools were beautiful and very well kept. We enjoyed our stay and will always have fond memories of our time spent there. I would advise to get a room near the entrance because the other rooms were down a gravel road and quite a walk to. Our sons stayed in the cashew section of the property which was nice for them but the walk back and forth was very tough especially in the heat of the day and it is very hot this time of year. We had to change from the cottage to a regular room and they were eventually accommodating. After that our stay there was very pleasant. I would stay at this location again.

Instalations are too old and need refurbish. The pool lacks maintenance (it always seems dirty). I had to pay almost half of the daily price to stay after check out (as I had a late flight)… no other suitable solutions were offered.

Disappointing set breakfast. No sun umbrellas and little shade by either pool. Dogs barking & guinea fowl calling on some nights. But the views made the stay worthwhile.

Stunning views. Very peaceful during the day. Convenient for visiting the stunning Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens, Sulphur Springs, Tet Paul trail, Sugar & Anse Mamin beaches. We preferred this quieter southern part of the island to the north.
