Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I loved my stay here. The owner, Christopher, has put in a lot of thought to organising the room which has plenty of clothes storage, a very well equipped kitchen with cooker, microwave, large fridge and all the utensils you need. It is a lovely cheerful green colour and has a large comfortable bed. The separate bathroom has a great shower. There are table and chairs, TV and sliding doors to a covered balcony and nice view of the local area with the sea and piton in the background - a lovely place to sit. Christopher lives downstairs and is discrete but very helpful. He even brought me fresh bread and bananas for breakfast! He runs a taxi company and can arrange trips for you. If you like to stay somewhere which is not touristy and feels like you are in a real community - this is for you. It is on a quiet street in a residential area with a school nearby, a grocery shop and bakery a couple of minutes walk away and maximum 10 minute walk to the beach. A larger supermarket and the town centre are within a 15 minute walk. I was travelling alone and felt very safe, locals greeted me in the street and on the beach but I was never hassled at all. There is a lot to do here if you like the outdoors. The beach is sandy with clear sea and a couple of good places to eat and drink. There is a small diving centre which seemed very well and safely run, the diving was lovely - lot of different fish and several turtles. There are walks in the area, including to the top of the piton with great views, waterfalls to visit, sulphur and mineral springs and botanical gardens all nearby. I spent a day at the Hotel Chocolat Estate which was very interesting and a real treat. My visit was in late May so there was quite a bit of rain but generally in short heavy bursts which I enjoyed especially from the room's balcony and didn't interfere with my beach trips. Overall, a lovely place to visit and excellent place to stay. I hope to return next year. Thank you Christopher!

CanadaMaggie's Inn was the ideal place to stay in Soufrière. Right in the town, waterfront, groceries, restaurants and some activities were within easy walking distance, and although we didn’t have a car for going to beaches and other excursions, it wasn’t an issue. Christopher, the owner/host who lives downstairs was amazing - and also runs a taxi service and made sure we always had a ride when needed. The apartment itself was spotless and fully equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen and thoughtful touches throughout. We especially loved the private terrace with views over the town - a great place to have breakfast . The bed was super comfortable, and the shower was the best we had on our whole trip of multiple accommodations over almost 4 weeks. We only stayed three nights but could easily have for a couple weeks!

The property was very clean, at a good location and with an amazing view to the Gros Piton. The room is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. Our host Christopher was very helpful, he owns also a taxi company and was driving us around. Renting a car there is a bit tricky due to the very tiny and steep roads, so using a taxi was the best option for us although a bit restrictive where you want to go. Communication with Christopher was really easy and he was very responsive and accommodating with our requests. He welcomed us with cold beers in the fridge and made us feel like home.

United KingdomLike a little home from home. This place was honestly great; from all the amenities provided , to the location and not forgetting the staff. Clyde looked after me throughout my stay and I couldn't have been taken care of more. You can also order breakfast from one of the women in the town (Joan), which was the cherry on top with the amazing view. Would definitely look to come back and highly recommend to anyone visiting.

United StatesI literally can't think of anything. For some it may matter that there is 1 flight of stairs to the apartment, and parking is on the side of the street.
I cannot recommend Maggie’s Inn highly enough. I was able to see many various lodgings and airbnbs friends were staying in, and I am so happy with my choice. The bed and AC were comfortable, I had everything I needed, the patio was perfect for morning tea, and the hosts were always available. Location: walking distance to the water/stores in town, 700m to large supermarket, 1 block to tiny convenience store, nice view of town and pitons and little bit of ocean. Can park on street in front. 1 wide staircase up to the apartment. Amenities: good wifi, amazing air conditioning (which many places don’t have! Cools quickly and can set super low if needed), full kitchen and utensils/oven/stove/pots/fridge/ketle/toaster, couple beers and water bottles, iron and board, blowdryer, USB outlets and a couple American outlets, plenty of soap/dish soap/shampoo/toilet paper/paper towels, large shower with good water pressure. Some I didn’t use but were available: coffee maker, salt/spices/oil/coffee/tea/sugar, washing machine, first aid kit. Everything also seemed quite new (March 2025). Cleanliness: exceptionally clean. Other places had ants and there was not a bug in sight here. Sleeping: comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, all windows tinted and most have black out curtains Communication: easy access with PIN code. Hosts live downstairs and have WhatsApp to communicate. Easy checkin and they checked in on me multiple times throughout the stay. Offered breakfast ordering/delivery, had list of suggested plans, and also run taxi service so had taxis with prices listed in room. Hosts were very kind and made my stay so perfect! I will happily return!

United StatesChristopher is a wonderful host and has done a great job of anticipating a traveler's needs. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and organized. He even had tea and coffee available along with basic cooking supplies. Beach chairs and an umbrella available for rain. The shower was fabulous. Great water pressure and a rain head. The porch was very nice. We could sit outside even when it rained. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach in Soufriere and to Diamond Falls. His taxi service got us around the island. A great place to stay and I would stay there again.

United StatesWhat can I say, all of the great comments made by previous guests are true. The location is perfect for your stay in St. Lucia. Great restaurants we're walking distance away. The accommodations were wonderful, everything you can think of was available for you. If you forgot your umbrella there was an umbrella for you to use. If you forgot your electrical converter there were several electrical converters for you to use. I really enjoyed our morning coffee on the outside terrace overlooking the town, with the harbor in the background. Finally, there were no issues with safety, we felt safe the entire stay.

United KingdomWe thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in this clean, comfortable and well-located apartment. Christopher had arranged our taxi pick-up from the airport - and he gave us a warm and friendly welcome on arrival at Maggie's Inn. The apartment offered everything that we needed - and more, with lots of lovely little extra touches. A mini market is nearby - and Massy supermarket is within walking distance. The harbour, beach, shops, eateries and bars are all nearby. We enjoyed our visit to the waterfall & botanical gardens - a short taxi ride away.

United StatesI bring this up only because this is the first place in 3 weeks that charged a 50USD cleaning fee: We had to wash the dishes before we could use them. When you charge a cleaning fee that is half the daily rent, you should not rely on the guest to clean the dishes and the toilet.
We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, listening to the rain. The studio is equipped very well and offers great views all around. Host is courteous and helpful. Thanks for the option to store luggage and for the beers!! I would certainly come back.

United KingdomLocation was within Soufriere, so was a great location and a short walk from all local amenities. On arrival, both the host and their taxi service made us feel welcome and showed us the local amenities in the town for us to enjoy and use - including restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets etc. Before our trip, Christopher was very responsive to messages and helped us organise transportation from the airport to the accommodation, as well as organising various excursions and trips over the following days - including a local tour of various attractions, hiking Gros Piton and visiting nearby beaches. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Maggie’s Inn and would recommend it!

United StatesIt would have been nice if he provided a big jug of water. Buying the liter bottles was a hassle and makes for more plastic waste.
Maggie's Inn is within easy walking distance of downtown and the Beach and action Adventure Diving. It is very clean and looks exactly like the pictures. He had fresh fruit and water and a couple of beers in the fridge! Christopher is an excellent host and has a taxi business to boot. He picked me up at the airport, drove me to the Diamond Falls and Tet Paul trail and the grocery store. The kitchen is very handy. He knows everything about the island. I stayed nine nights and was very happy.

Super conveniently situated if one wants to explore the south of Saint Lucia and especially the area around Soufrière, such as the Pitons or the hot Sulphur Springs. Christopher is one of the most helpful and kind hosts I encountered in the more than 70 countries I’ve been traveling to so far. If going back to Saint Lucia I will definitely stay there again!
