The Hotel could use a serious makeover. The rooms and facilities are ancient! I get that they try to preserve the Hotel’s legacy, but it hinders its image. The staff is extra 😁 they are all-smiles, and always looking to make your stay better. The breakfast does justice to the Lebanese cuisine.

Normally, I would expect a kettle and a blowdryer to be present in a hotel room, but they were absent. Tissues, toilet paper, and soap were also limited.

Few things I didn’t like: WiFi was extremely poor and not reliable - so get you own data ready. Not much of public areas to sit around except the lobby and pool area. No space in the garden is given to hotel guests, as they assigned majority of the space to restaurants. Some great team members are there and some others lacking motivation or training. The human aspect can be a differentiating factor of its well invested .

Legacy property with great location and views from the room. Please expect that it’s kind of vintage collection, so drop your expectations from any modern aspect in the property and go back in time and enjoy the history, which is felt around every corner of the place.

We booked last minute and the staff was ready for us anyway. I liked that there had been updates to the bathroom which showed me they were investing more in the hotel. It was a great getaway for my wife and I.

Room and furniture are too old. It has all the potential to be a 5-star-hotel including history, location, and architecture. Urgent renovation needed.

The suite required some more maintenance; balcony light was broken. The room service was very slow; we ordered coffee and received it cold

pool area is really now a bar so not so great a space by day to relax, but that is ok, the trade off is that the bar is great by night for fusion Peruvian menu and drinks really not 5 star but we knew that reading a couple of reviews and seeing the photos, would be better to describe as 4 star and be met with a realistic expectation and then no one left disappointed.

Shower pressure and lack of hot water whilst having a shower

The property is an excellent location. My only criticism is the shower head pressure is very soft and there is limited hot water. Also by the pool, service ceases at 4pm as they need to set up for the outdoor club.

Aircon pipes seem to be inside the wall above the bed in our room, so there is always a low rumble that even earplugs couldn’t block out. We had an early checking which was very well appreciated. However there were used dirty dishes in the sink and mess on surfaces when we arrived. This was swiftly dealt with once the staff were made aware.

Friendly staff - George at breakfast always greeted us with a warm smile and taught us a little Arabic! Good choice of restaurants in the hotel and nearby - Cinco on Wednesday evening is amazing. Lovely, clean, big pool.

The options for the breakfast are limited, maybe to add more fresh things and different sorts of desserts, while the restaurant is excellent and the staff are very good

The staff are very friendly, the location is superb, the view of the balcony is excellent, I recommend it to have the historical cultural atmosphere and nice hospitality.

It is quite outdated although one floor was refurbished. Many carpets and a lot of the furnishing need replacing; they are past their sell- by date!
