The restaurant that was talked about in the reviews did not exist (maybe because it was start of off season?). There was a building but that was the managers kitchen and hang out spot - not clean and welcoming for guests as shown in the photos. Shower room had no door, toilet room only had a plastic curtain. No kettle in the room even though it was advertised to have one. Squeaky beds. Thin walls.

Good location on the riverside street (no view). Close walk to restaurants and hikes. Triple room had enough space with good fans and aircon.

- communication with the owners was maybe a little confusing at time, for instance we got the information that payment for the room was only cash literally when our van back to luang prabang was arriving. - no breakfast or food available in the restaurant, but maybe because it was low season? - compared to other guesthouses of similar standards across Laos, this one felt slightly more expensive, while having no breakfast included and the bathroom felt less convenient.

- we were able to check-in very early - the room was a separate bungalow, in a very calm street. Bungalows are made from traditional Lao bamboo folding technique, very breathable. - A/C and fan in the room, and hooks to hang clothes

The accommodation in the bungalows, particularly the bathroom was quite basic. Although we were on the edge of town, the other residents were quite noisy because of the thin walls, until after 1030pm.

The staff couldn't be more helpful for the first 2 days with the kitchen and dining facilities and fixing a broken shower. Very helpful try to arrange boat hire. The replacement man for the 3rd day was not quite as proactive, but helped when asked.

The bathroom - small, no door, no warm water

Cute cabin with big comfy bed and good AC however I do agree with other reviews stating it is a bit expensive for what you get. The bathroom has no door and no warm water unless you leave it on a trickle amount. It’s also a 10-15 minute walk to the other side of the bridge where most things are happening. The man at the reception was very helpful however I suggest booking any boats or laundry separately as we realised he always charged us a bit more . (Eg private boat to Muang ngoi was 600 from the pier but he told us 800, the laundry was actually 30/kg but he charged us 50/kg) . A plus is that they conveniently offer buses to and from Luang Prabang. We didn’t get to try the restaurant as the chef was away for Tet holidays!

They’re definitely more “shack” like, very simple materials and furnishing it’s obviously old and worn down, not sure how long they will last without some renovations. Like cracks in the windows and doors, holes in the tiles to the dirt outside.

Hotels in a fantastic location by the river surrounded by beautiful mountains. The staff/owner were so helpful and were available around the clock. They also booked us transport and were all round very friendly people. The bed, pillows and fluffy blanket made it comfortable to sleep at night. Also nice to have a fan and aircon. Warm shower too.

Cosy bungalow and lovely, friendly staff. Beautiful view across the river from the restaurant - great for breakfast and for a beer at sunset. Short distance from the town centre so it is both quiet and quick to get to restaurants.

Noi who manages the property is super helpful, kind and friendly. She does whatever she can to help the guests. She is a go to person for whatever you need. Her husband also helped me when needed. Thank you both so much. The room was comfortable enough.

Something that is very common in Laos is to have toilet in the shower, but it seems to be normal and we get use to it.

The property is great, little bit old school but it fit perfectly with the surrounding environment.

Very firm bed, like being on a plank of wood. No bathroom door! This also makes the floor wet outside of the bathroom when showering. Our toilet flush didn’t work properly. Hopefully this is fixed now. Very thin walls so that you can hear the neighbouring room talk. A 10-15 min walk to the high street.

Nice owner who helped with booking our bus tickets onwards. Free water refills. Quiet location by the riverside. Pretty flowers and gardens.

There is no door to the shower \ toilet. A table inside the room will be nice. The restaurand was not open, but they said it will be open next week.
