How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Fabulous location in the town of Vang Vieng. The building is lean with tidy room, very huge bedroom. There is a shared balcony, a good place to relax or work online, perfect Wi-Fi connection. Definitely suggest!

Everything! We paid about 20$ for a room for two persons with free tasty breakfast. Drinking water provided at the lobby, free tourist information with very useful suggestions from such a kind guy at reception. The room was spacious, clean and tidy, basically equipped. Other thing we loved most, the location!

Comfortable room size for two people and it is clean. Kind staff with any good suggestion. Nice view on higher floor Acceptable breakfast. Do not ask more with this budget room rate.

Comfy bed, warm water, A/C, balcony and spacious rooms. Even a hairdryer and laundry service. The location is a bit hard to find, not on the main road, so it is quiet. Everything you need is within walking distance. You can quickly book some daily tours with them, and the staff was so friendly. We were doing an overnight trekking and could leave our bags here for the night and checked in the next day.

The tour provided with good quality and reasonable price, I loved the river tubing and had a lot of fun. The bedroom was great and spacious, the location was good as well.

Having umbrellas for guests in rainy days will be great!!!
Tom is a kind and helpful receptionist I have ever met before. His English is not so good, but he always tries his best to serve you as good as he can. The room was cleaned on requests, refresh towels and shampoo. The bedroom was large with nice balcony. The guest house located in the corner of road, near green restaurant and viman restaurant, street food nearby.

A basic place with nice room. Perfect location. I had great time with Tom and his brother who run this family guesthouse. Return Vang Vieng for sure, and choose nice view guesthouse for the 2nd visit.

The room is spacious and clean. The bed is comfortable. Alex, the manager, is really nice and helpful—he helped us book a hot air balloon ride and rented us a motorbike. His brother, Tom, always replied quickly through the Booking app. We totally recommend this place!

Should have a fan in rooms, at least in a family room with children
A shared balcony was nice and spacious for our kids, they had a place to walk around. The room we got upgraded free, also large, with a small fridge to keep foods and drink cool. Taking care from Tom, a guy at reception, brother of owner, very helpful. He could do anything for our family if he could, a kind person. Highly recommended

There was a cable TV but it did not work during our stay, no signal to watch
This is a great choice for Vang Vieng. The room was clean with reasonable size, basic facilities. The shower was good with hot water. I liked that there were plenty of power sockets. Breakfast was made to order eggs, bread, fruit & coffee and really tasty.

Nothing at all
The host was so patient with our many of questions and made it so much easier to maximize our time there by giving us useful advice, organizing tuk-tuk and pointing us in the right direction for tours. Morning with hot air balloon, return with breakfast and joined day tour, late evening transfer to Vientiane by train. We had only one day, but we wanted to see all things. And the staff arranged all so well for us, we were pleased with this decision. Definitely recommend!

Super kind family-owned guesthouse with a tasty breakfast, helped us with booking any trips or tukktuk, even buses that we need during the time there. It is ery easy to communicate with them with their good English. Centrally located in Vang Vieng.

Room services on requests
The breakfast was tasty and optional. Our room was tidy, a bit dated, but nice and clean. The price matched with the guesthouse service provided, we were pleased with our stay there for what we paid, not cheap and acceptable. We enjoyed our stay at this family guesthouse.

Budget guesthouse with large room and breakfast, not so much, but it was enough for a light and fresh meal. First floor no view, it did not bother us because we needed a simple and clean place to sleep and good price. Friendly guy with any free help
