Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsAbsolutely loved our stay in Naga Lodge. The huts are just perfect: private, designed with taste, attention to detail and respect for the environment. The views are amazing. And although a basic hut -the bathrooms are shared- there is no compromise in comfort: high quality towels, linen, bathrobes, etc.

United KingdomThe only criticism we have is that the lodge could do with improved (brighter) interior lights. It was not easy to arrange baggage after sunset.
The location was fantastic. The staff were kind and the food was amazing.

Netherlands-
We spent three days in Naga Lodge and it felt like heaven! The houses are beautiful and comfortable, the shared toilet and showers were very clean and above all the owner, his wife and the staff were super friendly, as well as the sweet dogs. While sitting in front of our cute house, we enjoyed the stunning views and we felt so relaxed. The park in the neighbourhood is a great day activity, only a few minutes walk from Naga Lodge. There are good mountainbikes to rent and you can play pool and petanque. Every morning lovely breakfast was served. For lunch and dinner Frederic and his staff prepared fantastic food. Both Asian and Western options were delicious and surprising. From freshly made pasta carbonara to buffalo cheek stew and roasted duck in red curry to noodle soup, we loved every single thing we ate so much and enjoyed the nice conversations with them. Highly recommend staying here when you are in Laos.

It was such an inspiration to stay in the middle of nature, with superb views, and having all the comfort you need, and more! The breakfast was exquisite, the owner so kind, cattering to the needs of the guests, I felt very welcomed. Also, the place has great eco design, that you see in every detail in the challet and surrounding landscape. Had an amazing stay, booked for 3 nights, then stayed one more to enjoy it fully. Highly recommend it.

ChinaProvide more blankets during night time, because it's very cold in the mountain. Cooperate with several honest taxi drivers who are happy to help guests to commute.
Mr.Fredreic was very helpful in solving our problems during the stay. We appreciate the beautiful place and the delicious food. If you want to find a quiet time just to relax, I would recommend his place!

RomaniaThe distance, but this you know before making the booking. A taxi costs aprox 12 Eur to Luang Prabang. The road is off-road. Going with a scooter there by night might seem a little bit adventurous and scary, but everything is safe. A hot shower would be great, water was almost warm.
It’s something unique. You are in the middle of the nature. A quite different pespective from the other stays in Luang. It has a 250m difference of altittude as well, so there are quite a few very nice views there.

ItalyBe carefull if you drive on your own, Google Maps send you the wrong way, on the way up, on the dirt road always keep the left
It's been a real pleasure for me to spend a couple of days at Naga Lodges. The wooden houses are located in a marvellous garden, 25 minuts drive from Luang Prabang. The place is peacefull and relaxing, at night and early morning it was a delight to be surrounded by the sounds of the forest and countryside. From the windows you can see and smell the lush vegetation, an amazing way to start the day. The accomodation are simple and well made, with high qualities details ( bathrobe, shampoo, some furnitures...). Every house has a private veranda, perfect for reading or just resting. The main building is where you can have your meals, it has a lovely laid back atmosphere. A special mention for the food. The couple running the lodges are real cooks. They propose Italian, French and Lao dishes made with local ingredients (some come directly from their garden). At first, reading the menu, you can think they're mixing dishes from Western and Asian cuisines just to match tourists tastes. It's not like that! The food is absolutely delicious, prepared with care and passion. I would recomend to try Noodle Soup and Curry! In conclusion, my experience is absolutely positive, it's the perfect place to relax, have good food and enjoy the nature. All the staff has been efficent and kind, I want to thank in particular Fred, he is a brilliant and experienced man, we had interesting conversations in the evenenings, so I could learn something about Laos culture and also have usefull practical advices for my trip. Great experience! I hope I'll be back in the future:)

We enjoyed walking to the Nahm Dong park from the accommodation and spending time in the peaceful surroundings. We ended up extending our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Oh my! I can't say enough about Naga Lodge. From the rooms and location to the hospitality and the food -- everything was just perfection. Go for the views and beautiful property and make sure you stay for dinner - the chef is incredible. Very easy to access by motorbike. We went in and out of the LPB during our stay there.

United StatesThe Google maps gave us 2 roads to reach the property. One road is blocked. Ones you are on country side road you need to take upper road.
It’s a surprisingly beautiful place with a very warm hospitality. The food was amazing. Unlimited brewed coffee, fresh croissants and a lot of other delicious options for the breakfast. We had our dinner there as everything was so good. I highly recommend to visit a Nahm Dong Park which is 5 minutes walking from the hotel. United KingdomThis place is stunning and provided a nice few days of peace and quiet for us. We rode mopeds to the property which took 30 minutes from Luang Prabang; the road isn’t great but it’s doable. They also offer transfers. The bungalows are beautifully made. We enjoyed sitting on our deck watching the view of the mountains, whilst surrounded by tropical plants. They serve a fantastic free breakfast.

United KingdomWhat a spot! I could not recommend staying here more. It is set in the beautiful hills just outside Luang Prabang and the lodge went above and beyond my expectations. Frederic, his wife and the other members of staff are so attentive but relaxed at the same time. The food is delicious and the hut itself was perfect. There is a great variety of food to choose from, both for breakfast and other meals (mix of Asian and Mediterranean). We had dinner here every night because it was so good. There also 4 lovely dogs. We rented a scooter which made it easy to get in and out of the town and also explore the surrounding area. Nahm Dong national park is 5 minutes (walking) down the road and was much less touristy than the other waterfalls we visited and has amazing swimming spots. If I could rate it 11 out of 10 I would!

ThailandWe enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it to 5 days. The location, the views from the wooden bungalow are extraordinary beautiful. By mountainbike and walking the valley, little villages and a waterfall park can be discovered easily. Our son especially liked to play snooker and French boule😁. The drive by car from Thailand to come here is absolutely worth it. Thanks to everyone and we will be back sometime!

LaosNot one thing… aside from the fact that our stay came to and end eventually!
Where to begin. AMAZING!!! We would have stayed forever if we could have. This was honestly everything we could ever ask for accomodation wise. To date, the most stunning property and accomodation I have had. The value for cost is insane. Every little detail was thought of, words cannot do this property justice. Our hosts, Frederic and Onh cared for us so well. And the food!!!!!! Michelin star worthy. Came for one night, stayed for 4. All I can say is… do yourself a favour. Book at least a week. Sit back, relax, order all your food here. There is no reason to leave in our opinion.
