Outstanding hostel. Regular dinners which make connecting with both other travellers and locals who sometimes stop in. Overall just very friendly and cozy vibes. Can book transport and tours as well.

The host is very hospitable, a good bunk bed, and the family dinner that happens on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is really a great chance to also get to meet and know new people. Super helpful receptionist as well. They also offer shared van services which take you to Kuangsi Waterfalls at an affordable rate as compared to taking Tuk-tuk. Breakfast is served which is a plus point!

No bike rentals, only scooter rentals. I don’t know how to ride a scooter so I was stuck walking everywhere. The hostel is about a 25 min walk to the night market and I dreaded walking to that area each time bc I would get so sweaty. No shampoo or shower gel in the shower. The shower head was directly facing the sink and mirror and if you tilted it even slightly it would be directly on the toilet. Basically everything would get wet, good thing my shower bag was waterproof Thin mattress The pros definitely outweigh the cons by the way. The cons are very minor things that didn’t affect the quality of my stay so that’s why it is still getting a 10 rating from me :)

This felt more like a homestay than a hostel. The family is extremely warm, welcoming, and always went above and beyond. I have a lot of Filipino friends and when I found out they were from the Philippines, their generosity and hospitality made sense. The breakfast was good and it was different every day. The family dinner was a great way to meet other solo travelers and the food was amazing!! I really wanted soda with my dinner so I asked the owner where the closest convenience store was so I can satisfy my cravings lol and instead of telling me, he went on his motorbike to get two huge bottle for the entire table 🥺. So sweet! I also booked the sunset cruise with the owner and as I was leaving for it, he offered to take me on his motorbike at no cost. I only used the bathroom inside which was great and always available when I needed it. There were two outdoor bathrooms but those had too many spider webs and were exposed to the elements so I never went to those lol. The dorms were spacious. The bunks are wooden and very simple but have privacy curtains. There is no luggage storage area but it wasn’t an issue since I always locked my luggages before leaving anyway.

    Nothing in particular

I really like spending a couple of days at La Casa Nostra. Complementary breakfast very good. Very helpful staff at the desk always willing to give advice for food, excursions and scooter rental. We also had a complementary dinner all together on Friday. shower has hot water, bed is quite small but comfortable. Ac works well. Location is quite close to the central area. definitely recommended.

The whole family is super kind, bright, helpful and caring. You can’t help but be in good mood from the moment you step into the kitchen in the morning. The guesthouse is very clean and neat, beds comfortable. Lockers are very convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also space to hang your clothes

DELIGHTFUL stay, this family run hostel has mastered the art of making you feel you're all just sharing a home. They are kind and go beyond what I think one can reasonably expect in a hostel. They're always around and looking after everyone, feeding everyone (delicious food too), helping with rentals, onward transfers, even posting things and advice!! Absolutely the sweetest kindest family stay you could ask for. The beds are cozy and spacious, the curtains offer privacy. I stayed in the dorms but a couple I hung out with stayed in a private room and it looked fantastic. I know Luang Prabang has many good hostels, but I genuinely think this was the best choice you can make and it attracts a genuine and wonderful social (but not rowdy) crowd. Salamat po for everything guys!

Bring ear plugs, an eye mask, a light for bathroom runs, a good attitude, and a desire to meet others and you will enjoy this hostel. If you need a lot of comfort for a good night sleep, an indoor bathroom, etc.- might not be the best fit for you.

Family run hostel with amazing vibes and community feel. The family is helpful in arranging tours and transportation, and works to create connection through shared breakfasts at a family table, and free family style dinners on certain days, which allow you to meet and befriend other travelers. In general the reason to stay here is for the people and the vibes, not the facilities. As the hostel states, their goal is to provide a friendly budget accommodation, not the newest/best hostel amenities. This hostel is older and thus has bunk beds (not bunks built into the wall). There are some curtains, but don't expect the full enclosure with shelf, etc. that many new hostels have. The dorm is a large mixed dorm (maybe 20? ppl), with the benefit of a lot of floor space for stuff. There is an area to hang clothes, a kitchen, a large table in the front courtyard, and the hostel offers reasonable laundry service. There are three shared bathrooms (toilet/shower), two of which are outside in the yard, and I never had an issue with finding an open one. Hostel was clean and the other guests were friendly and considerate of the shared space.

Nothing, we loved our stay we even extended our time here.

This place is amazing. I will start by saying that It offers a budget friendly experience so if you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not stay here. The host family are so friendly and accommodating, helping us plan our time in Luang Prabang, even helping us with motorbike lessons! They host free family dinners every Monday, Wednesday and Friday which is delicious and homemade. Breakfast is delicious also. The dorm room is very clean and comfortable, has curtains, plug sockets and air conditioning. There is one indoor toilet/shower and 2 outdoor showers. There is a kitchen to cook your own meals and a refrigerator. Also there is lockers to the left of the staircase to store valuables too (not sure why theres negative reviews saying there isn't because its blatantly obvious when you walk in). We loved our time at la casa nostra we cant wait to come back!

Staying at La Casa Noastra was an absolute pleasure! The family running it is incredibly warm, welcoming, and truly makes you feel at home. Their family dinners are a highlight—delicious traditional food and a great way to meet other travelers. The place itself is clean and comfortable, but what really stood out was how helpful they were when I had difficulties with my onward travel from Luang Prabang. They went above and beyond to assist me, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a friendly, homey atmosphere!

We really didn't like the breakfast on the first day but thankfully on the second day the breakfast was proper & nice.

It was convenient to rent the motorbike from the property and felt safe. The proprietor helped us to get a taxi to the train station for a reasonable price. The included dinner on the first night was delicious and a nice touch.
