Probably the two things I’d improve are: 1: the bed was a bit uncomfortable, you could feel the springs a bit. They could do with replacing but not massively uncomfortable. 2: AC would not be a bad idea. I heard others in a room without a window got quite hot overnight. There were a few broken door mechanisms etc as well in the shared toilets, so this could be fixed.

Not close to anything else, though this is more a problem of Astana. Though clean, the toilets were often lacking toilet paper. There is a bit of a jostle in the morning for a desk and chair because so many people remote work there. No hostel vibe and big signs forbidding alcohol consumption

All private bedrooms, nice big kitchen, plenty of toilets and showers. Very convenient for a longer stay, especially with a good supermarket around the corner. Close to the monuments and national museum.

Beautiful property! Staff was all very nice. The showers/bathrooms were clean and comfortable. I loved being able to use the kitchen and common areas.

Super clean and comfortable. Very good value for money. Although the staff seemed distant and not very talkative, they helped us several times to call a taxi and printed our flight tickets for free. I would totally recommend it!

Lack of breakfast was a pity.

Very clean, the cleaning ladies were taking care of the bathrooms and kitchen cleanliness every day. Convenient location close to the national museum. The staff was very helpful and even provided me with a heater when I asked.

The stuff was ok, but not so friendly. When you sleep in the room, you can hear everything what is outside of your room, sometimes you hear smn is talking in their room, and every signal in the common hall.

The location is good. You have pharmacy and “Small” supermarket close to the hostel, which is very convenient. The showers and toilets were clean, without bad smelling which is a pro. They gave a free towel.

The best value! Good location, close to markets some attractions and a bus line. The rooms are very small but the shared areas are very comfortable and always clean. The people working there are also very nice. For the price you can’t beat it! They also have free filtered water.

Room was quite warm with no way for cooling it down. A fan would be useful.

Very comfortable small space in a new hostel with great modern facilities. Having a small private area is so much better use of space than a similar sized area in a dorm. The showers are excellent as is the well-equipped kitchen. Close to supermarket and restaurants and short walking distance to the National Museum.

One security guard on a power trip decided for no particular reason I couldn’t eat at a certain table. The rest of the staff were nice but he lets them down. Fire him. The showers could do with a hook and I’m not sure about the glass doors in a mixed bathroom! The room was sometimes a bit hot to compensate for the temperatures outside. Perhaps a fan would be a good idea.

Small but cozy room. WiFi was excellent. Good location near the National Museum. Staff excellent with the exception of one guy (see below). Some nice cafes and restaurants within a five minute walk/slide on the ice. Very clean.

when I arrived at 4 AM it was almost daylight, and the curtains in the room did not work properly, they were half broken, and even after it was fixed, it didn't shut the complete glass window

The cost benefit was good, the facilities were clean, and other guests were extremely quiet. I needed to check in at 4 AM and there was not an issue. The address on Google maps is kind of weird, it makes you drive through some roadwork instead of the easy way.

Now for the very disappointing part. I requested an early check-in, and while I understood that rooms might not be available as early as 5:30 a.m., I wasn’t allowed to check in until past 1 p.m., despite several empty rooms being visible in the morning. I had to sleep in the café and lobby area like a homeless person. People there are not friendly or accommodating. The rooms are small and you can hear all the noise from outside. Despite the fact that there were empty rooms on the quieter side near the female restroom, they placed me in a room next to the laundry room and the male toilet. As a result, I was woken up early by noise from the laundry area. And some male guests kept their room doors open for ventilation. They could have placed me near female restroom and not with the men. I could understand this if there were no empty rooms on that other side but i checked and rooms were empty there.

The employees are very unhappy there, and I don't blame them. I used to work for a five-star hotel, and I would say this place seriously lacks motivation. Of course I don't expect five star service in a hostel but still this is a hospitality business so I'd say they really need motivation. The male receptionist was kind enough to offer me a tourist guide booklet and a map, and the female receptionist helped me book a taxi — both of which I appreciated. The cleaning team is doing a good job, as the place is very clean.
