I need to point out two price issues, that by themselves do not affect my positive review of the hotel, but I consider them as matters to improve since they could cause unnecessary distress as a foreign tourist. First, I initially made a booking for 2 nights, although I was going to check-in very early (by 6 am) after the first night. I received a message about prices if I checked-in early (the first night would be charged half the price). The messaging through Booking.com was not good, so prices were not clear at all. I amended my booking for 1 night expecting to pay half of that night as early check-in. When paying my whole stay I was charged both full nights even though I did not stayed for the first full night. I guess I payed more than I should have, but the quality of the hotel and the whole experience is worth the value somehow. I consider that further communication skills in english are required to avoid such issues. Second, when using room service, the prices shown on the room ARE NOT the ones that are charged. They charge you more after 5.00 pm due to a change in the kitchen service. This is not stated anywhere, I pointed this out to the Manager who told me that they could not do anything. The price difference between what I expected according to the room information and what I was charged was 2 EUR, so it's not big deal. But this should be stated.

The quality of the hotel is superb. Rooms are very big and very cozy, particularly since it was well warmed for the season (end of november). The food quality is really good. The location is perfect, at walking distance from the beach area, the major avenues and main attractions in Aktau. Next to the hotel is a shopping centre with a supermarket where you can get local products. Staff is very helpful despite some difficulties in communicating in english. The experience at the hotel is added to a very positive journey in Aktau.

Reception staff's English was poor.

My room was facing a terrace under construction, so there were some workers occasionally and the window did not open. There was also a shower for disabled that was not designed to keep the water so it was all over the bathroom floor.

Location is amazing, 15 min walk from the sea, a lot of shops near by. Rooms are spacious and clean. Check in and check out is 24/7.

The receptionists understanding of English did not meet the high standards set elsewhere.

This was one of the most comfortable hotels I have ever stayed in - the bed, the pillows, the decor, the lighting, the air conditioning. I travel all over the world and stay in a lot of hotels - at the price it offered superb value.

Cozy clean rooms, comfortable shower, good location - 10 to 15 minutes walk to Aktau Rock Trail, one of the major tourist attractions of the city on the shore of Caspian Sea. Highly recommended.

The staff is very pleasant and responsive. Tanzilya at the reception told us thouroughly about all the details of the stay. We were provided with additional water in our room free of charge, and also they took our things for storage while we went to Bozjyra. I really liked the hotel and staff and consider it for next visits to Aktau.
