How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing, everything was great.
New, very clean and comfortable facilities. Food at the restaurant was perfect, same as staff very welcoming, polite, and positive. The location is good too, new shopping mall is nearby.

The only thing I did not like and which unfortunately keeps me from giving 10/10 was the unexpected behavior of the staff. Do not get me wrong, since from the very beginning they were very nice and polite, but because I was arriving on a very late flight I checked in at 4 AM and I asked for a possibility of late check-out already before arriving. Understandably they told me that I should ask again for availability at the time of check-in and I did so. At that time the receptionist told me that there was availability and that I could stay until 2 PM for free an also later for a fee. I was more than happy with the complimentary 2 hours, so I chose that and went to the room for a nice sleep. At 12:15 PM the next morning a staff member repeatedly knocked the door and when I got up and opened she told me through Google translator to leave the room. I replied that I was told to keep it until 2 PM at check-in and she then wrote me that "the situation has changed and now they have a reservation". I had to pack my stuff and leave. I very well understand, that the business is meant to serve the paying customers, but at the same time I think that if there is an agreement with the customer to keep the room until a specific time, then it should not be abruptly changed with a 15 minutes notice. Their official check-in time is 3 PM, so they would have had one full hour to make my room anyways, even if I could have stayed until 2 PM as agreed. It was a little bit sad end to a great start.
Clean and modern hotel. Extremely good value for the money. Big room with ample bathroom.

Very modern and nice hotel. We could store our luggage after check out for free. Perfect central location near local caffees and craft beer bar. Good contact with reception before arrival. Good quality for money

A lot of people come to Aktau for tours in Mangishlak I would suggest to find an opportunity to offer breakfast from 7 a.m. First impression when you get into the room that it’s too stuffy in it. We opened windows and it helped. There is AC in the room.
It’s a small hotel in the old city center. 10 minutes walk from the sea. The hotel is new, the rooms is great for short stay. Great choice of TV Channels. A supermarket is 100 m away, a small cafe right inside the hotel building. Great value for money.

It would be great to ensure good wifi connection inside the rooms.
Super clean, very decent and has what takes to make you feel comfortable. The reception staff very courteous and helpful. It’s just 100 meters away from a huge supermarket. Very good location, 30 min to Aktau airport.

It can be a bit noisy on weekends as all the visitors go down a single corridor from the lift unlike most other hotels.
Good location, decent price, arranged transfers from the airport and to the railway station. Friendly staff.

Brandnew place right in the middle of the area where I wanted to be. Nice coffeeplace downstairs. Ironing board was brought within minutes when requested. Family room was excellent for 2 parents + 2 kids.
