How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I can’t think of anything.

Verified reviewFrom start to finish, a luxurious experience with high service. I was most impressed with the hand massages and drinks offered upon check-in. The fruit bowl waiting in our room was spectacular. From then on, we felt like members of the Palm Heights family. The beach was perfect. The pools were gorgeous and empty our entire stay. The gym and spa were next level. We tried all of the hotel restaurants and each was better than the next. I loved the sound healing and yin yoga class. The hammam treatment was truly special. Even the hotel shop was cool! What more could we ask for?
The pour-over coffee in the room was a bit weak. A Nespresso machine might be a better option. I also would have liked a few more fitness class options on the hotel side of the property.

Verified reviewI love the location & the boutique feel, thoughtful gifts left in the bedroom. I love that staff top up your water for you on the beach & are very attentive.
There isn’t a big enough dining space just for residents, everything is quite open to non residents as well and is crowded at times without any exclusivity for guests. The section on the beach is quite small & crowded for sun beds, this is the same for coconut club for breakfast. The juices aren’t right, they’re thin & not freshly squeezed. Would prefer something not concentrated, better quality.

Verified reviewThe staff made an exceptional job in taking care of every little detail of our stay. The beach is beautiful, with food and drinks served at all hours of the day. Water sports available and complimentary, an INCREDIBLE spa with a gym that is also available to the guests even if no treatments were booked. The restaurants are amazing (if you go to Tillies, you MUST order the mushrooms!), and many pools to choose from. This place is now on our must return list. We were there for 5 nights, and did not feel the need to leave the hotel at any time.
You are treated like royalty, so be prepared to pay like it too. But aside from that, everything was excellent.

Verified reviewThis was our 3rd year in a row. We love Palm Heights! The friendliness of the staff (especially the beach servers & staff) make our trip so special.
I noticed a lot more families with young children this year. I think it would be a great idea to maybe have some “adult only” weeks a few times a year?? … That way guests who are looking for some time away from small children might enjoy some quiet time. I think it might be a big hit with some of your longer-standing guests, who remember when Palm Heights was more adult focused. Just an idea. :)

Verified reviewprobably one of the most impressive offerings in the Caribbean. It makes the ritz look so outdated and lame.
I wish the spa treatments were a little more affordable, but overall its stunning.

Verified reviewThis is a luxury hotel situated on the most famous and most beautiful stripe of beach on the island, 7 mile beach. The property is beautiful, not very big but the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. There are a bar and a restaurant directly on the beach. The staff is sensational, they really make a difference. There are a lot of them and always check your water, your towels, your drinks. We were outside of main season so the beach was not crowded at all, neither were the restaurant and bar. The beach is extremely clean and the water incredibly blue. Very, very, very hot.
Being on 7 mile beach means you do not get a lot of space to yourself. The stretch of beach allocated to our hotel was quite small. I was (perhaps unfairly) comparing this to South East Asia resorts where you have plenty of beach just for yourself. Here everything happens in a very small space. This is the only minus of the hotel and it is not really their fault...
