Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe only one little minus is no lift. However, even this is solvable as stuff is happy to help you with this issue. So this absolutely doesn’t affect the experience.
I was lucky to pick this hotel. The stuff on the reception was so nice, she always helped me with questions I had. Super nice and kind which made me feel so welcomed. It is a small hotel yet it feels very cozy. You can rest on the ground floor where you can have a coffee or water, charge your phone while really nice relaxing music is playing. The room I was staying was super nice, clean, you had everything you needed. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to use projector but I think it’s really nice addition. The location is obviously amazing. I could not pick a better place to stay. Would recommend to everyone!

AustraliaIt was very very small. There was no room for a carry on luggage.
Everything! It has all the amenities found in a 5 typical star hotel; a safety torch, communal umbrellas, toothbrushes and hairbrushes as well as skincare! Some hotels don’t even have fridges or provide boxed tissues anymore yet this hotel does. It was very clean. Great location, didn’t even need maps to help me find it when I got out of the station. I love the decor; very on theme with the cutesy Korean cafe style.

Switzerlandeverything was perfect as we expected small rooms.
The location, rooms that were modern and renovated, the free coffee machine, the beamer and the sound system in the room, the view on the Seoul Tower (from room 302 and 303) Truly the best hotel to stay in Seoul.

United StatesNo elevator access to upper floors. This was on the listing but surprisingly difficult with luggage in the narrow stairs. Shower wands are mounted very low. I am 5'6" and could not really use it easily.
Late arrival was facilitated by a QR code to check in and get through the door. Easy communication with staff during off hours through Whatsapp. Quiet and faced Seoul tower for a view. The green space outside formed a sound buffer. Very comfortable beds.

United KingdomThere isn’t a lift/elevator here and we were on the top floor (5). It was quite difficult with 2 big suitcases!
The room was a good size considering its location. Easy quick check in and check out services. The staff were on call if needed.

FranceNo elevator.
Very close to Myeongdong Station. Clean room and friendly staff ! The laundry room is separated into two rooms : one on the laundry side and one on the drying side, with a single machine for all the bedrooms. Very easy to use and around 5000 won. The video projector in the room was amazing.

United StatesLack of elevator was the only inconvenience; not bad except for having to carry suitcases up 4 flights of stairs!
Newly renovated and modern; impeccably clean; kind and helpful staff; quiet; convenient location; coffee/tea available all day/night plus an electric kettle in room; refrigerator; umbrellas in lobby for guest use; felt very safe and secure; offered luggage storage after check-out. We splurged on the more spacious room and were glad we did. Space was small by USA standards but efficiently designed to accommodate larger bags.

SingaporeMy room was at level 5. Have to climb but this was already mentioned previously. Fortunately, staff was nice to help to carry my luggage up and down for check in and out. So not much of an issue.
I liked the hospitality of staff and location. There is airport bus just across the street and near to the exit with lift and escalator. The room is cozy and has many amenities that one needs.

JapanPerfect location, just a few minutes away from Exit 1 of the station that has escalator and elevator so I recommend it to those travelling with kids or elderly. It is also on the quieter side of Myeongdong, but also just a few minutes walk away from the shopping district. The staff were super nice and responsive to any queries. Will definitely stay again when we travel back to Seoul.
