But I check the next day and saw that I had fee breakfast. So I was made to pay for free breakfast When I didn’t, have to pay for it. It is also the first hotel I so to and I didn’t.t get free water

Trinidad and TobagoI had a good overall experience at the resort save for an odd occurrence that happened at check-in. I noticed that the receptionist did not give me a total, nor receipt, nor present the booking info in the tablet they had me use at the front desk to check in. Without presenting that information, my automatic assumption is that the cost at which i booked the stay was the final cost. Right ? Wrong ! After charging my card for the stay, there was an additional charge (my card was charged twice). The second was for incidentals. Incidentals, holding fees, downpayments, etc. are normal. However, this was not disclosed beforehand when booking nor at check-in, and neither was my consent asked for nor given for that second charge. AFTER check-in, while i sat at the table waiting for a welcome drink and to be taken up to the room, only then did the receptionist come up to me and told me i might notice a second charge on the card but not to worry as its just a hold incase of Incidentals. Again, that's fine, but transparency is key, and, to me, that was a mismanagement of my confidential information, which made me lose trust. Apart from that, the room was clean, the view from the room was wonderful, breakfast was included with limited selection but it did the trick and the pool is gorgeous but freezing even during the day. The view of the ocean and the sound of waves crashing is soothing coupled with luscious greenery around the building. All in all, the facilities made up for that initial incident, but i probably would not return nor recommend it as i cannot honestly stay at a place nor recommend a place that, in my view, does not know how to handle customer information.

The hotel is on the Atlantic Ocean - amazing views- but the water is rougher and not gentle for swimming. Can’t walk to any restaurants - must take taxi or have car rental

FranceI think that shower gel and shampoo dispensers should perhaps be installed instead of the small bottles in the bathroom, as this would be more practical and would provide more capacity. To avoid confusion (and disappointment), perhaps it should be possible to book (and therefore guarantee) a room with a view of the Golf course directly - which is not guaranteed at present, depending on occupancy and availability. Also perhaps improve the quality and variety of the continental breakfast and extend the opening hours of the restaurant (until 10 p.m. for example, instead of 9 p.m.).
The hotel is set back a little from Frigate Bay (at Half Moon Bay), in a quiet location facing the Atlantic Ocean, but is still within reasonable distance of Frigate Bay (20 minutes on foot along the golf course and around 5 minutes by car). Because of the location, you need to be aware of this when booking, but it's not hidden. I had booked a room with a balcony, and asked for one with a view of the golf course and the Atlantic - which I was able to get. The room was clean, quiet and had all the basic amenities I needed. The staff at reception are very friendly and helpful with any requests you may have (booking a taxi, organizing a tour, etc.). The same goes for the restaurant staff, who are very kind and professional, making the meal all the more pleasant. The dishes (of American and Caribbean inspiration) are good.

United StatesThe fact that they add the tip on the bill and they don't tell the customers. If you don't pay attention you can pay double tip close to 40%. I think this is unacceptable. Breakfast is very limited, very few items. The omelets were not fresh. Sometimes they conserve breakfast items from one day to the other and you can tell by the taste

United KingdomOnly one restaurant available which was a bit expensive. But with the special offers over the weekend like Indian night and lobster night, it was worth it. Limited supply of coffees and teas in the rooms, which weren't replenished daily. And room service took very long to deliver food ordered with some mistakes in the order. Could be better with fly control at the daily buffet.
Lovely hotel, ideally located next to the main town and airport. Staff was very kind and helpful. Will recommend staying.
