How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNot much. Good location near port zante
From the beginning, there’s no sign at the entrance door so I had to ask several people before I worked out how to get in the stairs up to the accommodation are steep and it’s difficult with luggage. There’s a second door which can be very difficult to open when it’s locked. It needs two hands so again difficult with luggage. The air conditioning control didn’t work so was on high the whole time and it was too cold. I found the person in charge rude. I asked whether it was noisy as I was concerned about the fast food place next door and was told that the festival wasn’t close by. It wasn’t but the noise level was far too loud for me even before the festival started when there was a nearby stage with loud music from 7am to 2am. I just couldn’t wait to leave

Verified reviewThe location is perfect if you're visiting for the music festival or any events close to Basterre. A lot of restaurants, bars and stores in close walking distance.
The security locks on the door are a little troublesome to open with the key card which can be a bit frustrating if you're in a rush to get in. Other than that no other complaints.

Verified reviewIt was a good stay once again. I recognize the differenced in the room I stayed in this trip in comparison to the room I stayed in in the past. I will definitely stay again because of the central location. Walking distance from the port, food court, town area etc etc

Verified reviewThe location was perfect for me. I was able to get to doing activities on the islands and the location provided me the opportunity to do activities as quickly as possible.
Possibly have some basics available like toothbrush, comb, and/or soap.

Verified reviewThat it’s in the heart of Basseterre that makes it easier to get around in town.
The loud talking at quality hours in the morning, loud talking, laughing and movements 🤦🏽♀️

Verified reviewThe location in the city center was excellent. TV opposite the bed is always a good idea to be able to watch it at ease while lying down.
Surprisingly, the noise caused by 2 air fresheners in the bedroom, #113. They were both located high in the room & were 20 cm tall cylinders that sprayed something VERY frequently (about every 20 mins., 24 hours a day) & had a bizarre sound, almost like gravel being shaken in a small plastic tub. There was a 3rd air freshener in the bathroom but it was silent. No smell of any type came from them. Why so many air fresheners & don't they usually make a very quiet "pssssttt" sound?!

Verified reviewI was really disappointed that I had been moved to other hotel due to overbooking. The receptionist said alternative hotel is half mile away from Port Zante where the original property is located, but actually 2 mile away. The reason why I booked E.W.B. Properties is location near Port Zante, so I was really disappointed.

Verified reviewThe location is super because it's close to the ferry to Nevis, the main square and other places.
The location is terrible because there is annoying and horrible music from neighbouring stores all the day when the stores are open. Moreover, I was waked up in the night at about 2 AM by some stupid horrible music which lasted for another hour or so. For this reason I decided to move to another place.

Verified reviewThe location is pretty good, got a supermarket, ATM, mall, KFC too....all pretty close by.
The WiFi kept tripping but apparently it's from Flow (the service provider), rather than the establishment. The manager did do all he could to get it up and running

Verified reviewThe host was great, walls very thin, I could clearly hear all activities on the street and the nearby rooms. For a business trip, it was a great location, a minute walk from the bus station and the ferry to Nevis dock
I didn't like like that the fee for Booking.com was not included in the price advertised on the page.

Verified reviewIt was my first stay on st.kitts and this place was available at the time. The location is ideal. You're literally in the town and can walk about and taxis and public transportation are closeby.
I didn't like the fact that it's a very small TV in the room. The curtains are not black out curtains. There is lots of sunlight if you just want to relax and sleep.
