Everything.... It was an awesome stay. The owner lady is super calm and friendly. The music put me into a blissful mood on the river. Not party hard crowd. I loved jumping in off the ramp. The food is good and not expensive. Would definitely stay again.

The location directly at the riverside is so amazing. You can just hop in the river or sit there watching the sun go down. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I stayed in a bungalow which was pretty basic but featured everything I needed (hot water shower included).

No one likes being woken by road, boat or other morning noise (and it can be a cacophony) but after reading previous reviews, I came prepared with earplugs. Sorted! The ONLY thing I would change and I feel would be a quick fix, is to more firmly screw in or replace entirely, the lock to Bungalow 1. I did appreciate the good on-site security, gate, cameras etc but in trying to take accountability for our own valuables by locking the door every time we left the bungalow, it felt like a waste of time as we had to physically retighten the screws holding the lock in place. Anyone wanting to enter could just rip it off the frame.

We chose to stay at The Hideaway for its setting, right on the river and also based on all the reviews of its awesome bar and social vibe, without being an actual backpackers. The two things were spot on for us! At all times of day, the bar/restaurant is the heart of the place, overlooking the river, with many seating areas and options, plus a floating bamboo terrace with cushions and parasols. Sunset here is a real show! The food menu was a good mix of western and Khmer food and extensive all-day breakfast options such as burritos and bagels. All delicious and great portions. Special mention for the jalapeño balls! Cheap kayak and moto rental that was easy to access/organise got us out and about with ease. Unlike other guesthouses we've stayed, the moto rental was through an actual rental company (Red Bull Tours) rather than the property's own. This meant there was actually paperwork filled out (they also kept one of our passports locked in a safe until we returned) and also that the moto itself was in relatively good condition! Last but not least, the owners and staff (and their cute, cuddly cats and dogs) create a warm, welcoming vibe. Everyone definitely likes a party but while still providing fantastic, professional service.

The huts are right beside a busy road so you can hear the traffic. Earplugs would be good. It is a hut after all, so expect ants in the room even though hideaway has a strict rule to not eat in the room. There was not a mosquito net in the room, although we did not get a bit at night.

It is a great place to see the beautiful sunset and socialize. It's right beside the river for swimming, jumping off the platform. There's a full restaurant there and the food was delicious. Lots of lovely dogs and cats to interact with if you're into animals.

It was hot. The ceiling fan wasn't placed in the most optimal area in the bungalow, so it didn't reach the whole entire bed.

Amazing location right on the riverbank, wonderful and friendly and helpful staff, Karl and Ralf are so cute and they really care about the customer. Super relaxed environment, wifi is strong if you need to work! You can rent scooter and kayak, book your tours and transports, anything really they'll help you out!

If you are very sensitive to noise you can hear the road at night but I wouldn't let that put you off, or just take some ear plugs. The place totally makes up for it.

This place was such a good find, we really enjoyed our stay. Had a fun night in the bar, everyone is super friendly. Enjoy hanging out by the river and swimming during the day, the food is excellent.. Highly recommend. If you don't stay there at least go and visit the place just before sunset for a drink and a swim. The diving board was super fun too.

We loved our stay at The Hideaway, it’s such a sociable and friendly vibe. The owners, Tom and Ashley are welcoming, it’s clear they’ve put their heart and soul into this accommodation and that really shines through! Rob is a legend, he’s really welcoming, friendly and funny! We stayed in the dorms which were comfortable and had air con and fan. The chill out areas by the river were fantastic. The food was brilliant, really fresh and tasty. Would highly recommend The Hideaway and hope to be back in the future!

The place is so nice! You can relax on the river, have really wonderful food or just sit and enjoy. The staff is very nice and will really take care of you. The rooms are simple but clean. A really good place to stay. And order their Amok...one of the best I've tryed in a month of trip in Cambodia!

the location, the vibe, the food, the hosts it felt like a home away from home and i’m definitely coming back. If I hadn’t booked my onward journey, I would have stayed a lot longer than 5 days. the vibe of the place is top notch!! the hosts tom and ash were the most helpful hosts i’ve come across - they went out of their way to help me out with everything I needed, incl. a last minute luggage issue where my bag had broken and they took me themselves to the market. The food is also absolutely amazing! Try the amok curry The sunsets here are beautifullll! You can rent a kayak and just go around All in all, this place was an absolute highlight of my Cambodia trip! A true gem of a hideaway

Loved every second of my stay at the the Hideway from the second I walked through the breezey entrance to see the most stunning view across one of the widest points of the river… Tom the host and his wife Ash are amongst the coolest people I’ve ever met without even trying! The food , the people , the view and the vibe were beyond perfect, l’ll be returning for a longer stay next time … beyond 10 out of 10 !!
