How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Unfortunately the TV didn’t work, it says it in small print I was told once finding out when I got to the hotel at the front desk. Not being able to change our set meal wasn’t best placed as I don’t drink cows milk. The location could be closer to the town
I liked The staff Ms leak & Lyma were fantastic, I didn’t get the name of the morning shift staff but everyone went above and beyond. The breakfast was a good standard The room was superb

I had a great time staying here. Friendly staff, very good service, great room with a nice bathroom, enjoyable pool and the tuk tuk service right at the door of the hotel was also great! Thank you for making our stay even better!

The hotel is new, staff is not just friendly, but trying to satisfy your every wish even before you ask. The design is stunning, wonderful pool helps to relax after temples. My room was big, very clean and very beautiful. I will stay there again.

Very nice hotel and the most comfortable in Siem Reap Cambodia which I stayed. Friendly and Lovely Staffs, I really love the Swimming Pool. Very nice room, excellent service.

Nice service and nice facilities! I like the swimming pool so much! It’s beautiful ! Also, it is close to center, it just 5mins by tuktuk. Hotel provide free tuk tuk service from hotel to the bus station, it’s very convenient for guests. I will stay here agian next time.

Everything about this place is amazing! The breakfast is yummy. All the staff are so kind! The pool was good. There is nothing bad to say about this hotel. It is one of the best hotels i have ever stayed. If you thinking of booking just do it! You will not regret it!!

I spent one night at this hotel. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and great. They have free bus station transportation. Additionally, you will enjoy the daily cocktail with reasonable price. Recommended 100%.

There are a couple of areas that could use improvement. The night receptionist didn’t quite meet the standard set by the rest of the team. Additionally, I noticed some minor issues with the ceiling in my bathroom that should be addressed to maintain the high standard the hotel is aiming for.
The renovation work has clearly been done with care, giving the property a clean and updated feel. The staff during the day were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and eager to help.

We had such a great time and we fell in love with the place and the staff which were amazing. We also had an amazing massage at the spa which for us was the best in Cambodia! Loved stay at The Calm Oasis!

Rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Slightly different style to many other hotels, but bathrooms are large with good amenities. and the room comfortable, beds comfortable. Staff are incredibly helpful.

Everything was excellent. The hotel and garden is very beautiful, the room was spacious with modern design and a very comfortable bed. The service was very very good. They booked a guided one day tour for us to the Angkor temples and the guide was very excellent.

Loved our 1 day here. Friendly hospitality, new modern and clean, and excellent pool. Air con performed well during our heatwave! Hotel tuk tuk of an evening into town, from the quiet hotel location. Would recommend.
