For what you pay (we stayed in the glamping part), it’s pretty good, although the shared bathrooms could do with some cleaning. Also, reaching the rooms is a very steep climb that can be tough if you’re carrying luggage or you’re walking in the scorching heat. The majority of the staff (everyone but the owner, who was not there during our stay) does not speak English, so it can be a bit tricky to communicate. For the rest, if you’re looking for a perfectly fine cheap stay in Koh Rong, this will do! Ps the balcony and hammock each room comes with is super nice!!

The cheapest room was not that nice. Door didn’t close and there were only sheets for walls. Bathrooms were okay. No lighting in the dark for the sinks.

Nice and close to the beach. Cheap and good value for what we got.

The mattress was pretty old with synthetic sheets that do not stay on so nicer bed sheets would be good. That being said I did not expect more and I only mention this to suggest options if the host wants customer suggestions.

Exactly what I expected! The host was very friendly and helpful and the location is great. My hut was comfortable and a good value. They also let me check in early which was great.

Lack of hand soap in the toilet and bathroom! Hygiene is important for everyone.

The hostel owner is a very friendly person who speaks English. When I asked for help with some things, he helped me. Thank you for that.

The service in the connected restaurant. The prices, like 4000 khr for water, 25000 khr for motorcycle gasoline.

I stayed in one of the huts, because i like sleeping outside. It´s a bit like camping. Yes, there were some ants, but what do you expect when camping? Toilet and bathroom were very basic but OK. The food in the connected restaurant was also good, the service however was very slow. Prices on the island are quite higher than on the main land.

The accommodation was a very steep hill. The electricity and internet was patchy but that was the same all over the island.

The little huts/tents/bungalows were so nice. Very rustic with a lovely hammock outside. The fan by the bed worked well. The bathrooms were clean. Every night staff lit a mosquito coil outside every room.

Obviously in the jungle there will be mossies so be prepared for that. Great value for money but don’t expect luxury!

Great location just a short walk from the beachfront. The man on reception (from the UK) is incredibly chilled out and great for recommendations/ a chat. Very good value for money as well.

    Nice spot on Koh Rong

The fan in my room barely worked so it got pretty hot in the bungalow during the day and at night I had to leave the window open for extra air circulation which didn’t help much. The property had no drinking water available, so I had to walk into town to get some which was a real bummer. There was also no soap available at the bathroom sinks so I had to supply my own.

Very comfy bed, hammock, great staff/friendly owner, close location to town, bug net was very effective, good price, locks on the bungalows for security, lights at night so you don’t really need a headlamp (it’s set back in the jungle).

Unfortunately, mosquitos were able to enter the hut through the gaps in the walls and floor boards. The mosquito net didn't help much, so we had to cover our bodies fully during the night to prevent getting bites. The hut was very hot at night, so this led to poor sleep.

The hut looked very nice and it was clean. The staff were very friendly. The bathrooms were kept clean during our stay. We especially enjoyed lying out on the hammock on the balcony of our hut. The location was good. Very close to the pier and restaurants but not close enough to be disturbed during the night. A safe and a fan were provided. The wifi worked well.

If you’re a light sleeper the straw bungalows are not ideal as they are literally made of straw. It has its charm though.

Kanya and her family are wonderful people and their guesthouse is a peace haven on the hill above the village. The view is beautiful, and they make delicious food.

Very long way uphill, entrance hard to find. We felt quite hot in the cabins. The ladders were hard to climb, especially to go to the bathroom at night. Water refill was finished while we were there. The place seemed to be way too expensive for the provided quality.

One of the only affordable accommodations left during our stay. Friendly staff.

No lock for the tent (not a major issue as it felt very safe), mosquito nets had holes in and being in a forest meant very likely to get bitten badly. Power also went down for multiple hours at a time

Nice unique little property run by an extremely friendly local family. Tent was more of a treehouse with a mattress inside with working fan and plug. Hammock on the outside was heavenly.

There wasn't a safety deposit box although the booking said so. They did find me a box to lock my things in but this wasn't attached to the wall. The staff were understanding and helped but the huts would be way better if they had a lockable box drilled into the wall/hut to keep belongings safe.

Really good value, nice quiet place in the main town. Huts are basic but clean and good value.
