Great food. The best food and make sure to try the red snapper. Nice bungalow. Everything is very clean. Yoga option is great.

During rainy season it was quite hard to trek through the jungle to get there.

The Sunset beach is simply a small piece of paradise where to enjoy real wild island life. The services and specially the food is amazing for where the SunBoo bungalows are located! Just incredible!

We were just unlucky with the weather but we have been there in the rainy season and this is what you can expect! Only make sure to be ready for a long walk in mud if you go when the boat service is not available, it is indeed a great experience to do, but can be challenging!

The Sunboo beach bungalows are remote in the best possible way. They sit tucked into the edge of a jungle, looking out onto a beautiful, quiet white sandy beach. It is relaxing, deeply relaxing. The staff and people have gone the extra yard to seek out somewhere different, off the beaten track and it's worth it. The food is fresh and delicious with a great selection. We suggest the whole, baked red snapper to share. In our time there, we tried most things on the menu and were always impressed with the beautiful presentation, the care, time and effort put into the dishes. We felt very taken care of. Regarding the staff, they are warm and welcoming and accommodating. They really seem to enjoy sharing their space with you and nothing is too much trouble. Really, I can't say enough about how lovely they are. It is a little community who look after each other. Eddy next door runs Sunset Adventures and he has a coffee machine and is willing to share his WiFi with guests. We spent a week and loved it. Highly recommended. It is more than a holiday, more of a travel experience.

    We have no complaints

The beach is so pretty, the staff is really kind and helpfull. The food is amazing. The dorms are comfortable. Brung musquito repellent and wear some good shoes for the path down. Would highly recommend. The dogs and cats are so nice as well. There is books you can read and games you can play.

I was there in low season, so there weren’t a lot of other travellers (especially few solo travelers). Also because of low season some of the other restaurants were closed, so I only ate at Sunboo (which was amazing). I saw some other accomodations clean the beaches a little more regularly than Sunboo, so the beach was sometimes a bit filthy.

SunBoo Beach Bungalows is a peaceful, relaxing place with incredibly kind staff. It felt like being welcomed into their home. Just note that access is via a narrow path, so it’s good to know in advance.

Amazing location and facilities. Building made of bamboos are so interesting and match with the beach. During my stay I could fee the nature and hear the sounds of waves, animals, insects, rains. They are what I have expected. Foods and drinks are nice and reasonable. I have relaxed so much.

I do not have any complains. On the other hand, I have some advice for visitors in order to stay more confortable. 1. Internet As here is island, sometime you may not have internet connection. It is better for you to prepare for it. 2. Ear Plugs In the room, you can here the sounds of nature. On the other hand, the sounds may be big for you to sleep well. So that, let you bring ear plugs and you will enjoy the stay.

Nadia, malla (the dog) and the team are absolutely wonderful! It’s such a beautiful place and the food is honestly incredible, we did not have a single mediocre meal and we spent 7 days there. A very beautiful little piece of wonderfulness, made even more perfect by the lovely staff and cats and dogs

Beautiful scenery, incredibly designed bungalows, accommodating and welcoming staff

A bit difficult to get there and back to the main port as the rainy season kicks in, but worth it once you are there!

excellent welcome proceedings, friendly staff, delicious food, secluded beach, easily accessible from the bungalows none of the annoying features of other beach resorts : vendors, "compulsory" participation in activities, noisy beach parties,..

the absence of WIFI was both a blessing and an inconvenience

If I could give this place more than 10 out of 10, I absolutely would. Out of our whole trip through Cambodia, this was hands down the most special stay. There are two ways to get there, and we tried both: one is a little hike over the hill from Eden Pier – free, but prepare to sweat if you go in the midday heat (it took us about 30 minutes). The other is by taxi boat from M’Pai Pier, which costs around $25–$30 depending on the time (we paid $30 for an early 5am ride). As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Nada and Kari with the warmest, most genuine smiles. Right away, we knew we’d found the right place. A sweet surprise – Nada turned out to be half Slovak, so we switched to my native language and I felt like at home. They welcomed us with a delicious, ice-cold lemonade that felt like heaven after the hike. :) What I absolutely loved was the community vibe. There are a few places along this beach, and instead of competing, they genuinely support each other. We could order breakfast here and take it to the coffee shop next door, or get recommendations for where to eat depending on what kind of food we wanted (Khmer cuisine, Spanish dishes, BBQ – everything was amazing). It felt like a group of friends all working together, and that kind of energy is so rare to find nowdays. The accommodation was exactly as shown in the pictures—super cute, cozy, and clean. The beach had this relaxed, hippie vibe with hammocks. The cocktails were incredible (my husband couldn’t stop talking about the Sunboo Passion), and the food… wow. We had the red snapper with green mango salad. And if you love yoga, don’t miss Kari’s class. It’s not just about movement, she really takes time to explain the meaning behind everything, with a lot of focus on meditation and relaxation. With her calming voice, the sea view, and the wind on your face, it was a really special experience for me. Thank you again, especially for the second session and our lovely chat after—it stays with me.

Nothing to complain about—we’re definitely coming back if the staff stays the same! Please keep them all forever. :D

This eco resort wis located in literal heaven. I had never stayed in an eco-hotel and was nervous about the lack of AC in the dorms, but was pleasantly surprised that the island cooled down at night and I was able to sleep comfortably.

Some guests might need WiFi, there is a cafe next door that provides WiFi. Remember to bring cash for the cafe.

The location is beautiful, Sunset Beach is a great beach, crystal clear warm water, not busy with fabulous sunsets. There are some nice places to eat, including Sunboo who does good pizza and breakfasts. Staff are friendly, water is free and always chilled. Beachside hammocks are perfect. Free yoga session is great. Sunboo has a lovely chilled vibe.

Beach front rooms are set well back from beach. The room has a fan but is extremely hot. Facilities are very basic which is fine but the cost of accommodation is high for example there are no beach towels, no waste bin in the room, limited shelving, no WiFi . Sunboo is charming but you are paying premium for its isolated location not its facilities. We really enjoyed it but felt the cost wasn't great value.

Marvellous experience on idyllic beach. So worth the effort of getting there! Our stay was delightful despite thunderstorms with perfect swimming and relaxation. Food was delicious (spicy clam soup knockout) and generous. Most of all we enjoyed the warmth and special vibes of the place from all staff led by corrie and paolo. So special, we didn’t want to leave.
