How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe really enjoyed our stay at Robinson. It really is a quiet escape from the modern world into nature. With comfortable loungers to spend the day by the sea. Staff were super friendly and attentive.
The window locations don't provide sufficient airflow into the bedroom, and the small USB fan is inadequate with nowhere to be placed to allow two people to get much cooling from it.

Verified reviewWe are a family of four and had a hut with two double beds. Amazing location on Sunset beach with two hammocks and two chairs on the porch to relax away from the sun. The food in the restaurant is really good (try the fried rice with shrimp) and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
This is a very basic hut - as expected from the description. It is very warm during the night and the battery of the small fans could not last throughout the night. It is not possible to charge phones or anything else in the room, but you can do this in the restaurant.

Verified reviewI liked everything! The beach is wow amazing, so beautiful. The staff and the food were exceptional. I like that it is rustic and remote with no electricity or wifi in the rooms, it forced me to really unplug and relax. The walk to get there is achievable for anyone with average fitness, just keep your bag light and wear good shoes. Other guests are all young/middle age, no party people and no young children while I was there. It’s mostly couples but I was solo traveller and had a lovely time anyway. This is definitely the best beach on the island!
I was missing some tea or coffee in the early morning. No kettle (or electricity) in the rooms, and breakfast doesn’t start until 8.

Verified reviewPerfect place if you want to stay in a remote beach away from everything. Super kind staff and simple but comfy bungalow.
If you are afraid of insect or wild animals stay away, but if you want a jungle experience that's the place to be.

Verified reviewThe location is the number one reason for coming here and that didn't disappoint. Practically off grid and super remote it was the perfect hideaway fir a few days.
staff at Robinsons seemed to have checked out.. We arrived at the end of the season and owners/ staff seemed tired of tourists and ready for a break themselves. A few tips or friendly gestures would have been really welcome but was missing. Fortunately there were other resorts along the beach which were still able to bring a smile out and interact so it wasn't the end of the world

Verified reviewI absolutely loved glamping here, and wished I could have stayed longer! Sebastian is a fantastic host. The property is at the end of the beach, so very peaceful, amazing views, and great snorkeling right there! I appreciated the use of the paddleboard. The restaurant is known for serving delicious Khmer food. I look forward to my return!

Verified reviewWe absolutely loved our stay! The staff were extremely friendly and the tent was lovely. Careful attention to small details such as fans and safety as well as clearing and raking of the paths and beaches were excellent. The free paddle boards were amazing as well as the ability to have a tab on the property instead of paying for each meal and drink individually. We experienced some brown water in the showers which was the only negative part of our stay. We would definitely recommend this location to future travelers!

Verified reviewThe place is a dream! We stayed in a standard bungalow with a sea view, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff and owner, Sebastian, are wonderful, and the restaurant is perfect, with plenty of places to sit and relax. We originally booked for one night but are coming back next week to stay for an entire week at this gorgeous place—we fell in love with it! The perfect place for couples. ❤️
The bathroom could maybe use a sink somewhere to brush you teeth or shave. Other than that perfect.

Verified reviewWe especially enjoyed the view of the sea, sound of waves while sleeping, the food at Robinsons restaurant, kind staff, closeness to coolest snorkeling spots, free paddle boards, hammocks in the garden, our balcony, thunderstorms at nights, sounds of cicadas, monkeys in the jungle path, books at the restaurant, kuy tev soup
The water in the shower was very hard and made our hair funky, and sometimes it started coming yellow from the pipes, but it was better after the rain. In our bungalow there was no door for the toilet, just the curtains. A few suggestions that could improve your stay- Take a lot of mozzy spray; Come with your own snorkeling gear if you want to snorkel every day like we did; Leave your big luggage at sunny bungalows by the rumi pier, especially suitcases - you won’t be able to carry it down the jungle path.

Verified reviewWe loved it here so much we extended a few days. The place is run with a perfect blend of organisation and chill. All paths and beaches are swept and cleaned every morning, there's plenty of space to relax, alone or in the company of others. Loved it! We loved our beachfront wooden bungalow with terrace. Sunset Beach had everything we wanted, and the 30 min jungle walk to get here automatically filters out large tour groups leaving just those who really want to be there. The owner/manager took good care of us, helping with ferry bookings, making sure we didn't get lost and you get the feeling he really cares about his guests wellbeing.
If you're used to PP street food prices, you will be surprised at the menu prices. But it's completely in line with everything else on the island. I guess paradise has its price! The food is all cooked fresh, portions are a good size and it all tastes really good. No trash - just good cooking. The mattress in our bungalow could do with an upgrade.

Verified reviewWe felt like we were in paradise! You really feel like you have this place for yourself. Staff are very nice, food was absolutely delicious!
We stayed in a tent for 3 nights and the mattress wasn’t very good, we didn’t manage to get a decent sleep there. Would be nice if there was shampoo and shower gel provided in shared bathrooms for everyone to use.
