Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandIt's not this hotel's fault, but the neighbourhood is not nice at all. Shanty town, dirt and trash all over the place. Lots of construction noise and unfinished buildings. Weird vibe in this city and seems to be only for chinese. I don't recommend Sihanoukville
Roof top bar and pool, decent gym. Breakfast was chinese inspired (no western food available)

United KingdomThis was an unexpected last-minute trip. My friend didn't bring identification with him as we hadn't planned to go to sihanouk initially, but I did have my iD, and the booking was in my name. The manager made a fuss about my friend not having iD, which made us feel uncomfortable. He then went on to say the word 'strange' as he started to process our booking so i asked him what he was talking about, he then became challenging saying its strange that my friend doesnt have iD with him even though i had explained the reason why. I could completely understand the issue if none of us had ID, but i had already given him my passport. I've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past few months, but I'll most likely consider a different hotel next time.
I've stayed here 3 times, rooms are big, very clean and comfortable.

SpainThere was a half eaten biscuit on the chair in the room and ants all over it!
Lovely hotel in ugly surroundings. Good breakfast with western food too, cereal, fried eggs, sausages, baked beans, little mini potatoes. Room was huge, comfy bed and pillows, clean (apart from a half eaten biscuit on the chair and ants all over it). We were on second floor and not soundproof - no double glazing? Noise from street. The pool is an infinite one and is great as open til 10pm. Happy hour cocktails two for 5 dollars which was fabulous from 5pm to 7pm roughly. Foor lovely, we ate on the terrace for dinner, lovely lights and music, nice atmosphere. A stopover before flying to Siem Reap, after staying in Koh Rong Sanloem - thank goodness we did not stay in Sihanoukville for the 3 nights as ugly city.

PolandWhile there is no legal obligation to inform about noise resulting from e.g. a nearby construction site, it is standard practice to provide such information, so that the client can decide whether or not to still visit. The noise was audible from the early hours, preventing from really enjoying for example the pool. There was a definite lack of transparency here. We have raised the issue with Booking regarding compensation. The last comment refers to the city itself, not the hotel: avoid coming here! The city has been taken over by China and is one big strip of hotels and casinos. A terrible sight!
Good breakfasts, satisfying both Asian and more Western expectations e.g. omelette or waffles (The only complaint about the juice- it was not fresh and had a chemical aftertaste) Very welcoming and helpful staff

EstoniaThere was constant constructionwork going on right under our window on neighbouring plot. Though it is no their fault. We had non-smoking room but someone clearly was smoking in their room and the smell of smoke filled our bathroom as well. Shower gel and shampoo bottles were empty but we had our own.
The pool area is very nice and the roservice is good!

United KingdomNoise from building site behind hotel, which was not mentioned in their description. We paid every night in the restaurant, but when it came to leaving, we were given a bill for the first night, which we paid for, so we ended up paying twice.
The hotel staff were very polite, and a great breakfast. The room was a good size.

Wear ear plugs, you've been warned Sauna is in the women's changing room (so men can't use) and steam is in the men's (so women can't use) - that is weird and was annoying when I went to use the sauna and wasn't allowed Breakfast needs more Western dishes

United KingdomQuite a lot of noise from the road of an evening when trying to sleep, similar in the early mornings. We were woken daily by construction work at the rear of hotel who start at 7am. Albeit the hotel is new, in the room, paint was peeling off shelving and 2 wires were sticking out of the ceiling as we enter the room.
Roof pool was nice, breakfast was a good choice and staff friendly and helpful.
