Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThe facilities were quite bad with dirty, worn down bathrooms. If you’re like me and don’t mind it’s fine, but just know that Onederz has amazing facilities for half the price. For me the thing that put me off is I found a lot of the staff (not all - some were super nice!) to be very rude. Maybe they are all worn out from constantly having to do Nestivals? Regardless, a lot of the time I felt unwelcome and like a burden…
Nice location on the beach and close to the town. Good atmosphere & the Nestival was very fun! Also massive beds in dorm 1 & 2!! Good restaurant as well.

AustraliaThey offered me a pick up service from the boat, but no one ever arrived, on Saturdays they have a party that I was not aware of and the reception guy told me that was more important, the bed was fine and it was big but they gave me one that was already used so I had to look for a free one, the bathrooms were disgusting and even worse than that
The bed, it’s good one.

IndiaOnly complaint with the bed, which had random knots and made it very uncomfortable to sleep on and led to back pain. The room could also do with a proper clean. Saw multiple cobwebs around the room. Location is on one end of Longset Beach, so that's a positive in terms of quietness and clean waters. But it also means long walk times across the beach to the pier. So choose wisely and make sure to only travel with backpacks.
The hostel was very lively throughout the day and had a host of activities going around. Never a dull moment at the place. The staff were very helpful and prompt in service. They also helped us book bus tickets to Kampot at the hostel, which smoothed our journey, and also booked a day boat trip for us. The check-in instructions were also clear, and made sure to give the right directions for getting here. Food prices were cheaper compared to other places on the island, and they were made very well. Drinks and cocktails were quite good as well. Didn't face power issues once on the property (could've been lucky or the generator functioned well).

United KingdomThe dorms need some TLC. No aircon, just a fan. The toilets in the dorms were very dirty. Stains on the seats and mould.
Great for Nestival. Staff really friendly and the beds comfy.

PolandAs much as I liked Nestival, the dorms were not my favorite. The mattered was on an aluminum sheet so it was making so much noise with every move. The WiFi and signal was not working in the dorms. The cleanliness could be improved.
Nestival! Great initiative and vibes. Loved the beach stage and complimentary vest! Hammocks, bar and restaurant. Next to the jungle. 10 minutes walk to the village, 15 minutes to the main beach and other social hostels.

United KingdomDon’t take 100 reil notes, music pumping constantly and have to wait for them to open at like 9am for breakfast. Bed sheets smelt so bad and bathrooms weren’t the nicest.
Beautiful calm location, basic amenities, free beer from time to time. Lots of things going on.

United KingdomGetting there was very difficult on the roads, leading up to the hostel the roads are terrible and then walking down do the property through the jungle was difficult (granted it’s a short walk) but there is also litter and rubbish everywhere. That wasn’t a big issue but not what I expected. I booked a room with “private balcony and garden view”- there was a shared balcony with other other people in the rooms around you and it wasn’t a pleasant balcony to sit or anything just a bit of concrete at the top of the stairs, and the garden view was just more jungle with loads of litter and rubbish, not really a view at all
Bar and restaurant were right on the beach, it was beautiful and quiet. The food was delicious and staff were very helpful. I had an issue with my door lock and they sorted it out immediately. We stayed Monday-Tuesday so it was pretty empty but I’ve heard that if you go Thursday-Sunday it’s gets busy and is a good party vibe

United KingdomOnly thing I didn’t like is that there is no wifi in the bedrooms, only at reception and there is no service anywhere. But that’s okay as I didn’t spend much time in the room anyway
Went for nestival and loved it. The beds were double beds and clean rooms. The only thing is the toilets get blocked up during nestival as so many people are using them. If you go not during nestival I can imagine it is super clean

United KingdomEverything's always covered in sand but you kind of have to accept that. Food from restaurant was ok; portions just about ok for the price and veggie stuff isn't great but it's fine, drinks are good. Worth walking 15 mins to the pier area for more food options if you can be bothered but if not the restaurant is fine. Quite busy and chaotic at times, defo not the place to chill out, although there are hammocks and places further down the beach to relax if you want to escape.
Very social/party vibes. The WiFi is only in the restaurant but is pretty good when it works. Bathrooms are fine. Beach is really stunning. Lots of social events every night. Overall it's pretty good for a few nights but I think it's worth splitting a stay in Koh Rong between somewhere like here and a quieter place on a different side of the island (recommend Lonely Beach) to make the most of staying here.

GermanyIf you’re planning on staying at Nest, please be aware that this is a PARTY HOSTEL and nothing else. Rooms and especially bathrooms were as disgusting as expected. We haven’t had water for 2 days straight, so you can imagine the bathroom situation after people got drunk and partied the entire night. Don’t go if your main reason is not to party. Otherwise, prepare yourself for lack of comfort but an amazing time with great people.
Parties and people were really great. Location is absolutely beautiful as it’s right on the beach. Overall I had a lot of fun during my stay (3 nights incl. Nestival).
