A Wonderful Stay – Truly the Best Hotel of Our Trip! We’ve been traveling around Asia for almost five weeks now, and Siem Reap was our fifth stop. Out of all the hotels we've stayed in during this trip, Mango Kesararam Hotel has been by far the best! We stayed here for 8 days and absolutely loved every moment. There are so many reasons why this place stood out, but what truly made our stay exceptional was Mr. Heng, the owner. He is incredibly kind, observant, and attentive to all his guests. He somehow always knew the perfect time to clean our room, so it was ready and spotless just when we returned to rest. Even more impressively, he anticipated when our two little ones wanted to swim and had towels ready for us before we even headed to the pool. It’s rare to meet such a genuinely humble and thoughtful host who truly cares about his guests’ comfort and safety. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The furniture and décor really give you that “holiday” feeling—relaxed, calm, and cozy. Our family room was spacious, with high ceilings and plenty of room for the kids to move around. The bathtub was also a hit with our little ones! Location-wise, the hotel is in a great spot—quiet yet conveniently close to everything. As a family traveling with young children, and me being currently pregnant, the accessibility and peacefulness were especially appreciated. We are genuinely thankful to Mr. Heng for making our stay in Cambodia so memorable. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a warm, welcoming place to stay in Siem Reap.

The pool was amazing after being out in the heat all day and the hotel is so clean and pretty! It’s located on a very quiet side street beside a beautiful temple. It’s so serene and relaxing. The host is so kind and welcoming too. He was always there to help out and he really made our stay enjoyable! Sending love from Canada ❤️

A beautiful chilly place in a central quiet and zen location decorated with lots of taste. Amazing friendliness by Heng, our host, who also helped us organise anything we needed, including a Tuktuk to the different temples.

Everything! We all loved everything about this place. Was in a great location and the owner was absolutely amazing. The owner helped with our washing, we had beautiful drinks, the pool was very refreshing and beautiful. Love how we were welcomed in each time we returned back and the owner helped us in with umbrella from the tuk tuk when it was raining, definitely going above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay! The location was also nice and peaceful inside a Buddhist temple with friendly neighbors around. It was sad to leave and hopefully we can return one day to stay at the beautiful place 😀

This place is amazing. We were so glad we stayed here! The host is the nicest man we’ve met in our travels. He is so kind and has excellent recommendations! The place is so much whiter than the main strip, but is still quite close to downtown. Would definitely come back and can’t recommend enough!

Absolutely magical location. I was blown away when I arrived walking through that monastery. It is super clean and has everything you need. Heng was the kindest soul, he would always greet my return, offer me a drink and remember my name. He treated me like part of his family and was really appreciated as a solo female traveller. He went above and beyond. He also helped sort out my trips and transport. I’ll always remember my experience here! Thank you so much!!! ♥️

Absolutely lovely staff - we were only staying for one night and had a sunrise Angkor Wat tour booked, and were able to have a late checkout for no extra charge. Bed was comfortable, and bathroom was lovely. Great location with no noise, and easily able to walk into Siem Reap and explore night markets. A great find!!

If you're planning a visit to Siem Reap, stay at Mango Kesararam. Tucked inside the peaceful grounds of Wat Kesararam—a living pagoda and monastery, this place is more than just a hotel. It’s a sanctuary. From the moment you walk through the temple gates, you’ll feel something shift. The city noise softens, the air seems calmer, and you’ll be welcomed not with formality, but with heartfelt warmth... and a glass of the most delicious fresh mango juice you’ve ever tasted. And then there's Mr. Heng—the soul of Mango Kesararam. He doesn’t just run the place; he takes care of you like an old friend. Whether you need a tuk-tuk, advice on what temples to visit, where to eat, how to get your laundry done, or simply a quiet place to rest after a long day—he’s there. Always kind, always generous, and never in a way that feels transactional. Just genuinely caring. After a hot day exploring, you’ll come back to the smile, an offer of tea or coffee, or another of those mango smoothies—and it’ll feel like coming home. You’ll fall in love with the place itself, too. It’s small, peaceful, and beautifully maintained—an actual oasis tucked into the spiritual heart of the city. You’re just a short walk from amazing local eats like Madam Moch Khmer Restaurant and Le Pain du Coeur, where the pastries alone are worth waking up early for. Your room? It’ll be spotless and thoughtfully decorated in traditional Khmer style. The aircon is whisper-quiet (a blessing), and the little pool will become your happy place—the perfect way to unwind after a day wandering temple ruins and jungle paths. Mango Kesararam ended up being one of the most memorable stays of my entire trip. By the time I left, I wasn’t just checking out of a hotel—I was saying goodbye to someone I’d come to admire, in a place that felt deeply personal. So if you’re coming to Siem Reap, stay here. The temples will leave you awestruck—but it’s this little sanctuary that will truly stay with you.

    Absolutely nothing. I loved everything.

We love this hotel, Heng is super helpful and kind. We had some fantastic fresh fruit smoothies. His knowledge and advice on visiting Angkor Wat and the city temples was really useful. And his guidance on all the local wonderful things to do was invaluable. Our room was modern and still had lots of character, it was a great size room, lovely big bathroom and wardrobe and coffees, tea and cold water was refreshing. Outside the local Wat Kesararam has a lovely vibe.

    Nothing. It was perfect

It was one of the best experiences we had with a stay in our trip. The owner is really friendly we basically help us out with each other single thing we need (transfer, tickets, tour, places to eat, laundry, restaurant discounts). Every time we came back from some tour he was offering some coffee or tee. A gentlemen, so polite! When you get there to check-in, you will be welcomed with a Mango juice, so good tasting. Well, so happy we did stayed with them. Also pretty gay friendly since we are two gays traveling. Thansk!

    Nothing. Everything was wonderful.

As someone who frequently reviews accommodations, I truly appreciated the charm of this small property, with just a few units, it offers a refreshing alternative to large, impersonal hotels and felt quiet and private. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed at the reception with a cup of coffee and a beautifully presented plate of sweet, ripe mango slices, which set a very pleasant tone for the stay. The person at the reception was incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful—service of that caliber is rare and worth highlighting. . The room itself was well-prepared for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, and the air conditioning worked well. These basics were all in place and functioning as expected, which helped ensure a smooth and restful visit.

While the hospitality was memorable, there are several areas that could be improved. The coffee offered at check-in was unfortunately of poor quality, which felt out of step with the otherwise warm welcome. I was also given a plate of beautifully sliced mango, which I appreciated, but after trying just a couple of pieces, I accidentally dropped the plate and returned it before heading out. It wasn’t offered again the next morning—which would have been a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The swimming pool is quite small and was not in the cleanest condition during my stay; there were dry leaves and insects floating on the surface, which made it less inviting. As for the room, although well-equipped and comfortable, the high-set window facing a concrete wall gave it a somewhat basement-like feel, which may not appeal to everyone. Additionally, the number of mosquitoes in the room was significant. Fortunately, I always travel in Asia with an electric mosquito repellent, but it’s something other guests should be prepared for. Another point worth noting is the location: while not isolated, it is relatively far from the city center and Pub Street if you're traveling on foot. For those planning to explore Siem Reap primarily by walking, this might be a consideration. Lastly, the toiletries provided were of noticeably low quality—comparable to those found in the most basic guesthouses. The toothbrush had overly hard plastic bristles, the bar soap did not lather, and the unlabelled bottle made it unclear whether it contained shampoo or body wash. Again, I was unaffected as I bring my own essentials, but this could be disappointing for guests who expect a higher standard. And I did not get any smoothies.

This might sound like exaggeration, but Mango Kesararam and our wonderful host Heng have been the best stay we have ever had - anywhere. From the moment we walked through the doors at this wonderful building, we were met with kindness, helpfulness and generosity. Heng was extremely helpful and kind in talking to us about what we wanted to see & do, what times we wanted to do things, what sights were worth seeing, what restaurants to eat at and many more things! Not only this, but he arranged everything that we needed, and introduced us to the most wonderful driver and guide that we could have hoped for (Ra and Bol! - excuse my spelling!) who really went out of their ways to make our trip as fantastic as they could, with no request being too much for them. Furthermore, Heng was extremely attentive when we were in his wonderful stay, from offering hot and cold drinks at all times of the day (including making the best Mango smoothies we have ever had!) to arranging last minute trips at the drop of a hat, he really was the ultimate host! Everybody should visit Siem Reap, not just to see the most amazing temples in the world, but also to experiences the kind generatorsiy of the local people - and when you're there you should 100% stay with Heng at this wonderful place!

There is literally nothing that wasn't perfect during our stay.
