Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenLack of available power; Every guest bungalow (as of May/June 2025) lacks power outlets, there is battery powered lights though. The owners tries to have a powerbank available at daytime in restaurant. That works while the amount of guests are low AND you having the right cables with you as well (one powerbank had only USB-A outputs, two of my chargers ports has USB-C only! (I had only had one USB-A to USB-C cable with me but 3 USB-C devices to charge each day! I had to plan this interleaved charging times throughout the day and was forced to leave my devices unsupervised for hours at a time while I'm out. This situation lead me to some anxiety; I had 5 devices I needed to keep charged! You have to be willing to leave your phones, tablets, wifi-hotspot and cameras out of your supervision for hours! Or, babysit the charging process for hours each day, sometimes you are forced to wait for others to finish their charging so you can get a free compatible port. Because it was unsupervised one of my devices cable and charging port was bent badly and damaged by some rough handling. I wasn't there so I have clue who is to blame. This what you can / should expect when there is such a frenzy for charging and everyone wants priority. The replenishment of ingredients; the food menu was limited to start with. When further ingredients went unavailable like cinnamon or banana it gets further worse. That lack of cinnamon lead me to cut out pancakes for breakfast for 4 days in a row! (Positive note: Lily's Beach guests: please try their pancakes they are so good!) No ripe bananas: again that hit the pancakes and atleast 2 of the shakes/smoothies (positive note: their banana-chocolate shake is absolutely delicious and has the best shake-like creamy rich texture and consistency of the bunch offered). No fans in Bungalows. Well, no 230V = no fans = Bungalow is now a sweat lodge.
The marvellous snorkling / freedive access nearby is one of the top contenders for Koh Rong. (Both at north and west/south side of the Lonely Beach are excellent. For those who are good swimmer you can swim(along the shoreline) to a small island(Dog island?) nearby(3-4km away. It is nearly attached to main island by very shallow path of boulders and coral reef. Once there see even more amazing underwater flora and fauna! You can see the island when viewing satellite image on google map. It is also easily located by eyesight from Lonely beach, look for a large-ish yellowish house with a long pier (National committee for maritime security). It is on the west side of the "shallow Lonely Beach bay". Lily's Beach Bungalows has friendly and helpful staff and owners whom I believe try their best to please guests. Like, they offered us free coconut(s). I mentioned to owners that they present misleading photos to future guests and they corrected it the same day, that is positive.

BrazilBecause there’s no electricity, there isn’t also a fan. In some nights with no wind can be very hot and humid. Wasn’t a problem for me, but just be sure of what you’re booking to not complain later.
The location is beautiful, in lonely beach, a quiet and clean beach in the north of the island. The staff is super kind. The Bungalow is comfortable and chill. The fact that there’s no energy and internet was amazing to really connect to the nature and relax. The restaurant offers good options with good prices during the whole day.

United KingdomThe foods a bit basic but there's choice with another restaurant run by a French man and his family just down through the the palm trees. 2 nights are enough unless you are really recharging your batteries. Not really an issue - more advice really - Bring your own food snacks, supplies, and meds etc as once your here, your here. There's no boats out, except the snorkeling boat, and nowhere to walk to.
It's away from everything and everyone .. Remote, and with a small restaurant further down the beach for a choice of two, it's all fine. Even the 20 mins walk by foot to get there after the Tuk Tuk drops you off.. (you don't have to carry your luggage) I loved that.. If you are courageous to manage with very little this is all good, I'd even say excellent, for it's price. The electricity works, there is a bucket for a shower, there's running water in the sink, and there's a loo.. It's all basic but fine and good. There's not much signal, but you can plug your phone in in one area to recharge. A very unspoilt location. Rustic, rural. Wonderful small beach with hammocks and sunsets. Everyone's in bed early.. No noise.. No parties etc.. What's not to love? They are kind caring staff.. I'd definitely come back.

United KingdomThere wasn’t any WiFi which it did mention in the description, however we found it very difficult to find any signal at all for our stay. And there was about an half hour walk as the tuk tuk couldn’t take us all the way there :(

AustriaThe pickup was very confusing with some communication issues. Also you habe to walk the last 30 minutes to the hotel because Tuktuks can’t drive on that road. You also don’t have electricity and only a bucket shower
The most beautiful beach we have ever been to right in front of the property. Plenty of hammocks line the beach with plenty of shade from the trees. Restaurant has decent amount of options and has an awesome view. While the room obly has the necessities it was very clean and comfortable.

Germany- only possible to pay in cash - no light / electricity in bungalow (light in the bathroom worked, most days you could charge your phone in common area) - would highly recommend to open a scooter rental / make it possible to rent scooters on lilys beach because otherwise you have to walk 40/50 min to next village to rent scooters
- very nice and clean beach - food was very decent and fresh seafood available every day, not one meal on the menu we wouldn’t recommend - very friendly staff - good size of bungalow, mosquito net in very good condition - beautiful scenery overall, nice sunsets and overall „good vibe“

ItalyThe way to reach the place is not pleasant especially because you need to walk under the sun. But we knew about it. Only for the way back we got to know that for 2 USD they can organize a scooter taxi. Why not tell this also for the way there?!?!? The staff (except for the 2 kitchen chefs) is not friendly: no smiles, very poor English. Everyone felt the same except for French guests.. (maybe there are some preferences). They were burning everyday grass but also garbage which is really not ok and they started to clean a bit the beach and around the property only 2 days after I started to do it. Before that there was an incredible amount of garbage around brought by the sea but also produced by the staff who were partying almost every evening and leaving lots of empty cans of beer, cigarettes, joints and glasses around. Very unprofessional lazy people for European standards..the owner has also a party cruise business: some days arrived small groups, other big ones and they get food, set up a fireplace and on demand they leave the young guests putting loud music on. We spent 3 weeks on the island and have seen each single beach and stayed in different hotels, bungalows or resort. Overall I can’t really recommend to stay at Lily’s place but to definitely visit the beach during daytime.
The beach (depending on the tide and wind) is beautiful. Palms, trees, lots of shadow, hammocks everywhere. The bungalows are basic but nice and clean. No issue at all to shower with a bucket, even with 2 small kids. Few choices of food but good. Nothing to do, no internet, no electricity and therefore, relaxing.

ItalyWe stayed in Lilli’s bungalow for 4 days in the NY eve. I would like to admit spectacular views of the sunset on lonely beach, bioluminescent plankton-one of nature’s miracles. Bungalow was equipped with all needed: the shower is quite well-water was warm enough. Problems with electricity and charging are understandable considering the remote placement of the island. Food was cooked by local lady and, in spite of limited choice, it was delicious 😋 Our suppers near the sea were unforgettable. Considering the remote area, the only option to transport the heavy luggages is through a motorbike while you have to walk through the nature for 25min. This can happen also in the night if you have an early boat, like it has happened tò us...

FranceThis is the best beach we've seen on the island. The guesthouse is lovely, with Khmer-style bungalows, which makes it feel like an immersive experience. The room is very clean and cozy! It's clear that the owner pays a lot of attention to the cleanliness and comfort of their guests. Ambre, the owner, is very sweet. She is French, and the energy of the guesthouse is very family-like. You can tell that the small team is very close-knit, and it feels like being at home. Also, a big thank you for the cooking – the chef is very talented, and special congratulations for the fish and chips! The boat tour is also a must-do! It’s very affordable and a lot of fun. We visited 3 spots to see the fish with a mask and snorkel. Highly recommended! I’m not usually one to give glowing reviews, but this place truly deserves it! I highly recommend it if you're looking for a paradisiacal holiday. This side of the beach is very quiet and not well-known, which allows you to experience the perfect "lost island" vibe. Plus, there are hammocks everywhere!

IrelandNeither of these things are negatives for us at all- but it’s more of an FYI. The bathrooms have bucket showers, which were really easy and clean to use and the water didn’t feel cold. The road to access Lonely Beach/the Bungalows is tricky. If you’re arriving by tuk tuk I’d expect you’d stay on the resort for your time there as you would have to walk a good bit (I’m guessing 30 minutes) from tuk tuk access. If you’re arriving by motorbike just be aware it’s doable but much of the road isn’t paved so we did a little exploring around the island during the day but returned before dark. We stayed here for 3/6 nights and it was a great place to stay put!
The bungalows are new and clean and right on the beach. The beach and location is so incredibly beautiful with amazing sunsets! It also seems to be more protected from the wind than most other beaches on the island. Some days it was very quiet, some days it was a little busier with visitors but still very quiet. At night time there’s only a few people there. It’s really a lovely place tucked away, you won’t find much entertainment but if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the sounds of the ocean then this is the place. We really enjoyed the food! If you’re staying somewhere remote it’s important to have easy access to nice food. The owners are very nice and accommodating and the volunteer Rapha brought a lot of warmth and personality to Lily’s.
