The fact that this island is hardly built up and Lazy Beach is the only resort on that part of the island. The staff was very friendly. Even if it was the rainy season and didn't do much sunbathing we enjoyed playing in the waves and exploring the island.

Fantastic! An island dream - beautiful quiet location (we went in August low season) with lovely staff and good well priced food & drinks.

We loved the rustic vibe but it may not be for everyone

Accommodation is on quite side of island. What I loved the most is restaurant served always fresh food made with love and quite tasty. Normally I would go for different bars and restaurants for some variation. Cause Lazy Beach is a isolated I had every meal at accommodation. It never was a miss. I messaged before arrival. Staff helped me with getting right ferry operator and port to get to island. I got picked up by hotel's tractor which was a fun experience by itself. Bungalows was big nice and clean. The shower missed a bit of pressure but well it still had water. The beds are comfy and not too soft. 20 meters walking and you are with your feet in sea. Great!

It's a minor negative cause I slept well. The airco was a bit struggling with the size of the room. With the fan on it directed cool air towards bed. The rest of room was not that cool during daytime. It's not related to accommodation; The magnitude of deforesting island for creating roads is just awfull to see. What are they planning?! I reckon in couple of years island is paved with roads with many many hotels, resorts and bungalows. So all charm of a tropical island disappears. Sibling island Koh Rong magnitude is even worse. That island will get an Airport (center island has been flattened and undone of plants and trees). It's prep work for mass tourism.

It is a unique experience. This quiet secluded place along the inlet with a. Virtually private beach is amazing. The sunsets are breathtaking. It an expeditious want before progress and time wash away. This is Thailand beaches 40 years ago. Even the trip by boat and tractor is unique and memorable.

I had a very good time at the Lazy Beach Resort. The people are very kind, the room looked amazing and the restaurant/bar was very chill. The menu has quite a lot of options and the food tasted great as well. I would love to come back some day!

Everything. Incredible setting. Loved our super basic home. The tractor ride made it even better. The crackers journey made it all the more special. Definitely chose the cleaner side of the island. The bar and staff were fabulous every day. It’s the place we all think of when we say ‘Cambodia’ despite staying in many, many locations. Just perfect. Thank you!

We love wildlife but I appreciate some people might struggle to share with the lovely lizards. They never troubled us but they do make you jump if you aren’t expecting them! We also forgot to collect our snacks from the bar when we left so some kind of ticket or reminder that you handed over your food would have helped. We left behind quite a bit! Oops.

The beach is stunning, the vibes are so chill, it's not packed like everywhere else, you can snorkel right off the beach, food is amazing, staff is kind and helpful. This is our third year in a row, and this is our favourite place on earth.

There's nothing to dislike here, except that more and more people learn about it so it might get harder to book lol.

We stayed for 9 nights in a very basic bungalow right on the beach. This location is the best on the island. Peaceful blue water, great walks, snorkelling, and resting amongst nature. Possibly the best sunsets in the world! The staff are so wonderful and you can sense a real family ran business who look after each other and you during your stay. The food at the restaurant is the best we have had in Cambodia, try the bor bor for breakfast! Honestly, every meal was amazing. What an adventure, you will be being picked up on the tractor when you arrive and looked after to move to your next destination. We can’t thank Lazy beach staff enough, we loved our stay. Hope to be back one day.

Not a complaint. But you should be aware that the old bungalows are very basic, you are open to the elements. They are building new ones, but it won’t be the same experience. Sleep under the mosquito nets as cabins are not sealed. We had a few creepy crawlies. Once you get used to this. It is 100% worth it for the location.

A beautiful spot, far from the tourist crowds. Great food. Hardworking and lovely staff.

Sea lice in the ocean. Apparently they’re not present in all seasons/weathers, but I was getting hundreds of vicious tiny bites when I swam, which made getting in the water a really horrible experience. Also noisy building work and renovations are going on, which really spoil the peace and quiet. (We asked to be moved to a different bungalow to escape the racket.) The original bungalows are rustic and beautifully designed, with sandy paths and native trees growing wild inbetween. The renovated ones are doubtless more modern, but the aesthetic is quite different and a lot less attractive. The new paths and planting are twee and suburban and this would definitely put us off coming back here. Despite the staff’s best efforts to clear it away, a lot of rubbish washes up on the beach. If you walk along the beach away from the buildings , there is rubbish everywhere.
