Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The staff has been really helpful through my entire stay. The hotel is beautiful, and very relaxing, especially the pool area. It's rather quiet around. The hotel is conveniently located next to the Royal Palace (less than 5 minutes walking), quite central. The room was spacious, with all necessary amenities.I would definitely recommend this hotel

AustraliaThe rooms were lovely as was the pool and our door dining area. The staff were exceptional and kindly assisted us when we needed to stay an extra day. The food there was great but also located close enough to many other great eateries. The jungle feel was a nice quiet reprieve outside the busy city. We will definitely be back.

BelgiumThe hotel is located opposite a Buddhist monastery so we were woken up every day at 4.30 am from the prayers that were broadcast via a megaphone. It lasted about an hour, and hour and a half so something to keep in mind if you are a light sleeper or cannot fall asleep after being woken up.
The staff were very kind, the hotel was in a good location and it was very clean.

VietnamMosquitoes, mosquitoes and more mosquitoes in our room and from speaking to other guests not the only room with this problem!!! Very small onsite pool and whilst the pool at the sister hotel is huge it lacks feel and ambience and you get the notion it could be a pool anywhere in the world instead of feeling like South East Asia. Expensive to have coffee by the pool at $3 a pop when your an avid coffee or tea drinker. Also finding yourself gazing at the local feral cat as it goes to the toilet next to the pool does not endear patrons for a return!
Great location and wonderful staff. Our room was spacious and well layed out with a small but great bathroom/shower room. Excellent to be able to use the facilities of Penh House Hotel next door which has a fantastic bar upstairs with great views of the city especially at night.

GermanyStaying at Jungle Addition was one of the highlights of my time in Phnom Penh. This hotel feels like a true hidden oasis right in the heart of the city — surrounded by lush plants, beautiful design elements, and a calm atmosphere that makes you instantly relax. The rooms are stylish, clean, and full of character, with thoughtful details and a tropical touch. I loved how the entire place is filled with greenery, creating a peaceful, almost jungle-like vibe, even though you’re just minutes away from the city’s lively streets. A special mention goes to the amazing staff, who were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with transport, or anything else you might need. Their positive energy truly adds to the overall experience. Whether you’re visiting Phnom Penh for sightseeing or just want to unwind in a beautiful setting, Jungle Addition is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommended — I will definitely come back!

New ZealandThe major letdown of our room was the appalling lighting. There was no direct lighting from above. The bedside lights were dim and not bright enough to illuminate the room or read by. It made for a dark and dingy room where we couldn't read without using our torches. If the lighting had been better, we would have rated a 10.
A beautiful peaceful property in the heart of the city. Close enough to walk to riverfront and restaurants. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and helpful staff who also booked our onward bus and ferry tickets for us. Pool was spotless. Breakfast was excellent by the pool from a menu, order as many things as you wanted. Quiet room, good Wi-Fi. The room was well equipped with everything you need.

A lovely hotel with a beautiful tropical pool area. Great breakfast and the staff couldn't do enough for you. A bonus is use of the rooftop pool and restaurant of the Penh House Hotel down the street. We wished we could have stayed longer!

IsraelThe breakfast, even though generous, was not up to hotel standard in our opinion. Even though everything was available and unlimited we felt like the quality wasn't really there. Simple white bread and pastry, sweet yogurt (why?) and no fresh orange juice (boxed), local dishes like noodle soup, need improvement - coffee was ok . Even thought breakfast was included and we did not pay extra for it we kind of expected more as everything else about this property was on point. We still give the hotel a 10 as it did not ruin our overall experience and desire to come back.
We are extremely happy with our choice to stay at Jungle Addition. All staff members were kind, polite and accommodating. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we had a good night sleep. The hotel has more of a villa style feeling rather then hotel which we really liked. The jungle-feel atmosphere was a big bonus being in the city center and it really felt very shaded and natural. We enjoyed the possibility to use the facilities of their second hotel Penh House down the street as the rooftop pool and restaurant are unbelievably beautiful and provide a truly unique experience- we spent most of our time at that gorgeous pool- not to be missed! Also made use of the gym that is also located at the second hotel. We were very impressed with both hotels and had a complete and unforgettable experience.

New ZealandPass, everything was perfect. Even the washing was charged by the kilo, so very cost effective - but the shirts were still immaculately folded.
The indoor / outdoor feeling, a three-story art deco structure nestled in well maintained trees / plants, integrated with the pool and small bar area. Perfect restfulness. Photos are from my room.
