Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PhilippinesEverything is good!
Exceptional experience we had with The Golden Temple Residence. The staff value the customer experience of their guest from accommodation, tickets, well-arranged transportation and good food. Will definitely be back again soon

United StatesA small warning - it is a bit noisy at night. There is a club on Pub Street that pumps music at incredibly high volume (I don't even understand how anyone can be INSIDE of it!), and I could hear it at night. Fortunately I had ear plugs, so it wasn't a big deal. I'm a light sleeper - my husband wasn't bothered by it at all.
This is an absolutely fantastic hotel; we were treated like royalty! The structure itself is really nice, with a great ambience and wonderful decor. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff kind, attentive, and wonderful.

SwedenMinus for the semi open doors to the bathroom. And it was very noisy from the neighbouring roof terrace one night, fine the other four nights, but hey, this is the city center, it won't be totally quiet!
Very nice staff who really wants to serve, sometimes a little too much pleasing for our taste. But they are really friendly, good English, and as I said, they really go beyond in service! Very clean, spacious room, good AC, fantastic shower/bathroom (only minus is the semi open doors to the bathroom), very comfortable bed. Fair prices at the restaurant and the food was really good. A lot of breakfast choices. The Apsara show and dinner was an enjoyable and very relaxing atmosphere. Did not try the spa.

United StatesI can't think of anything at all. I guess the Apsara dance show was kind of loud but I enjoyed it? It's literally perfect.
On my 7th trip to Siem Reap, I booked the luxury king suite for 12 nights because I needed a place to work on some writing. I have stayed at many nice hotels all over the world and think I have pretty good taste but this was my favorite hotel in the world, ever. What can I say about it? It was perfect! Incredible luxury for a reasonable price, wonderful room with dimmer lights and a sofa, fantastic service, beautiful pool, beautiful balcony to sit, greetings every time I came in or out -- they treat you as family here -- but also left me alone to work, as I needed. The location was a five minute walk to Pub Street and ten to Wat Damnak, tons of stores in area but didn't seem gentrified either, a good mix of nics with local. I would not change one thing about the hotel and it will be the only place I stay again in Siem Reap. I saw dozens of hotels walking around and none were as beautiful, plus again the service and staff made my day, from the Wonderful front desk staff Monica and Harry, to the sweet maid, the man who brought me taro chips every night, and the beautiful young women at the (fantastic!!!) breakfast buffet. I rarely went out because I was working on writing but this was as nice of a hotel as I have stayed anywhere in the world. Salt scrub is fantastic too! It cleared my skin immediately. I loved the bathroom tile! I loved the vibrant color of the hotel! I tried a lot of room service and would recommend Samlor Kakor and Khmer veggie curry the most. Also they have great salads. The room is huge and has perfect flow to it, which sparked my writing well. I would stay here over a single hotel in the French Quarter, to be honest. It's a total home away from home and feels very posh-Cambodian. The Spa across the street also had a good Thai massage! And Nick's restaurant wound up being a definite favorite for casual takeout. The bed was amazingly comfortable and so were the bath robes! Everything was thoughtfully put together.

FranceWe had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful hotel, perfectly located near the temples and the fabulous night market. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the warm welcome and the kindness of the entire team, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. So many thoughtful little touches made our stay extra special: refreshing towels and iced teas upon our return from each excursion, delicious treats in the room… it was truly delightful! Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of fresh options served in a lovely setting. The pools are stunning—beautifully decorated and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special mention for the spa, which is an absolute must-try! Thank you so much to Sela and Khean for their magical hands and gentle care. Also, a heartfelt thank you for the laundry service! Our clothes came back in a lovely basket, incredibly soft, smelling fresh, and folded to perfection—just like Marie Kondo would do it. An exceptional place we wholeheartedly recommend! AustraliaCannot think of anything that I was not happy with.
Combined with the beautiful, friendly and amazing staff, the hotel was lovely with large comfortable beds, thick quality bath towels, fabulous breakfast with great choice of both Eastern and Western food. The location is both close, but not too close to Beer Street and the Night Markets. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and so helpful. We were made to feel so very special. A very memorable stay and we would highly recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

AustraliaWe were only told that there was an issue with the electricity in the property that we booked. We were then offered a sister property which was on the other side of town. This was an inconvenience to our tour schedule and planned activities. We also had to pay for tuk tuks as it was further away than the "short walk" that was explained to us. Did not like the customer service of one of the receptionist. We didn't appreciate the way she spoke to us, impatient and condescending in the way she tried to get her message across. It wasn't a language barrier, it was the attitude of the employee. The customer service in other areas was very good but to the point that it was almost suffocating. They are always in your face. We couldn't enjoy ourselves without multiple staff continuing to check on us. We booked the Apsara show and was caught off guard at the manager asking us to give a 5 star review of the show only half way through, we would have given a review on our own accord however this encounter left a bad impression.
Location was great, close to a lot of street food and bars, spas and massage. The spa in the hotel was outstanding. We actually went back a few more times.
