Reviews of Blondies Koh Rong Bungalow

We stayed at Blondies for 4 nights as a nice little break from our backpacking trip in Southeast Asia. The bungalow was located just outside of the relatively busy beach area in Sok San Beach. Our host was helpful with directions on how to get to the stay and he was there waiting for us when we got there. He provided us with some emergency data from his personal hotspot as there is only one cellphone service provider with good signal in that part of Koh Rong. He was also kind enough to set up a tuk tuk service to the pier. The bungalow itself was basic and nice which allowed us to disconnect from the world and relax. The bed was comfy and had a mosquito net. There was also a small fridge available in the room.

Although the bathroom was clean and large, there was a really large gecko rooming with us and he would kindly leave his poop behind on the bathroom floor. It's not the stay's fault, it's just part of life on an island. Just beware, you might find droppings every now and then.

Johnny’s bungalows are perfectly situated on Sok San Beach. Great restaurants and snorkeling spots are around. Johnny is really nice and accomodating. Highly recommend :)!

We stayed in one of blondies bungalows, we absolutely loved it! Had everything we needed, was spacious and comfortable. John was always on call if you needed anything. We can’t wait to come back!

Everything was great! John is a great guy and loves to give you the best advices for activities around the area or island. There is a snorkeling point right next to the Bungalows and the equipment is free for guests. Blondies also provide free water for your stay.

Blondies is such a beautiful place, right in front of the sea! We had a lovely time and John is very kind and sweet. This part of the island is quiet and peaceful, with a stunning beach, friendly locals, cute dogs and cats! The bungalow is comfortable, you even get a water jug, coffee and tea. Would definitely recommend to stay there few days to enjoy a slow life!

The location of the bungalow was great, in easy reach of restaurant and the piers. The best of our stay were the pavilions with available hammocks overlooking the sea and bay in front of the bungalows. Johny was a great help during our stay and welcomed us with a cold drink. He also organised a scooter and an amazing boat tour. A water tank is provided which is very much appreciated.

A very minor point: a brighter light in the main room would be great.

The property was in the perfect location, right by Sok San beach which we found to be the best beach on the island! Johnny was super friendly and welcoming, he gave us some great recommendations for where to eat and things to do. The chilling areas were a really nice addition also! The properly is just a short walk from shops and restaurants which was really handy. We would definitely recommend blondies!

Nothing really! The room was quite basic but this wasn’t an issue for us.

- early check in and late check out. Thanks to John we gained 1,5days of out time in the island <3 - location of Blondies is at the end of the infrastructure, so it was calmly there, - great restaurant nearby - room was specious, bed was comfy - there was a fridge in a room and huge jug of water which was super helpful because we didn't have to buy water throughout our stay - John told us about wonderful snorkeling place and lent us glasses for free, so we had a wonderful time watching fish

- we wanted to rent a bungalow, but they all were taken, so we stayed in a room. There are three rooms in a row and they are not isolated from each other. Our neighbours were very noisy and stayed up during the night, so we also had to. It was hard to sleep.

Very chilled, amazing view, take it as an upgraded camping and your expectations won't be let down. Really nice pillows, great neighbours.

The area is rid with sandflies. I am not sure how extended the problem is, but I left looking like a grater. I initially thought it was mosquitos, but I now know it's sandflies as days later I am still covered and managing with antihistamines (thank god I brought some). Apparently they are attracted by dark clothings and I only brought black stuff.... Such a shame cause I loved my stay here. I read Kiwi and Australians have natural immunity to sandflies so that's that. Hope this will help manage expectations or at least plan around it (bring light colour clothings!) 😅

Location was amazing. Near Sok san village where you can get a taste of local life. Blondies overlooks the sea and the pergolas for guests are the best place to watch sunrise. We stayed in another area in Koh Rong and Blondies location was our favourite John was very responsive to my messages even before we got there and gave us very useful tips. My husband was sick and John was kind enough to give us some medicine. Room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Bed was comfy and came with a mosquito net.

Great place in a peaceful location. John, the owner of Blondies is super helpful person. He managed to help us in all things that we needed on the remote Island. Wow. This was amazing place with great host. Do not hesitate to book this place if you are looking for a great island vacation

What a great place! Quiet and cozy. Johnny is extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place, you'll love it!

the owner was very helpful. he greeted us on the ferry, which was a nice surprise. we got a room right after we arrived even though check in was at 2pm, without extra charge. the bedroom area was nice. the facility was clean. private hammocks and diving masks for guests.

shower without a shower cubicle, placed in front of the toilet, which makes the bathroom more dirty and causes walking in the wet space.

We would like to sincerely thank Johnny; we felt incredibly welcomed throughout our entire stay. He greeted us directly at the pier and helped us with our luggage. He was very accommodating with all our requests, including arranging a boat tour, laundry services, restaurant recommandation and scooter rental. The room was nice and comfy. We highly recommend this place, perfectly located in the area of the best beach of the island.

We had very nice stay at Blondies. Bungalow was very clean and have good facilities. John is very nice man and he is also very helpful and give you lots of good advice. There is no WiFi which is good escape from Internet and social media but if you need to be connected buy Cellcard it working well. Beach is walkable.

These bungalows exceeded my wildest expectations. This is exactly the quiet oasis I was looking for. Located on a peaceful part of the island with rustic bungalows that have an unbelievable amount of care and detail to them. From the extra towels to the refillable water, coffee/tea, mini fridge, mosquito net and even citronella sticks. John (the owner) is extremely sweet and even offers snorkeling gear. I wasn't expecting too much from the reef here cause I was here during rainy season but was very pleasantly surprised. Most importantly there are two hammock pavilions with an amazing view! Could not possibly ask for anything else!
