Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenSihanoukville is distroyed and overrun by chinese. few westerners stay here, they just pass through on the way to the islands. I hated S-ville, but the hotel was fine.

GreeceThe room could use some minor renovations here and there, although it wasn’t a significant issue.
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore the area on foot, and its proximity to the coastline is another great advantage. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to assist us with everything we needed. We truly appreciated their thoughtfulness in preparing an early breakfast for us and arranging our transfer to the port. The owner was also incredibly kind, greeting us warmly upon our arrival.

PortugalAt times a bit noisy because it's right next to a busy road but if you have earplugs, you should be fine.
Check in was easy and fast and since the room was ready, I was able to check in early. Convenient location just a few metres from the beach. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Friendly staff and good food at the restaurant onsite. My room was big and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the AC was great. Good pressure and temperature of the water in the shower. Reliable wifi. Good value for money. Owner gave me a free ride to a pagoda.

FinlandThe reception was only partly staffed, although we were told to drop off the key when going out, this was not practical and I kept it. While the breakfast was fine, it was hard to find the place for it....sort of in the side of the downstairs area and with no buffet we had to choose from the menu. Maybe this was because there were so few quests.
I really liked the room, it was big and well laid out, with a sort of division between bedroom and sofa area by a panwl with revolving TV stand. There was a large balcony with a good view of a sort of wetland, with the sea in the background.

Cambodia- Cleanliness: 6/10. It's not good. I noticed stains on the bedsheet and blanket. Not isolated. There's many spots. At first, I thought it was my fault. I tried to clean it. I actually managed to clean most of it until I noticed the same stain near the edge of the bedsheet. That's when I realized it's not from me! - Vibe: 6/10. I guess it's the vibe of Sihanoukville as a whole. It's ghostly. Looks pretty much abandoned. I stayed at another place which is a dormitory style hostel. It was far more lively! - Bathroom: 7/10. It's very tiny and the shower door didn't even close all the way.
- Location: 10/10. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and other shops/restaurants. - Value for money: 7/10. The room is quite spacious with 1 sofa area, 1 sitting area, and 1 balcony. I paid 50$ for a night there which is like the standard price nowadays in Sihanoukville. The balcony is very nice (although, the lock doesn't work!). - Staff: 7/10. I visited during the Khmer New Year, but unlike the International New Year, it's not packed. It's very quiet. I met only 2 staff but they're both nice. - Shuttle: I didn't use the service but they did offer it to me on the day I checked out. Apparently, they offer free rides to nearby locations. - Toiletries: 8/10. They offer adequate toiletries (plus point cuz they offer conditioner as well.)

AustraliaFridge could've been colder, and whilst there was kettle in room no cups or tea/coffee
The room and bathroom was lovely and quite clean and comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. The hotel is older, but well kept, no pool so families with kids maybe better elsewhere. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to any travellers as great valve for money and the staff are very very helpful. I will definitely be booking this hotel next time I go to Sihanoukville.
