Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

I did the spa and then stayed a night in the accommodation, which was perfect. The area was so quiet, the staff were amazing, the setting was really pretty and the pets were really friendly and nice to have around. The food was delicious! So amazing for the price - a little oasis.

AustraliaIt was the highlight of my trip to Cambodia! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were kind and attentive, the huts were so comfortable, and the spa experience was unforgettable. I would definitely return in a heartbeat ❤️. The only negative were the hard pillows and no mosquitos repellent! Minor details, but worth noting.

CanadaJust to be aware, it is a little bit out of town. However, the staff can easily arrange transportation for you into town.
Lovely little oasis in the countryside. Amazing Khmer food. We felt well looked after by the staff and enjoyed a very relaxing day at the spa. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

United KingdomI loved everything
What a lovely little home stay and spa. If you like to live in a little bungalow next to a pond , listen to the animals, eat beautiful home cooked food together with one of the local staff sharing stories about her life and life in Cambodia then this is the place for you. You can take a bike to cycle around the area or do some yoga on your little terrace on the provided yoga mat . The spa is an experience for the senses where you make your body scrub yourself out of different roots and herbs . The smells are amazing . You sit in a tradition al steam room and get an amazing massage and a beautiful lunch with lots of fresh herbs . I would love to go there again next time . Thank you to sisters Finas, among, Fong and Mas.

AustraliaI loved everything about this home stay. An authentic Khmer experience but just a small tip - if you’re not there for the Spa there is little else to do but lie back, relax and read a book.
Beautiful women, delicious food and amazing spa!

IndiaThe beautifully styled bamboo bungalow was like a dream. Private balcony over the pond where they served a healthy breakfast was pure bliss. The staff did everything to make my stay comfortable. Extra fruit, bucket of warm water to shower, ginger tea because I had a cold. I felt nurtured and cared for in this eco luxury small scale location. A gem and must visit. Do get your spa treatment there! It’s highly recommended. Thank you Finas and team.

United StatesThe bicycles were "broken" so we were unable to go riding around, which is one of the reasons we booked a second night here. The evening/night-time quiet was marred by the hum of machinery (who knows where it was actually located). Breakfast consisted of a lot of carbs - it could be useful to have a short "choose your own" breakfast menu.
Loved the serenity of this location. The staff were very friendly and helpful (with explanations, with assistance in booking transport, provided tuk tuk out to the main road to catch the bus, etc.). There is a lot of great information available in English (written docs) about the Khmer traditions that guests participate in, and this really added to our enjoyment. The food was delicious, very fresh, and beautifully presented.

GermanySince the location is in cambodias countryside and I was the only guest on the property (together with Freya, the host), I somehow felt not the safest. Next time I would go there with a friend or just come for the spa experience.
Banteay Srey is such a beautiful place on the countryside of Kampot. I got picked up at Deva's Café from the hosts staff which was already so convenient. The bungalows are beautifully placed around a little pond and have everything you need (including a fan), but my favourite part was the balcony right above the pond where I had breakfast in the morning. Food is always made fresh and differs from the other Khmer food I found on my travels as I found it much more diverse and special! And then the spa experience: it was a unique flow the Khmer lady guided us through, from starting with making our own body mask from different roots, to having a steam bath, massages inside and outside the steam bath, to going into the little spring fed pool to cool down (all accompanied by the perfect hot or cool tea). You leave the place feeling so well taken care of and being a little bit closer to the ancient Khmer culture. Freya and the Khmer ladies were always the nicest, so attentive, warm and comforting. Thank you for this beautiful experience 🪷✨

United KingdomThere is nothing to dislike here in my opinion
If you treat yourself to one thing in Kampot make it this experience! The attention to detail here from the moment you arrive is exceptional, tea, fruit and a refreshing towel greet you, the staff are very kind and gentle. The bungalows are very comfortable, with a nice balcony area and view of the lake. The shared toilet and bathroom are all lovely, coconut nut shower heads and bamboo taps. You really feel like every detail has been done to perfection. The food which is included was the best I have eaten on my trip prepared and presented beautifully and plenty for you to enjoy. You are also served breakfast in your room. Also attended the spa day which was one of the most amazing, rejuvenating, uplifting experiences ever. The aroma of the steam room and preparing your body scrub is an incredible assault on your senses. I have been telling everyone to go here and am disappointed that we can’t fit in another visit. It’s impossible to express how good you will feel after treating yourself If you do one spa in Kampot make it this one and stay to relax afterward you will not be disappointed. This is exceptional value for money in my view.

SwedenEnchanting. A true sanctuary for the feminine spirit. Everything is done with love, you can taste it in the food, you can feel it in the air, and the warm welcome from the women who work here. I was also really pleased to find the body-work so gentle and soothing. This is the kind of place that once you step inside, time moves at a different pace. It felt like a trip to the past, everything is natural and hand-made, and the women here are so kind. I felt genuinely cared for, on every level. I cannot recommend it enough and am already looking forward to my next visit, when I will make sure to stay longer! Thank you for creating and sharing this wonderful and sacred space with us.

CambodiaOne of the best experiences that I ever had in 8 years in Cambodia. Started with a tuktuk trip, organized by the host. After a few minutes on the road, we were spoiled by a beautiful welcome with a delicious tea (ahhh the teas!!). It's a deep connection with the local culture, nature and self-care. The space is brand new, everything is super clean, the traditional food was very tasty, the host prepared vegan meals for the ones who don't do meat. The rooms are comfortable, fresh and waking up upon the pond is a plus. We prepared a natural skincare to use at the steam and I discovered many different ingredients used by khmer people. The staff crew are kind and they made us feel at a friend's home.

CambodiaI have no criticism.
This place is so special and is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. It was truly immersive. The women who are there guiding you are truly excited and proud to be sharing their knowledge and experience with you, and it shows. I felt like we were all old friends, and yet I can barely speak the local language (Khmer). It was an experience I will never forget.
