Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe bar was closed, apparently permanently. After a hard days travelling I needed a beer from a bar, not from a fridge. Talking about fridges, not one of them in the hotel was working. The staff are aware of this and management is trying to remedy the situation. The hotel is right on a very busy street and the footpath outside the entrance is basically destroyed. It's a luxury hotel in a downbeat area but isn't that Phnom Penh all over?
The rooms were excellent. Large, comfortable, and quiet with all sorts of amenities. The staff were always very helpful and offered me an upgrade every time I booked in. They also directed me to an excellent close by restaurant for my evening meals. The location was also excellent for me as a rail traveller. The station was only a short walk away.

ThailandThere either is no coffee shop or they for some reason don't serve coffee from their restaurant "bar" area. The "gym" or "fitness center" was bleak and the "Sky Bar" doesn't exist. The last one was actually something I really cherish in a city hotel.
Clean rooms and exceptional front desk and restaurant service. My fridge was on the blink and a new one showed up immediately, carried by a petite lady who refused my help.

CambodiaWifi wasn't great at all while I was there (though I was only there for a day so it could have just been a 24 hour issue). Channels were all Chinese.
Housekeeping returned a blouse and face wash I had left behind upon checkout. Staff were cordial. The tech is super cool for what you pay (there's a button to open the curtains, for example). And water was nice and hot.

ItalyThe Wifi in the Supreme Deluxe room (6th floor) is virtually INEXISTENT, which is sad, as it is the most expensive room in the hotel. The cheaper rooms downstairs have better ones. The traffic at night is audiable if you are sensitive Person
The Supreme Deluxe room by itself is awesome with the Iights and automatic curtains, ideal for love pairs.

United KingdomThe only issue I would mention is that the breakfast is small, however this is common throughout SE Asia and food / drink options are readily available within 2 mins walk so this is not really a problem.
Good location within walking distance of the main attractions in the city of Phnom Penh. On one of the main roads in the centre of Phnom Penh but no noise pollution at all despite the traffic outside which was important as I was in one of the front rooms directly facing the main road. Good service from the staff, a very well run small hotel.

MalaysiaI hate it when there is smell of cigarettes in the room when you first check in and the floor is sticky for whatever reason. And also awful smell in the hallway and inside the lifts. Mainly their guests are from mainland China so ya.
The room is quite new. Overall its a fair stay.

SingaporeWifi: This is the most serious concern, their Wifi is NOT password-protected. This makes it too easy for all your devices to get hacked by malicious groups externally. I relied on my roaming service throughout 4 days of stay which is very costly. Simply for this reason, I would not stay here again until rectified. Water: Chilled water bottle must be paid (1.5 USD) but room temperature bottled water is free. Fridge: It doesn’t work. It’s not cold at all, you put anything in there and it’ll spoil. Food: Room service food is not good, had super hard rice. Noise: My room window faces a very busy road and I hear all the horns, cars, loud songs that are played. They’re not overly loud that it becomes disruptive to my sleep but just loud enough that I can hear them through the window and it’s annoying when I want to rest quietly in the mornings or afternoons. Somehow the city seems to sleep after 10pm and so I’ve never been awoken by the same horns during bedtime. Once it’s later in the night, I slept well.
Room: Room is beautiful, cosy, lovely bed. They do have one of the nicest looking room at this cost around the city. Location: It’s very central, making it easy for you to venture by tuktuk about 8-10 minutes from every key spots of interests you’d like.
