The beach is gorgeous, but plastic waste washes ashore every day. Although some effort is being made to collect the plastic, I feel that this resort could be doing more, especially as it is an eco-responsible resort. It would be great if this resort got together with other hotels and resorts on the coast and made an effort to stop plastic from getting into the local rivers and into the sea in the first place. Preventing trash from entering the rivers and ocean would not only keep the beaches clean, it would save the lives of a lot of fish and birds, which inadvertently eat the plastic. Since tourism depends on clean beaches, it would be a worthwhile investment by the tourism industry to help local people living in coastal areas to dispose of their trash in landfills (or establish waste-to-energy power plants, like in Ethiopia), instead of throwing trash in the rivers and sea.

Turtle Bay Beach Club is a great place for families, especially if you have kids aged under 12. The huge pool is gorgeous and being right next to the beach, it means there's often a refreshing breeze. The shady trees are perfect for keeping cool while watching the older children play in the pool. And the buffet makes it easy to feed the kids!

Many of the dining staff were inexperienced. A large majority were on work experience and this meant there was variance in the service offered. The WiFi does not reach the rooms. Despite asking for it to be checked numerous times, the reception did not report back on the issue.

The pools are beautiful. The drinks and food menu is diverse. The rooms are clean and comfortable with functioning AC and a ceiling fan. The front desk was very accommodating with a late check out.

I would struggle to find the negatives. Beds a bit hard and WiFi wasn't great in the room but we spent most of the time by the pool and beach anyway and the connection was good there.

The all-inclusive is excellent value for money with a surprisingly large selection of food and drink. Location is stunning.

We loved the traditional style with the white washed buildings underneath cool makuti high roofs. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Always attentive to everyone’s needs and ready to help. The buffet style meals were excellent with plenty of choice to suit all tastes. The location opposite Turtle Island directly on the beautiful white beach is perfect. A visit to the Watamu Marine Park is a must. The variety of gorgeous marine life is a feast for the eyes.

We were really sad that the beaches covered in sea weed, which really you can do nothing about. I was upset that you ran out of ginger ale and it was not replaced.

The service was fantastic and your staff are fantastic. The rooms were comfy and cool with great views of the ocean.

The trainees need to be compensated more. The small stipend they get is nothing compared to the grunt work they do.

Pasta chef was excellent. But when he had the night off his replacement knew nothing and had not been briefed.

The Wifi was very weak in our room. It was almost not there. Also, the movie time was at the same time as dinner. it should be maybe one hour earlier or later after dinner.

The rooms are INCREDIBLY outdated. All the hardware is dingy or rusty, the bathtub was stained, it was very unappealing, and it takes a toll on the enjoyment. The breakfast specifically was not very good. There were always the same few options, and most of it wasn't tasty. They really just need to season it a little more, and it would make a huge difference. "All inclusive" is a bit of a stretch. There are certain drinks that are not included in the all inclusive menu, and require an additional charge.

The beach was amazing, there are a lot of activities in the area, everyone is very friendly, lunch and dinner always had a variety of good food, the massages were amazing, everything was fairly clean and well taken care of (if outdated).

The rooms were a little tired but comfortable and clean. The bedroom doors slammed a lot which was irritating.

The hotel is in the most fabulous position, enjoying the beach or pool as you want. The staff were SO helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.

At times there were many Masai Market traders trying to sell their wares around the pool. The DJ music was quite loud until midnight on Saturday. The airport (Malindi) shuttle service booked with the hotel was extremely over-priced. We felt like we were ripped off!

The rooms are decorated simply but well. We had a hot shower, working plumbing, a functional fan and air-conditioner, and a comfortable bed with a view of the beach. The food buffets were varied with options for all taste preferences. The singer on Saturday night was very good. The pools and watersport options were all managed quite well. The Gedi ruins are an interesting tourist attraction in the area.

Breakfast could have had a bit more variety between the days. Things I would have liked for breakfast: waffles, hashbrowns, stirfried vegetables. Kids club was less busy but that's probably because we didn't go during holidays. Needed a bit more clarity about the different "restaurants" - even the staff themselves couldn't give me clear information about the "snack bar" and what time it was available and what was on offer.

Delicious food - buffets were great. Location was nice. We went at a point where the sea was full of seaweed, but there was plenty to keep us occupied on the resort.

Nothing to dislike. I would love to come back again.

This was our second stay in Turtle Bay Resort and we were very happy with everything. Food is so delicious and fresh with a lot of new choices to try every day. Big variety of vegetarian options and also cocktails at the bar. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We also liked that there is a second swimming pool that is quiet and without kids. We tried the massaging studio and I can highly recommend it. Also booked the blue safari through the hotel and it was a great experience. Would definitely recommend visiting the hotel and the area.
