Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United KingdomThe aircon in my room was noisy and dripped water constantly onto the floor. Felt like trying to sleep in a room where it was raining inside the room. I also tried to go to the Indian restaurant only to find it closed, at 8pm Saturday night and found myself having to have room service instead as the buffet restaurant was the only other option.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The beach restaurant was nice. And the location on the beach was great.

KenyaThe predetermined seating arrangement in the restaurant is quite inconvenient as one may wish to eat earlier inorder to sit under a fan or with a view. Consider free seating/first come first serve basis. The table was not cleared during my entire dinner and breakfast which made it hard to eat on a full table. But some staff are quite cold and unfriendly. esp at the reception and some waiters at dinner. A little friendliness goes a long way. Unfortunately the music from the pool bar/beach bar was loudly audible from the pool facing/garden facing rooms all afternoon well into the night. Making it difficult to have peace and quiet. Wish I was given a warning about this beforehand as should be the norm.
The room was spacious and clean. Modern bathroom with hot water. Great view and lovely balcony. The hotel is directly on the beach with easy access and pool directly accessible and not congested. The breakfast and dinner was diverse and the chefs serving the food were very pleasant and friendly. Majority of the staff were cordial and friendly. Special thanks to Jacinta at reception and the towel handler/lifeguard who were very kind. Overall the stay was pleasant and facilities surprisingly great.

Breakfast was good, a wide variety of choices to eat from, not a wide variety of juices though but I suspect it is because they were doing fruit of the season for them. Staff during breakfast were alert and quick to serve

United KingdomChose to stay at this hotel mostly because of the availability of the gym which looked good in the photos. However, the photos were misleading, as the gym was not available and was under renovation during the period of my stay. The hotel is divided into 2 with a wall in between, and the gate in between gets locked in the evening so the other side becomes not easily accessible. The room was okay, but was disappointed that there was no fridge to store any food/keep cold drinks (which is very helpful in the hot climate!). The food was decent and on par with other similar value hotels. However, I would much more prefer staying at other hotels, such as Severin Sea Resort, which has a gym and also better room facilities (e.g. a fridge).

NorwayIt is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS going on in the hotel at the moment. Terrible noise. The workers were drilling and hammering in the wall for hours just outside my room. Worst experience ever with a hotel in Kenya. No information about the works on their website.
