The road outside was noisy in the morning with buses honking to call passengers. Beds were simple foam and needed replacement. Rough road to get to the lodge.

Very friendly staff who were very attentive and helpful. Nice view down the valley over some rural farms and tea plantations. Good birdlife from the lodge.

Make sure you have a vehicle with good ground clearance.

It's a lovely place with nice food and staff. The morning views of Mt Kenya and the tea-covered valley were awesome.

Amazing view. Such a beautiful place! Amazing staff. Gladys and Daniel are doing everything to make you feel home and comfortable. Peter the cook is also an amazing guy who prepares lovely food and is totally flexible with his menu for example with providing vegetarian options!

I had a 4x4 so the rougher gravel road with a lot of potholes was OK.

Fairy tale location with scenic tea plantations all around, great walk with a guide Daniel.

Bedroom and bathroom. Sitting room was very basic. Some nice furniture would make a big difference.

The location was wonderful. Staff were excellent. Food was good but bedroom and bathroom were small and cramped.

Maybe sometimes it get‘s a little bit cold in that area, so be prepared.

It was just stunning. It is not easy to come there but it’s worth the effort. Stunning view in the middle of the tea bushes. The Lodge also has tours to offer for a very low price. And the staff, WOW, they were just amazing all over. We loved it there and felt home in the first second.

Nothing that much to do for longer stays apart from possibly hiking, for those looking for more to do. I enjoyed my quiet stay there.

Loved the size of the room (very spacious) and has a balcony. The room has a nice view of the valley and tea plantation. It is quiet and the food it good! Nice surrounding area to walk around with beautiful views.

    Nothing

Hands down the best and freshest food we had in our two week journey through Kenya. Locally farmed chicken, fresh vegetables and tea farmed just behind the property.  This is not your usual holiday destination. Its in the Kenyan highlands and we didnt see any foreign tourists there which made it even more special. We had a huge suite with 2 double beds. The hotel is locally ownded and managed. The Kenyan highlands are an agricultural paradise, fresh fruit and vegetables and miles and miles of tea plantations. The weather is cool and the scenery stunning. We stayed here to access Abedare Park but the closest gate was inaccessible and we had to drive 50 miles away to Treetops Gate. This location is worthy of a visit, the Chinga Dam is very picturesque. The staff, Rose and Peter the chef are fantastic and a real credit to the hotel. Will definitely visit again.
