Everything was just perfect, better than we expected. This place is created by kindest people, who took care of us from the very beginning to the very end - Alex (intern who accompanied us during the game drives), Daisy, Joshua, Sylvester, Geoffrey, Melody, Mark, Paul, Brian, John and all others. Our special thanks go to Sakut, our Masai tour guide who is doing amazing job. During our Game drives we saw hippos, many, many lions, leopard (3 times!), cheetah, antelopes, gnus, pumbas, gazelles, topis, impalas, black buffalo’s, giraffes, elephants, crocodiles, and many others. He knows everything about animals, and told us a lot about Masai culture. If you decide to stay at Mara Intrepids, ask for Sakut, he’ll make sure your stay will be unforgettable like ours. We will definitely come back for a great migration.

The room was fantastic and very comfortable. The food was good and the staff were very kind. Our game driver was great as well.

Housekeeping did not take our laundry the first day despite it being in the basket. They also did not bring clean towels and we had to walk to the front desk on both occasions to get these taken care of. The laundry service was not included. Also, the only drinks that were included were tea or coffee. Had to pay for water at meals.

I don't think a 10/10 review could do this place justice. The staff were on point and every need was catered for. The location was incredible with wildlife literally on your doorstep, or in the case of the monkeys, inside the camp! The guides were fantastic. All of the food was beautifully prepared and nothing went unnoticed. We had an amazing stay here and our only regret was not staying longer.

It’s a fantastic place in an excellent location. Staff are great, the most outstanding was Sakut, our Masai guide, who helped us finding our way in the savanna and showed great experience in spotting animals.

**An Unforgettable Experience – A Dream Come True in the Heart of Maasai Mara** From the moment we arrived at this incredible tented camp, my wife and I knew we were about to experience something truly special — and it exceeded every expectation. For four unforgettable nights, we were immersed in the heart of Kenya’s Maasai Mara, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, wildlife beyond imagination, and the kind of peace you only find in nature. But what truly made this stay extraordinary was the warmth and hospitality of the people who made us feel like family from the very beginning. The tented camp was pure magic — luxurious yet beautifully connected to its wild surroundings. Falling asleep to the sounds of lions in the distance and waking to the songs of birds as the sun rose over the savannah is something we will never forget. The attention to detail, the comfort, the warmth of the campfire under the stars — it was like stepping into a dream. Every game drive was a new adventure, and our guide’s deep knowledge, respect for the land, and ability to track wildlife left us in awe. We witnessed the Big Five, playful cheetah cubs, herds of elephants, and even a leopard lounging in a tree — moments that made us feel truly alive and connected to something greater. But it was the people who made our stay exceptional. The staff treated us not as guests, but as dear friends. Their kindness, stories, laughter, and care touched our hearts deeply. We came for the wildlife, but we left with full hearts, beautiful memories, and lifelong connections. Thank you to everyone at the camp for giving us one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives. This was not just a vacation — it was a journey of the soul. We left a piece of our hearts in the Mara, and we can’t wait to return.

Lovely camp right next to the airstrip so very easy and accessible. We had amazing games drives, our driver Silas was knowledgeable, friendly, and spotted many animals for us during our game drives. Our waitress Anastasia and waiter Sylvester were always in amazing spirit, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed having a menu to order from each day and the food was always very good. Our tented room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. While other guests were in the camp we had moments where we had spaces to ourselves and even on our game drives at times we were alone with amazing sitings. Perhaps this is the benefit of the low season as I was concerned things would feel overcrowded. I would definitely recommend the camp to others, I’ve been on many safaris before in other countries and this felt on par.

Location, proximity to airstrip, customer service, quality of tents, game drives

Humidity and smell of the towels and bed sheet. No preparation for the havy rain during game drives - we were completely wet…

Since we arrived at Mara Intrepids, they welcomed us like royalty. Our assigned driver was Paul who took care of all our Safaris, every day and every daily route was geared towards showing us the best of Masai Mara, he is definitely responsible for half of all our amazing experiences. He was in charge of contacting us with the Ballon Safari, an experience that I recommend not to be missed and take us to visit the Masai Mara Village. Upon arriving at the Camps, Debbie, Queen and Daysi welcomed us, with exquisite hot towels for our hands and an exquisite juice, offering and demonstrating to us in spades during our stay that they would be there for everything we needed and that was the case. Our room was taken care of by Leah, who every day dedicatedly prepared our room, closed our musketeers, set out hot water bottles and brought hot chocolate or coffee for us before our first daily game drive around 6 am. After returning from our Safaris, delicious food awaited us in the restaurant where Shillaw and Masila were in charge of serving us, knowing our tastes and often anticipating our requirements, they consented our son with all his tastes. I just want to say, if you want to know Masai Mara, the place is Mara Intrepids. It is worth every penny and despite being as generous as we could with our tips, it will never be enough to compensate for the attention. Asanté!!

    Nothing! Everything was perfect.

We very much enjoyed the site, the staff and the safaris' guide.

We arrived a Saturday afternoon by normal car and were stopped at the entrance of Masai Mara because we were not travelling with 4 wheel drive (this was not indicated on Booking.com). We tried to contact the lodge to come and pîck up us at the entrance but nobody replied (we tried 3 different numbers) while we had confirmed that same morning of our late arrival. Finally we had to hire a Masai to drive us to the lodge. It costed us 8000 ksh and we were feeling very unsecured because we did not know the driver and it was getting dark. Fortunately, we arrived safely. At the reception, we were told that the numbers available on Booking.com were from Nairobi office, which is closed on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. We found this explanation unacceptable as the minimum would have been to provide the number of the lodge when the central office is closed. As compensation, we got reimbursed of some of our drinks but not of the full amount of the taxi and not for the inconvenience created. Pity for such a nice place !

A breathtaking experience. The resort is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the safari drives were astonishing. Our guide Joab was the best. We saw all that the Mara had to offer, extraordinary close ups with leopards, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants and countless others. Highly recommended.

The staff are welcoming. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Our guide was knowledgeable and we saw an incredible range of wildlife. The tents are very comfortable and all meals were lovely. Although it is nice to take the breakfast and eat while on safari, eating breakfast at the camp is nicer.

This is a well sited a superbly maintained safari camp close to the airstrip and beside a river. The tented facilities are comfortable and spacious and sufficiently dispersed to ensure privacy. The staff are, without exception, polite efficient and very helpful and the safari drives were extremely interesting and fruitful guided as they were by excellent drivers who know the area like the back of their hand. I must also commend the catering which was superb. To produce a delicious 5 course lunch and 6 course dinner in the middle of the Masai Mara takes exceptional skill!

    Nothing, I wouldn’t change a thing!
