Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Democratic Republic of CongoCould be so much more with better maintenance While the location and environment are wonderful, I was disappointed by the condition of the rooms. The amenities feel outdated — old beds, worn-out bathtubs, and a general lack of cleanliness in the rooms. For a property that presents itself at a five-star level, the standards need serious improvement. With better room maintenance and upgrades, this place could truly live up to its potential.
A beautiful and peaceful escape I really enjoyed my stay at Lithuanian Lake Naivasha Country Club. The location is perfect — calm, surrounded by nature, and ideal for a relaxing break. Seeing animals around the pool area was truly magical, especially for kids. The small playground is a nice touch for families. The staff were also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. Highly recommend for a peaceful and refreshing getaway

United StatesThe pool bar was not open and no one was around to take my order. Cocktail drinks prices at the restaurant bar are high and should be reduced. No sweet wine options. The hot water is solar so if no sun outside then no hot water to use. The pressure was low since many people were taking showers in the morning, so we couldn’t take a shower. Had to wash up with the sink water which was a little warm.
The location is right in Naivasha, easy access from town and Nairobi. The scenery was amazing, right near the lake. Wonderful experience seeing animals up close- zebra, giraffes and hippos. Inclusive meals is easy and was variety of buffet food options

IndiaRooms are dated and are below average. Staff is not considerate. We asked for a vegetarian packed meal for our Game drive, however we got non vegetarian food in our packed meal. Further on coming back to the property we were told that lunch will only be served who did not opt for the packed meal. Further, they serve complimentary 1.2 litres of water per day for 2 adults.
The location of the property is fantastic. Hippos and Zebras graze on the property. Picturesque property.

NetherlandsThe high price they charge for taking a boat ride on the lake from the hotel grounds. Looked for another option 2 minutes away from the hotel and was able to get it for more than half the price they charged at the hotel.
Amazing view of the lake, lots of animals walking right on the yard in the evening. Friendly and helpful staff and good food.

UkraineIMHO, it's overpriced even with all the beauty and comfort it offers. Having booked we selected an option for 4 people in one room also thinking that a room MUST be big enough to accomodate 4 people but it very much wasn't, it was a normal 2-people room where the staff offered on the spot to put 2 extra beds, so they didn't even prepare the room. So of course we were pushed into booking one more 2-people room, meaning we have paid de facto for 6 people: so once for 4, and additionally on the spot for 2 people. It's not professional to even have the sort of offer they sell - 4 people in a 2-people room in the first place, especially if the hotel positions themselves as high class.
Great to have animals, particularly, the hippos on the territory of the hotel. The place has a nice pool, very good buffet. Reminder keep windows and doors of your rooms shut, especially when you have food inside, as monkeys appear in seconds to take that food away from you.

United KingdomNothing particularly- the bedrooms decor could be updated which I believe is planned anyway
The hotel is really close to the lakes edge We were guided to a short distance from hippos grazing on the grass in the evening. Zebra and giraffes also wandered through the gardens - felt totally safe as staff always on duty. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were so helpful- particularly with our grandson’s food and bottles of milk.

KenyaI agree with some other posts that the rooms could be updated a bit, but we were more than comfortable.
My family and I were very happy with our stay just before Christmas. Our two little ones loved the playground, pool, and all the animals we saw (ie giraffe, zebra, various deer, wildebeest, monkeys and sooooooo many hippos!) We had the full board and every meal was excellent. Service is fantastic! The servers in the restaurant score 100% on customer service.
