IcelandWe stayed at the Jumeirah Beach Front Apartments in Nyali, Mombasa for a week, and the location is truly stunning. The apartment is right near the ocean, with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean from both the rooms and the pool. It’s a short walk to the beach, and there are lots of fun activities nearby like boating, Wild Waters, Mamba Village, and Promenade Mall. We stayed in a spacious four-bedroom apartment on the third floor, which had amazing views. However, the amenities left a bit to be desired—especially in the kitchen. If you’re planning to cook your own meals, this may be disappointing. The apartment lacks a washing machine as well, and we had to wash clothes by hand. Laundry service is available, but it’s quite expensive. They do offer 24-hour catering from their in-house restaurants, which is convenient if you’re okay with eating out for every meal. Overall, it feels more like a hotel setup than a home-away-from-home. The management was helpful but communication was quite slow at times, which made coordination a bit frustrating. This is a great spot for someone looking for a relaxing stay by the beach with hotel-style services, but if you’re after a more self-catering, homely experience, this might not be the right fit.
