Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaUnfortunately one cannot enjoy the beach properly because once you reach the sand local vendors try to sell items to you rather aggressively. They have absolutely no respect for someone that just wants to enjoy the view and have some peaceful moments looking at the ocean. They are always one step behind you and try to talk to you - for someone else that isn't used to Kenya this might seem quite intimidating. The pillows smelled like the sheets were not dried properly - which gives a moldy smell and gave me nausea. The amount of conference guests disturb the holiday feeling quite a bit. The spa is quite small but the quality of the offerings is very high.
It was my second time in the Hotel and it fulfilled the expectations. The variety in food was wide and ranged from local dishes to international cuisine. The pool is huge and the view of the ocean with all the palms is amazing. The staff is very polite and greets guests when passing. The wifi and smart tv were working flawlessly. Every night there was an evening program and the animation team really gave their best. Security is very high - one can leave a power bank or items at the pool bed without worrying that it disappears while swimming or walking at the beach. The staff is very attentive on that!

Democratic Republic of Congohowever for someone coming to kenya for the first time some of the lunch option were very oriented to kenyan culture which is a plus for someone who like to try out new food but in my position it was a bit difficult and therefor ate the same thing everyday almost. if they can include some sea food that would be great.
the breakfast was more then satisfying ,

South AfricaWe booked this trip 3 months ago, it was our second time coming to Pride-Inn Flamingo. I informed the front desk we would only be arriving between 7 and 8pm. On arrival, we were informed that our room had a maintenance issue, and we were transferred to a room in the hotel next door at Kilua Residences by CityBlue. This did not meet our expectations at all. We were not a part of the resort we paid and booked to be at. We had only a 2 night stay, and we only spent one evening at Pride-Inn Flamingo - it was a huge disappointment.
The resort layout has a very nice flow to it. You can get from the lobby to the ocean in a 2 minute walk. Nothing is too far or out of the way. The constant ocean and pool views are amazing. The accommodation is close to all the buildings and facilities, with wonderful garden views.

KenyaA few times, my room was cleaned after 5 p.m., which was later than I would have preferred. It would have been nicer if it had been done earlier in the day.
The kids’ club was fantastic, with friendly and welcoming staff who organized plenty of fun activities that my son absolutely loved. The food was amazing, and their chapatis were simply irresistible!

KenyaA Truly Memorable Stay at PrideInn Resort – A Solid 5-Star Experience From the moment we arrived at PrideInn Resort, we were met with genuine warmth and hospitality that made our stay nothing short of exceptional. At check-in, we were welcomed by Cynthia, whose beautiful smile and warm demeanor instantly made us feel at home. She took great care of us from the very beginning until we were comfortably settled into our rooms. Cynthia truly embodies the "pride" in PrideInn. The staff across the board were amazing, from Dismas, the waiters, Joshua, and the stewardess Eunice, to the lovely lady stewardess (I regret not catching her name).F&B Dalili Special mention to Ali, with whom we had a great time playing darts. One of the highlights of our stay was the Saturday night games team. They brought incredible energy, especially with the children. Their enthusiasm and creativity made the evening funfilled and unforgettable for the whole family. A huge thank-you to the kitchen team and chefs, a definite 5-star effort. They went out of their way to ensure my toddler had porridge ready throughout our stay without a single hiccup. That kind of attention and consistency speaks volumes. As with any experience, there's always room for improvement. During check-in, we did encounter a lady whose attitude was not in line with the otherwise outstanding hospitality we experienced. It's a gentle reminder that a team is only as strong as its weakest link. That said, the majority of the staff were true gems, incredibly welcoming, always smiling, and more than willing to help at every turn. Their dedication turned a regular vacation into something truly special. We look forward to returning and making even more memories. Keep up the excellent work, PrideInn!

KenyaBeing lactose and gluten intolerant, it was a bit tricky at the beginning of our stay because most of the food options had gluten or dairy in them. The chefs did make effort to accommodate us, but a lot more can be done in that area so that there are more options available.
PrideInn Flamingo is a beautiful hotel and we had a lovely stay. It was a birthday treat for my partner and a lovely getaway from the cold season in Central Kenya. The staff are friendly and I’d especially point out Tom in housekeeping and the wait staff Peter and Sharon (bespectacled) and Joel for their good service. This was our second stay at this hotel and we will definitely be back again and again.

KenyaEverything was exceptional apart from below Outdated room - despite opting for a suite, though happy with overall space, the look and feel of the room could have been better, main issue was with the washroom. It was not up to the mark (very low water pressure, outdated fittings, foul smell throughout the stay, very bad drainage system) upgrade to this highly recommended (not sure if this issue was specific to this unit or similar overall in other suites too) If not for this, it would be 10/10

FranceI had a great stay at PrideInn Flamingo in Mombasa. The location is beautiful — the hotel is right by the ocean, with both a sandy beach and a rocky coastline. Part of the hotel is actually built on the rocks, which gives you a stunning view from the pool down to the ocean. The pool itself is fantastic, although towel service can be a bit slow. It’s supposed to start at 9am, but on some days, towels weren’t available until nearly 10am. Aside from that, the service was excellent — the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The food was very good. If you can, I highly recommend going for the all-inclusive option. Otherwise, meals are charged at 4,000 KES each, but there’s also an à la carte menu with more affordable options. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit dated. A bit of renovation and more modern decor would really elevate the experience. Still, it’s a lovely hotel overall and I enjoyed my time there.

United KingdomWe were not told about the facilities at the back of the hotel / night club until the last day !
The staff and facilities makes this hotel a 5 star in my opinion! Amani and Lucky's Entertainment Team was top! The chef Khamisi and Albert catered for our allergies and food preferences! Rodger's and team members Ogembo/ Chickanda / Frederick / Rehima at the bar were very nice and professional! Omar Ali at the gym was professional / kind/ knowledgeable and gave us good tips and techniques as Fitness Instructor. Josephine (Rahema) did a wonderful decoration of our room to celebrate our anniversary! The restaurant bosses and staff including Joel and Jaranda ( sorry I don't remember your exact name) made our anniversary special with the cake and entertainment! The reception staff Hope / Cynthia and others were always at hand to help and support. The pool staff Ravasco and Ghulani always keen to help and support!

United Arab EmiratesIn generalall went well.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the warmth and professionalism of the staff, among the best I have ever encountered — genuine, attentive, and remarkably skilled at ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for. Moreover, I must recognize the hotel reservations team, led by Ms. Nimah, for exceptional assistance in organizing my excursions, safaris, and tours. They went above and beyond, seamlessly setting up every detail with precision and care. Whether it was arranging transportation, choosing the best safari operators, or recommending hidden gems in Mombasa, their expertise elevated my entire vacation. Thanks to their meticulous planning, I was able to experience the very best that Kenya has to offer. The facilities are impeccably maintained, both the rooms and the public areas. If you're planning a trip to Mombasa, I can easily recommend Pride Inn Flamingo Hotel as the ideal place to stay.
