We liked everything:)

It was one of the best and cosiest places I ever stayed. Linda really takes care that you have everything you need and you are comfortable, and provides tips to enjoy Kyoto, info about events, etc. It really felt warm and a special experience. We also took the evening tour with Lee around the Geisha neighborhoods and were glad to spot some! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Kyoto.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Linda‘s place! She is very welcoming and always ready to help you if you have any questions or problems. We felt like home from the beginning. The place itself has everything that you need, is very comfortable and located in a beautiful area next to a beautiful temple and a nice area to stroll around. On top you get to experience sleeping on a futon which is way more comfortable than we expected! We recommend this place to anyone that wants to visit Kyoto and would definitely come again! Perfect as is.

The location was central to major sites. Right in Gion. Linda was a perfect host. Spotless and lovely ryokan. Lynda was amazing ! So helpful and caring about her guests.

Such a wonderful experience staying here! We were made to feel very welcome and at home. The house is a traditional old wooden Kyoto home which has been comfortable updated inside. There was everything we needed including a small kitchen area, and a washing machine and balcony to wash and dry some clothes. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful in giving us tips to help avoid the crowds. Really a prefect place for our short stay in Kyoto!

Nothing, it was perfect.

It was so perfect. The host couple are extremely kind and friendly and put us at ease immediately. The accommodation has everything you would need and so much more! The place is beautiful and cosy and it looks even better in person than on the photos. Not to mention the location in Gion but in a quiet street, which allows you to stroll in some of the most beautiful areas of Kyoto in the evening when it is super quiet.

It was totally amazing, the hosts were very nice and kind, thanks to them the experience was unforgettable, the house was very beautiful with an amazing traditional room, the emplacement was perfect (very close to the famous Kyomizu dera temple). One of my best experience of all time, the hosts deserves this type of comments! Highly recommended!! Thank you !!!

We personally loved the firm Japanese style futon beds but they may not be for people that prefer a soft bed.

Generous hosts with amazing recommendations and a warm positivity. Excellent amenities - washing machine for laundry, hot shower with great water pressure, plenty of tea/coffee, a microwave and fridge, large closet with hangers, and basically anything else we may have needed while visiting. Very central location with a bus stop, multiple konbinis and grocery store a few minutes away, but on a quiet side street so it's not noisy. The photos don't do it justice!

Linda is an amazing host and her house is fantastic. We had a large room and access to Kitchenette and two toilets and bathroom, dining area and a balcony off our room where we could dry our clothes. Free washing machine. Linda is very knowledgeable about Kyoto and gave us heaps of excellent recommendations . We wish we had booked longer here. W The room is a traditional Japanese room with seagrass matting and futon beds and doonas. We were so comfortable. The house is down a little alley way and very quiet even though so close to busy tourist areas. We highly recommend this place!

Amazing location right by all the attractions in Gion but in a very cute and calm area. The highlight of the Guesthouse is the wonderful host Linda. She really made our stay unforgettable with her kindness and hospitality! Thank you so much for the photos, amazing recommendations and chats :). The room was nice and spacious with even a small balcony and the futons were very comfortable.

-Strategic location to explore the historical Kyoto alleys and temples; a taste of daily life of the locals -The hosts’ hospitality was unbeatable, they really made the stay feel like a home away from home. Despite the unstable weather conditions I felt safe and enjoyed my tea time when there was need to stay indoors. -I received some sensible advice and was fortunate to be at the amazing 建仁寺 illumination experience which I had no idea before. -There was even a night tour, I learnt so much about the Geisha culture and had an unforgettable night view, the host’s passion for Kyoto was infectious.

1. The owner of the place is extraordinarily great! The couple is from Taiwan so they both speak Chinese and English very well. The service and the support they offer is much more than any other places I have ever stayed. For example I need to transfer one suitcase to my next hotel . The landlord helped me to fill in the form and even found a small box for me for my extra stuff at late night. Very nice & helpful. 2. The room is quite spacious compared to normal Japanese hotel . My friend stayed there with me for 2 nights and we felt quite comfortable and have place for our big suitcases. 3. It’s the residential area but also very close to the famous travel spot . I could keep going on and on 😂

The accommodation is clean, comfy and has everything you might need. It is situated in the walking distance to all the major tourist sights but hidden in a quiet side alley. The owners are super friendly and they give you all kinds of tips on where to eat, what places are worth a while, how to get there, heads up on ongoing events and much more. It can’t compare to a normal hotel. It’s better in every way. I would love to come back if I get a chance.

The hosts were very nice and kind. They gave us useful tips what to visit in Kyoto. The room was clean and comfortable - we really enjoyed sleeping on the futons. The location was perfect, most of the sights were in walking distance, which meant we could enjoyed them in the late evenings without the crowds.

The photos don’t really do this place justice. It’s such a little gem, and the host is just so incredibly nice and helpful. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying for a few nights.
