How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis was such an excellent stay at the camp. Considering the location, the facilities were fantastic. The camp was basic, but warm and comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. The food and activities were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The cost was very reasonable.
Everything was great - we had such an amazing time.

Verified reviewIf you want an authentic experience, seeing and hearing about Wadi Rum from a real Bedouin, this is for you. This was a very personal experience, getting to know our guide, Itiyac and experiencing the magic of Wadi Rum. He hosted us superbly well at his camp, which is traditional in nature yet has a fully functioning toilet and shower facility. The rooms/tents are very comfortable and we were given the option to sleep outside as it was warm. We were treated to a fabulous traditional dinner and then sat around the fire listening to Itiyac telling us stories about Bedouin life in the desert. The following day, a breathtaking safari around the Wadi Rum reserve. There are several other glitzy looking camps around Wadi Rum but if you want the real deal, this is where it is. I would not hesitate to recommend Wadi Rum View and will likely go back again.

Verified reviewThe best two nights we had in Jordan! I will never forget the feeling of looking at the starry night in the desert while sitting in front of the bonfire and drinking warm tea. The tent was comfortable and cozy, dinner and breakfast were abundant and good. The tea that was offered to us was the best we had in the whole trip. We'll miss this place!
Welcome to our camp, Wadi Rum View Camp. I hope to see you in a new adventure next time. I hope you have a good time and thank you very much for everything. All respect 🙏🖐⚘️

Verified reviewEverything was perfect — from the warm hospitality of our guide to the breathtaking beauty of the desert. The peacefulness in the early morning, with the soft light spilling over the red rocks, was truly magical. Waking up to such silence and scenery felt like a dream. Highly recommended for anyone looking to truly disconnect and experience the desert in its purest form.
Welcome my friend to Jordan, to Wadi Rum, your second home. I hope you have a happy time. With all appreciation and respect.🖐⚘️

Verified reviewMagical, Beautiful, very special. We arrived as strangers and left as family. We had the most authentic, relaxed, happy, safe adventure. Live as a Bedouin. Respect their traditions. Immerse in the culture. Live your short time with self described ‘Sons of the Desert’. This touched my heart. Don’t hesitate, just book and go. Our first day we were picked up and taken to the desert and we had pre arranged camels to take us to sunset. Take a warm fleece and scarf for the drive through the desert and a scarf and your sunglasses to keep out the sand. That night we spent it sleeping in the cave which was wonderful. Watching the stars from our mattresses yet warm and cosy wrapped in our large heavy blankets. All very clean and comfortable. Dinner was very good hearty home cooking with salads, bread, tahini, Baba Ganoush. Delicious. Our guide was like a good friend. We were welcomed warmly and he worked so hard, cooking our breakfast, lunch and dinner. Making and breaking camp. And such good fun! We had a lot of laughter in our camp! Then all the leftovers were laid out on a rock for the birds and animals to come and take their fill. A beautiful mother dog with signs of puppies came and ate well before carrying a sandwich off far into the desert to feed her babies. We were told Bedouins care for all the animals. The second night at the camp was a real surprise. It was better in real life than I imagined. Communal dinner in the big tent was buffet style and great. There was also a charging point to recharge everything but no WiFi. It was bliss to live without WiFi for two days, try it!!! Also if you can take out some gifts from your country. They are well received. I took lots of cat food too and fed a fair number in Jordan! Plan your trip well, book the trips on offer. They are worth every penny. This type of experience deserves awards. Don’t hesitate to book. Memories made for life and we will return again, Insh allah.
Thank you so much and see you soon 🥰

Verified reviewWe had an amazing time at Eteyg's camp. The location is perfect, at the base of a cliff with a stunning view across the desert and far from other camps. The night sky was magnificent, we stayed up late counting shooting stars and meteors. The food, especially the zarb cooked in the sand, was delicious. And Eteyg was the perfect host and guide. Smart and funny, he made us feel welcome and was eager to share with us his love of the desert and knowledge of its ways. We will be back.
Thank you my friends and I hope to see you in Wadi Rum on a new adventure in the desert and I wish you a happy life🌹🌹🌹✋️

We were really welcomed in the warmest, simplest and friendliest way possible. We immediately felt at home. the breakfast is very good, the value for money unbeatable and the host understands our expectations very well and really wants to share with us his good plans in terms of visit and experience.

Our host is great, very attentive, welcoming, high responsible. He provided us with great tour around the desert, showed us the best places. Verified reviewI had the most incredible experience at this camp in Wadi Rum! The guide was absolutely amazing, making our desert adventure unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to warm hospitality and a taste of true Bedouin culture. Our guide shared captivating stories and showed us the hidden gems of the desert, including breathtaking rock formations and ancient petroglyphs. The camp itself was cozy, with comfortable accommodations and delicious traditional meals cooked over an open fire. At night, we were treated to stargazing like we had never seen before, with the guide pointing out constellations and telling us tales of the desert night sky. It was truly a magical experience. I can't recommend this camp enough. It's not just a place to stay; it's a journey into the heart of the desert, guided by wonderful people who make you feel like family. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!

Verified reviewOur Host (Abu Aws) was wonderful. He picked us up from the visitor's center and drove us out to the camp in his 4x4 truck. The whole family fit comfortably in his truck and enjoyed the ride. You can pay for an extra jeep tour (sunset, ruins....etc). The sunset was peaceful and gorgeous. Dinner and breakfast are included, which are generous and traditional dishes which were enjoyed by the whole family. Tea and stories by the fire under the stars with our host were an enjoyable cap to the evening.
Nothing! Great experience and wonderful service.

Verified reviewThe camp owners have been extremely nice. They reached out over Booking and later over WhatsApp to send GPS location of where we should meet them. They picked us up and conducted our tour (2-hour jeep tour) which was exceptional. They provided a very nice sunset viewing (as a free/welcome gift). Later they drove us to our camp and provided a very nice Jordanian dish (called "Zarb"). Overall, the experience was just great. The camp owner has been very accommodating!
Nothing much really; The place was awesome.

Verified reviewVery good nice camp with all good facilities. Away from other camps, great location. Its a night to remember in whole of Jordan , you are in safe hands with Ateeik عتيق - very trustworthy & welcoming, showed us the beauty of Wadi rum & all the main sites. It was a great day & company. The dinner served (zarab) on the spot, prepared by his brother Mohammed, was great opportunity to try real local food. Breakfast included. I highly recommend this camp.
