How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAwesome tent with huge windows and amazing view of Wadi Rum! The traditional Bedouin dinner was delicious too. The owner was so friendly and we were able to split up our tour to do a couple of hours in the evening and see sunset and then the rest the next morning, which suited our plans perfectly.

Verified reviewThe tent was exactly as on pictures here. Very spacious, luxurious, with fantastic view. If you book a trip with them, all transfers to the Wadi Rum village and back are free. I took a 4 hour jeep tour, then 1 hour camel ride, good many good memories. You have water, tea, shampoo and toilet paper there, so no need to bring any with you. The food was delicious and diverse. I really loved how the cooked Zarb, traditional food. Everyone was welcoming, in the evenings we gathered near the fire and had a lot of tea, shared stories, made friends. Internet is unstable, but still impressive to have it in the middle of the desert.
The ventilation in the bathroom was very loud, but maybe i just didn't know how to turn it off for night.

Verified reviewWe had an awesome stay in Wadi Rum. Reid and Naif organized everything excellent and were always willing to help us. Since we booked our stay, Reid communicated with us and answered our doubts immediately. The rooms were spacious, clean and with an increidible view. Breakfast and dinner was included in our plan, and they were very delicious. We traveled with our two children (4 and 2 years old) and they enjoyed every moment with our hosts. It was very cozy and we felt like in home. Naif is very charismatic and was a great guide during our tour through the desert. If we come back to Wadi Rum, we will definitely stay with them once again.

Verified reviewThe location of the camp is excellent, offering more privacy as it’s slightly more hidden and isolated than other camps, allowing for a truly immersive desert experience. We stayed in the tent with a glass view, and it was absolutely stunning—the view was breathtaking! The tent was equipped with an en-suite bathroom with hot water, and everything, including the water pressure, worked perfectly. Eid and Zayef both speak English and were wonderful hosts—kind, friendly, and attentive. They prepared delicious meals over the fire under the starry sky and during our desert day trip. The tour itself was an incredible experience, giving us the opportunity to connect deeply with the Bedouin community.
There’s nothing I didn’t like.

Verified reviewIt was awesome! We also booked the full day jeep tour and 1hour camel ride. We had a perfect guide, who was really patient (my friend had lots of questions :D ). The "tent" was comfortable, we had a room with 3 single beds and a private bathroom. There was also hot water, we had electricity all the time, even there was a wifi (not a very strong one, but still - wifi in the desert...). We also had a great dinner and breakfast. Totally recommended!
It was cold in the room (it was February), but there were really warm blankets, so it wasn't any problem at night :)

Verified reviewFantastique experience staying here!It exceeded our expectation! Very spacious and clean room. Wonderful food (dinner cooked with traditional Bedouin way and breakfast) The staff and the owner is extraordinary and genuinely kind. Our guide for the jeep, Yusuf, is very patient and experienced. We did half-day tour with a sunset tour. Awesome experience. 100% recommended to stay here!! It is a remote area with no internet connection, so it is a best way to (re)connect with the nature, in this impressive and spectacular area.

Verified reviewStaffs are amazingly welcoming. We had a great Safari Tour, highly recommended. Breakfast is good and dinner is so delicious. They made a special local food that I have never heard of. Location is pretty calm and you can see the milky way at night. Loved the atmosphere. They did their best to comfort you. Their tea is amazing and hospitality is up the roof. Toilets and showers are always clean, there is hot water all the time and their WiFi is working in the middle of the desert. I am so glad I came here with my wife and we both had great memories here. Would come again.

Verified reviewI stayed at Rakan camp for 2 nights and it was amazing! I completely immersed myself in Bedouin life, listening to music, sharing stories in front of the fire and drinking tea! Rakan was super, kind, attentive and always happy to answer any curiosity! We also did the desert tour which was magnificent! The places are beautiful, the Bedouin lunch unique and at the end of the day we relaxed drinking tea and watching the sunset! I recommend everyone to come to Rakan camp if you really want to experience desert life!
Thank you for your kind review, we hope to see you again in wadi rum… Best regards

Verified reviewStaying in Rakans Camp was amazing. The atmosphere is great. We would sit together after dinner, Rakan and his friends shared stories and we had a lot of fun. The Camp is further away from the village than some of the others, so it is very peaceful and calm out there with an incredible nightsky to enjoy and beautiful sunrises. The food is very delicious, so I can recommend Rakans Camp and Tours to all of you if you are coming to WadiRum. Its the perfect place to relax and unwind while discovering the desert of Wadi Rum!
Thank you so much for your kind review,, we will be happy to see you next time…
