How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWe had a hard time choosing among the many desert camps in Wadi Rum, so we asked the driver we booked (for our trip from Amman to Petra and Wadi Rum) for recommendations. Of the three he suggested, we chose Dream Camp, and we could not be happier with our decision. The two of us were the only guests that day, and we were generously upgraded to the bubble camp. Thank you for that! Also, thank you for preparing such a feast just for the two of us — hopefully it wasn’t too much trouble. The location of the camp is excellent: Secluded enough for peace and quiet, yet only about 10 minutes by 4x4 from the drop-off point. Our stay was made infinitely better by our amazing guide, Fahad, who picked us up and also led our sunset tour. Fahad is a genuine, thoughtful guide who truly wants his guests to have the best desert experience. He is also a skilled photographer and videographer. We enjoyed the sunset tour so much that we added the stargazing tour, which was equally magical. Our only regret is not staying another night. Highly recommend both Dream Camp and Fahad!
The only minor issue was that the bathroom floor was a bit slippery. A bath mat or extra towel for the shower area would be useful. (I’m sure they would have provided one if we had asked, but our stay was short and we happened to have brought our own indoors slippers, so we didn’t.)

Verified reviewThe staff at Dream Camp were amazing, and communication was excellent from the start! We arrived by taxi, and everything was smoothly arranged—Abdullah met us at the parking area and brought us to the camp with ease. The camp is located inside the protected area of Wadi Rum, right in the heart of the desert—not outside the boundary where park fees are often avoided. Upon arrival, we were generously upgraded from a standard tent to a bubble tent—thank you, Dream Camp! The cook, Ramzi, was fantastic, preparing delicious and diverse meals, including a traditional dinner cooked in an underground oven. The jeep tour drivers were a lot of fun and incredibly knowledgeable, taking us to all the key sites and sharing insights about the desert along the way. Tea is always available throughout the day, free of charge, and the camp's location allows you to enjoy both sunrise and sunset views each day. There were no hidden costs—everything was discussed clearly and in good faith.

Verified reviewWonderful experience in the Arabic desert. Everything was perfect. The lantern-lit rock hill behind the camp created a very romantic atmosphere in the evening. Enjoying our dinner in the outdoors against such a backdrop made the experience truly unforgettable. The communal dinner, with the main dishes (chicken and veggies) cooked underground in traditional manners, was delicious. Our one night stay was also packed with activities. We only had time for a two-hour jeep ride before sunset but it was a lot of fun — we got to climb onto a sand dune, saw some ancient Nabatean inscriptions on rock walls, got our face painted with red powder coming straight from a rock, stroll through a pretty canyon (with the heads of T.E. Lawrence and others carved the rock), and saw sunset at a nice spot. We also really enjoyed the star gazing tour after dinner and learned not just about the stars but animal tracks in the desert. Staying in a dome tent was a great experience. For some reason, we weren’t able to book a dome on Booking because we exceeded the two person limit. In reality, however, the dome can accommodate up to 4. Luckily, we got upgraded to a dome free of extra charge. An hour of camel ride after breakfast rounded our fantastic stay at Dream Camp.

Verified reviewEverything was perfect! I did the sunrise camel tour and the 4x4 tour and it was amazing! My guide for the 4x4 tour was Kaleb and he was photographer too haha
There isn't much pressure in the shower, but I guess that's because you're literally in the desert!

Verified reviewNayel’s Jeep tour was exceptional and the highlight of our whole trip! During this, we learned about Bedouin culture, had some maklube, and, of course, were blown away by the scenery. Abdullah upgraded our room to a bubble suit for free (we were lucky as the camp was not busy on arrival). In all, I can unreservedly recommend it.

Verified reviewThis camp is great, the personal is really helpful and they are always attentive to our needs, they explain very well all the activities available and how can you expend your time in the camp, this was definitely the place with the best personal we found in Jordania! Btw the dinner was delicious and the tour provided by the camp is just awesome, the guide did everything for us to enjoy it.

Verified reviewWe had a great time at the campsite! The staff were super friendly, and the food was delicious. They even gave us a free upgrade to stay in one of the bubble rooms, which was such a cool experience. The little tours they offered were fun and well-organized. The desert scenery was absolutely stunning. I’d still recommend this place if you’re looking for a unique stay in the desert. Just don’t expect luxury, and be prepared for a bit of adventure!
However, just a heads-up: during the daytime, the bubble rooms don’t have enough electricity to run the air conditioner, and the water pressure in the shower was quite low. It’s all part of the desert experience, but something to keep in mind. So you cannot spend time in your room even for a small nap, because inside of the bubble was very hot. Also they provided only small towel, so bring your own.

Verified reviewWadi Rum Dream Camp was honestly one of the most special places I’ve ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with so much warmth — it felt like being with family. The landscape is absolutely surreal, and the jeep tour was next-level (like seriously, it felt like we were on Mars). The food was delicious and homemade, and you could tell how much care went into everything. But the real magic was the stargazing — I’ve never seen the sky like that before. It was quiet, vast, and just… wow. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s the kind of experience that stays with you.
