Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumCommunication with Dana Eco Camp was very smooth. Upon arrival, we received a free upgrade from a tent to a room due to the cold night. The views were the main reason we booked a stay here, and they did not disappoint. The hosts are truly kind people with whom we had some lovely conversations. It’s the perfect location for enjoying nature and hiking. The only downside is that we should have booked two nights instead of just one. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jordan!

Franceone of my new favorite place in Jordan : first we were upgraded (we originally booked tents and it was a bit cold so we were given little appartment), we had a great hike organised with our local guide Esem and some great food from breakfast to diner. I highly recommend this place as the view is astonishing, people are so kind and all is very clean. I will never forget those moments with my family so thank you very much.

BelgiumOur stay at Dana village lodge was nothing short of magical. This eco-tourism project not only benefits the entire village but also provides guests with an authentic and deeply enriching experience. Each day, a different local resident helps welcome visitors, alongside the ever-helpful Houssein. We were treated to delicious meals cooked over an open fire in true Bedouin style, reclining on cushions and carpets while sharing stories with locals. At any time, tea and coffee were offered, making us feel truly at home. We had meaningful conversations about culture and Islam, adding depth to our experience. The views here are simply the best in Dana—majestic and breathtaking. The rooms are simple yet spacious, as expected in such a remote setting. Waking up to the sounds of larks and wild animals was a rare privilege, making this place feel like paradise on earth. If you're seeking tranquility, authenticity, and unforgettable hospitality, this is where you need to be.

BelgiumThe unforeseen weather :)
If you like remote, simple places, this one is excellent. Away from everything. The views are amazing! You park your car in the village and they pick you up and take you to the place where you are welcomed warmly by everyone. Everyone is super friendly and the food was delicious. They even put a heater in our room because it was a cold day/night!

SingaporeWadi Dana Eco Camp was a beautiful, cosy place up in the mountains, with a stunning view of the valleys and perfect for viewing the sunrise and sunset. The staff of the camp were very welcoming and attentive - we had perfect service from the manager of the camp (sorry I didn't manage to catch his name!) He arranged all our hikes seamlessly, made sure everything was well on time, and that we were always stocked for food and taken care of. He also went the extra way to help our friend with arranging wifi/data connection for an important call she had to take - which was truly appreciated! The drivers, Riyadh and Majed, were safe and skilled in navigating the terrain - Riyadh was also very funny and great to hang out with :) Our guides, Asem and Isaam, were great - both very professional, Asem was kind and supportive during our shorter hike, and Isaam was very fun, skilled and reliable throughout a full day in Wadi Ghrweir. We also want to highlight the incredible breakfasts and dinners cooked by the cook in the camp!! So good. Overall, a wonderful trip, where we felt we made new friends, in a warm, welcoming environment. Will highly recommend for sure.

United KingdomBecause of the political situation, I have been the only guest. So it was a unreal situation, just me and the three-four people running this eco camp. It was a friendly and unique experience. We had long, philosophical talks. They served amazing food and tea, and on top of that making this a lovely memory the sunset. I travel a lot but haven’t seen anything comparable. Additionally they recommended a two hour hiking trip (for free).

United KingdomThis tourism co-op is an excellent choice in a beautiful location just outside the village. The views are amazing. When we arrived my friend had a bit of a bad stomach the friendly staff made her some special herb tea which really helped. All the staff were very friendly and helpful a special mention to Ghaleb who has excellent English. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good hot shower. Our room had a lovely sit out area with a fantastic view over the valley. Especially good for sunsets There is no menu just set meals but food is very tasty and plentiful. They can help arrange treks to different places and taxis All in all an excellent choice.
