Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

JapanVery nice room for a very good price, Host families were very friendly and nice people. I was going to go for a restaurant for dinner, but they did had a home cooked dinner option so I gave it a go. They had a decent selection and was happy to cook on short notice. Food was delicious and it was very satisfying meal and probably better and fresher than many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was also very good Arabic breakfast. They also offered to take me to the bus station after check out which is very helpful. Great value overall.

The room was very cosy, just what we needed for a night of deep sleep after attending Jerash festival. The family who run Celestia were all very kind and hospitable. The food was perfect and tailored to our needs! We decided to do a day of touring the desert castles with Celestia, and had a wonderful, relaxed and comfortable time!

BelgiumCelestia Inn Boutique Inn is well-located, the room is comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The hosts are among the kindest people we've ever met. We stayed in Jerash for one night and forgot to book dinner in advance, but a last-minute reservation at the hotel was no problem. The hosts were incredibly kind and prepared a delicious local meal for us. I would highly recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Jerash.

United StatesWe drove to this hotel directly from the airport. It was a nice place to start our vacation in Jordan. They were so helpful and accommodating. The air conditioning in the room was good. Breakfast was filling and good. Be sure to ask for the hibiscus tea. It was wonderful! We appreciated the kettle and refrigerator in the room. The location is 4 minutes (by car) from Jerash archeological site. You could see some of the columns from our room. The attached picture was taken from our bedroom. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Saudi ArabiaI was hoping to see the ruins from my room to sit and relax in the evening. However, I was given a ground floor room which meant we could not see anything apart from the small garden linked to the room. Even if you sat there you could not see the ruins.
The location and staff are great!! The room we had was small but functional and clean. Good sound proofing so the noise outside was not a problem as long as the windows were closed. The breakfast was lovely and a real family feel to the place. Be sure to have cash as no cards taken.

United KingdomUnfortunately, Jerash Ruins are themselves covered in litter, and particularly around the fence outside which the property faces. I wouldn't recommend Jerash for this reason, despite this being a great place to stay.
Really friendly family who run this place. Breakfast is good here.

United StatesTerrace room uses a water boiler for the shower, which ran out of hot water.
Located very near the entrance to the Jerash ruins, the inn is perfect for those who want to start a morning in Jerash. Room and facilities were very satisfactory aside from the limited hot water for the terrace room. Friendly cats in the neighborhood as well.

Such a lovely little boutique B&B style hotel! The building and the rooms were absolutely charming. One of the rooms we booked had a lovely view of the lights of the city and the ruins in Jerash. The family that owns this hotel are also absolutely lovely people brimming with kindness. They were so welcoming and hospitable, interrupting their Iftar to check us in, and answered all our questions. They made sure we were comfortable for the night and delivered an outstanding home cooked completely delicious breakfast the next morning before we left to explore and then journey to the airport. I could not be more thankful as I was traveling with elderly parents and they had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Thank you to all of you! We will visit again soon!

Dad expertly drove us up to Umm Qais and Ajloun Castle, son interpreted and walked around with us. We had the best time and would very happily recommend (and return!).
