Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWe stayed for one night at the camp. The parking area is located at Camp 1, which is perfect, easily accessible with a regular (non-4x4) car and right next to both the historic train stop and the hot air balloon launch site. We had booked a stay at Camp 2, which is much more scenic than Camp 1, as it's set on a hill away from other camps and faces the sunrise over the endless desert. Initially, we were told that due to low attendance caused by the nearby ongoing war, it wouldn't be possible to stay at Camp 2, which was empty. However, by booking a private 3 hour desert tour —which turned out to be spectacular— we were able to be taken to Camp 2 and stay there all alone, in a front-row room! (For safety, a staff member stayed with us at the Camp 2 reception throughout the night, so we were not stranded in the desert). Whenever needed, we were promptly driven back to Camp 1 for dinner and for breakfast/check-out. It was a breathtaking experience, and we sincerely thank all the camp staff. Highly recommended! It will remain an unforgettable memory

Incredible location.Had 2 Martian tents for our family. Glad that we choose the Luxury camp 2 as it was a bit further away and not so many people as the main camp.Felt more authentic. Waking up, the view was totally out of this world. The staff were very friendly and the food was really delicious. Would definitely go again..

The breakfast was a good spread. Despite the remoteness of location the team ensured that break fast was sufficient and good. Mahmoud was taking care of us and ensured that we were attended and fed well :)

IndiaThe bathrooms and bath amenities are a little less maintained - the shower area has only a direct shower (no tap+shower head combination) and yet they didn't provide showercaps. The towels do not seem to be thoroughly washed. In the bedroom, the AC had a slight mechanical problem with its swing. We made a temporary fix by connecting a thread and that seemed to work well. But we didn't really complain as everything else was ok. Though the tents aren't quality-wise as luxurious as one may believe from the photos, they do a really good job considering the lack of other infrastructure in this area. And we felt it was really ok for the price and the experiences we had.
We had originally booked another of their camps which was a little more into the interior, but since they didn't have many bookings there we got shifted to their main site which is just off the road into Wadi Rum. And boy, were we thankful! This was a much bigger camp, with a lot more activities and many, many spaces for lounging and a really big meal area. We met Hassan himself during the check-in and he was a very quiet person but very efficient and let us know all the details needed. They included dinner in our plan (breakfast was already complementary) and their spread was just A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We loved all of their dishes and were so full each time! They had a large range of salads and there were always two or more curry-type dishes (however, we didn't see the other western tourists enjoying as much. So if you're not really a foodie nor relish exotic arabian flavors, do reach out to Hassan or his team and they will make the arrangements for you). But the best part was our Martian tent which was all the way in the corner of the camp from which we had a view of the large desert in front of us and an excellent dune slope just behind. The tent was very spacious and well equipped, save for a few things. We even took a stargazing short trip (20 JD per person, worth it despite the local clouds, coz we could see Saturn with its rings and the whorls on Jupiter). Sunset trip was good too. Train trip was really fun. The next night we indulged in a little folk dance (the other tourists were just sad coz they didn't join in, but I think during the weekends it may be more lively coz of more locals). You can have sheesha for a small charge after dinner. Many of the reviews complain about the AC during the day... but we went at the end of October so it was quite pleasant during the day, plus the shadow of the rock behind our tent meant that it didn't heat up in the morning... so we needed the AC for only about a couple of hours during the afternoon.
